February 2 ***** we purchased a used 2009 Jeep Wrangler from woodman Nissan. At the time of purchase it was not disclosed that the vehicle had a Branded Title. This information was only recently discovered when attempting to trade the vehicle in. The dealership we tried to trade the wrangler in to told us there was an odometer roll back with the 4th owner. I went home to look at our paperwork and the odometer disclosure statement was left blank. Sonce our sale paperwork was not fully filled out at signing and ******** is a non title bearing state, we were unaware of the fraud sooner. We have spent roughly ***** in repairs in a year and a half just trying to get the wrangler to run. It has spent more time in shops that at put house. We have receipts of our repairs We sent a letter to woodman Nissan via certified mail asking to resolve this issue that they received on 8/26/22 and received no response from them We also sent an email on 9/15/22 and received no response back about pur issues.

We want to respond to the complaint submitted by ************************  Yes, he did purchase a vehicle from us in 2021.  It was a 2009 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited.  We are sorry he was not happy with this vehicle.  He stated that there is fraud involving a title.  That is not true.  Please see attachment.  This title for that vehicle does not show any brands under where it says Title Brands.  Any vehicle over ten years of age has an odometer that is exempt.  Our store did receive a letter from ******************, and our General Manager made a few attempts to reach out to the phone number provided, but there has been no return call in response.  There is no reason for a refund or exchange of that vehicle.  No fraud was committed.  The odometer on that Jeep is exempt.

I am rejecting this response because:

We received  no phone calls or voice mails about this matter. I am sure our phone records can prove that too. Although, i will encourage  your general  manager  to check the area code as the ** is either lying  or needs to pay better attention  to detail. We never received the car fax to sign and when you pull the car fax now it states warning branded title.  Right at the top. The National Highway ***************************** Odometer Rule Changes Disclosure Exemption from 10 to 20 years which began on Jan. 1, 2021.
On Oct. 2, 2019 the National Highway ***************************** (NHTSA) issued a final rule on Odometer Disclosure Requirements. One of the most important and immediate impacts of the final rule affecting all **** jurisdictions is new requirements regarding the capture of mileage disclosure for a significant number of previously exempted vehicles. ******** is in compliance with the new odometer disclosure requirements. For states that are not able to meet the programming requirements by Jan. 1, 2021, when a title is transferred into ******** from one of these states, ******** will be carrying forward the odometer indicator from the previous jurisdiction. If your vehicle is a model **** or older the odometer can be exempt but if the vehicle is a **** model or newer, you must show odometer when transferring title. This law also requires the seller to write the mileage indicated on the odometer on the vehicles title when ownership is transferred. If the seller knows this number to be inaccurate, he is also required to provide a written disclosure of this fact. If the vehicle is 10 years old or older, however, the seller can simply note that no disclosure is required or write exempt in the space for where the odometer disclosure is made. The paperwork  I attached  does  not have any of that information on my copy of the paperwork that I provided.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
We had this case investigated and it turns out the dealership that was NOT woodman Nissan that provided us carfax and information  that was not correct about our vehicle.  Woodman Nissan  is also willing to work with ** about the jeep wrangler with trading it in and such which we really appreciate.
    Sincerely,

    ***********************

I scheduled my auto a week in advance to have the windshield cameras re-calibrated after a new windshield was replaced. I took the vehicle in and arrived early. I was quoted in writing an amount of $383.95 + tax. I arrived later to pick up the vehicle to find that I was also being charged $45 for misc *********** supplies. I asked why this amount was not part of my original written estimate and the representative stated that every customer is charged the fee. I replied then you should have disclosed it when you quoted me the charge of $383.95 + tax, obviously since the6 knew about it. They said they would not refund it nor provide an itemization for the shop supplies used to re-calibrate the cameras. I advised that I would be filing this complaint.

Shop supplies is billed to every customer to help cover the expenses of materials or equipment used. since customer was not advised of charge during initial quote, we will contact and provide a refund for the $45.
