Purchased a 2013 **** Escape. I was told, stay in town, when taking it for test drive. We did. We relied on the information given to us by the salesman and made the decision to buy it. We paid more because of the "repairs" we were told were done. They lied. Thats false representation. They even kept it an extra day to do some "work" they said needed to be done. I was given a copy of the state inspection repairs and was told multiple times that all the repairs that were listed were done. This includes, a coolant flush, oil filter gasket, spark plugs etc. They put the billing hours down and the materials used, but they in fact were not done. I took it to my mechanic, who looked at everything. Nothing they said they did was done! If they had even opened the hood, they would have found a rat's nest and the remnants of a dead rat. The stuff it ate up and the real smell. They knew about the smell. The tried to cover it up with a charcoal cabin filter and air freshener. The coolant wasn't flushed; it was gooey and smelly. The oil gasket was leaking; the vacuum pump was leaking. They lied about doing what they guaranteed was done. Now it's going to cost me more money to fix things they said they did. I will not take the car back to them. They are not trustworthy, and I don't trust them to do the work. Little did we know; by staying in town, we didn't see the whole effects of driving over 50mph. Which if done, the entire dashboard and speedometer shut off completely. It stops working. We can't see how fast we're going. Thats dangerous! Was that known too? And not disclosed?? Now, more money I have to come up with to get something else fixed! We tried reaching out to them. Was transferred to multiple people, nobody called back, they ghosted us and no longer will talk to us. Just because it's used doesn't mean, things didn't need to be fixed before selling. (Consumer Protection Law) I want some money back to have a real mechanic fix what they refused and lied about fixing.
