They installed a solaredge system on my roof and in my house. In addition to the inverter they installed an ev charger that is connected to the inverter. This ev charger works about 20% of the time. The chances that it works correctly 2 times in a row are rare. I am constantly having to do a system reset to get it to work again. I think it may have something to do with inverter communications, which works off a cellular connection. We get very weak cellular signal at my location, and i told them at the time of installation that they should connect the inverter via my land line ethernet modem. I believe that would have been far more reliable, but instead they stuck me with thin inferior communication solution. I hate this ev charger that never works and i feel it is there fault. This is not a company i recommend. They act like they know what they are doing but they really don't.

This system was initially sold to the homeowner by a separate company called Zenernet.  They went out of business during his project being underway with permitting and utility approvals. Because the materials (SolareEdge) had already been allocated and permitted from what was originally sold to the homeowner we kept the same product on his installation even though we do not normally promote or install the SolarEdge product. Pro Bid Energy was hired to install a solar system with an ** charger which was also SolarEdge.   We did successfully install and commission the system and everything was working normally for a few years.  The issue the client has is not with our solar installation or the installation of the SolarEdge ** charger.  However, the manufacturer (SolarEdge) is where this issue is as the client stated this SolarEdge ** charger was having issues not from any poor quality of installation but rather an issue with the quality of the SolarEdge ** charger.  Our team is incredibly responsive to any calls or emails directly to our company but we did not see any emails, texts, or calls from this homeowner regarding this issue.  Since we received the notification of this complaint we immediately called and spoke to this homeowner regarding his concern.   We confirmed with the homeowner that the issue is not with anything Pro Bid Energy did but rather some faulty component or poor quality of the manufacturer's (SolarEdge's) ** charger.   We provided a solution that he was happy with.  The solution was that we would provide a brand new circuit to his garage at our expense and we would then install any other, high quality, ** charger of his choice that he would purchase. He agreed to this process and we are actively working with him to get our part of the solution completed. He agreed that once everything was completed that he would also remove the complaint as he also acknowledged that the issue was not the install but rather a manufacturers issue with the ** charger.   Once we have completed the work by adding a brand new breaker and circuit to his garage and wiring up a new ** charger the customer amicably agreed to remove this complaint altogether.

I am rejecting this response because:

Probid Energy agreed to put in a separate circuit that I could use to charge my vehicle. They did not install a separate circuit, but instead piggy-backed off an existing circuit. (Part of the original ev circuit that went to my homes electric panel. They used the same breaker and circuit to power this new 220 volt outlet.) This means my homes electric panel will become overloaded if the 220 volt outlet (which they installed) is used simultaneously with the Solaredge ev charger. This new 220 volt outlet that Probid Energy installed should not have been installed using the same wiring and circuit breaker as the Solaredge  ev inverter, which they originally installed in March of 2023.

In addition to the work they recently performed, I now believe that Probid Energy's original installation in 2023 is defective. I say this because they installed a cellular communication device that is used to communicate with the Solaredge servers. At my homes location I have very poor cellular communication. The Probid Energy technicians agreed with me that the poor cellular signal is probably causing the problems my Solaredge ev charger is experiencing. I am attaching my original contract with Probid Energy. In it you will see the following:

Pro Bid Energy hereby provides a ten (10) year workmanship warranty with respect to the System and its installation.

I have conveyed to Probid Energy that an ethernet communication solution that utilizes my homes ethernet modem would solve the communication problem. Their technicians agreed with me that this would be the best solution. I think Probid Energy should come out and make this change. I have an ethernet cable and a port on my router to make this change. All they would need to do is come out and use their solaredge app to make the change.
