A representative came to our door as we were exiting. Initially, they intentionally represented themself in a manner that would lead us to believe they working on behalf of PG&E. After talking to us about credits and billing, they began pressuring us to sign up for things under the pretense we did not receive rewards we were entitled to, only to later confirm they were from another company altogether. After visiting their website, we found they will not let us cancel for at least one billing cycle despite having just signed up in the last hour under misleading circumstances. They even inched their way into my doorway as I tried to back away and had their feet blocking the door from closing.Business Response

Hello,
We sincerely apologize for this poor experience. We are unable to locate an active or pending service at this Service Address. Is it possible another supplier may have solicited you? United Energy Trading does business as Callective Energy, ********** and Power, and Greenwave Energy. Please confirm who the supplier is that contacted you and/or is active on your bill and advise us if we may assist further. Greenwave Energy is often confused with Wave Energy, who is not affiliated with us at ****
All suppliers are required to hold new enrollments for three business days from the date of enrollment before submitting that request to the utility, in which time customers are able to contact that supplier and rescind their services without any changes taking effect to their account.
We hope this assists with any questions or concerns, and apologize again for not having further data to provide. Please feel free to contact us directly at **************** Mon thru Fri from 7am - 2pm PT. We'll be happy to assist any way we can.
Best Regards,
Customer Service

I was contacted at my door by someone acting as if they were helping me get a refund of my high gas charges which seemed legit because theyve jumped recently pretty high. It made sense cuz he knew our mobile home park just went from a mobile park account where you pay the park energy bills with rent monthly and now we just got our own meters and have a private bill. He asked for my PG&E bill to show me what rate would be changing to quite a lower rate. Of course Im for a lower bill who isnt? But to confirm my enrollment which in itself seemed off, I had to get a text message and click a link which I outdated a phone call. He told me to put it on speaker phone so he could guide me thru the call quickly. I should have stopped there I realize after the fact, but I was busy and excited my bill would go down finally. On this call I had to say my name and say yes 3 times to questions, question 1: I was not promised a lower rate or discount or rebate, He rushed me thru as he was surely trained to do and I wasnt confident enough to end it there unfortunately. Question 2: You understand this is a 3rd party gas provider? No I didnt understand that until it processed after the call. Question 3: you agree to terms ect. Altho it missed my blank response it put it thru as approved. I did try to ask the door to door guy about those things but he assured me all has is provided by a 3rd party but theres is cheapest definitely cheaper than the rates Im getting. I went online to call the company immediately to cancel because I was not feel right, and felt scammed. This process sealed the deal for me. First the number went to a voicemail that was full, then I tried again and it went to a revolving message. I ran down my street and found the guy and asked for a good # Receiving the same #, I simply took his personal info, he offered that I take a photo of him and his ID tag but I knew it would not get me any further in ending this madness. I want this to not start at all, everBusiness Response

Good morning,
We're very troubled to hear of the interaction this customer had with one of our representatives, and immediately launched a full internal investigation into the matter. We sincerely apologize for this poor experience. We were able to take the information provided by this customer, located their enrollment, and have processed an immediate Stop Order on it. We had yet to submit this enrollment to their utility, and are happy to confirm we will not take any effect on this account.
We attempted to reach the customer at ************* to confirm these actions and offer any further assistance we can to help provide peace of mind that this matter was taken overly serious and to ensure it will not occur again in the future. We were forwarded to a voicemail and left a detailed voicemail on how to reach us if we may be of further assistance.
Again we'd like to thank the customer for bringing these serious concerns to our attention in effort of always looking to improve our services and how those services are offered to eligible customers. We sincerely apologize again for any inconvenience and poor experience that was had.
Sincerely,
Customer Service

Sales *** said that it would keep my gas charges at .5 or less per therm. My bill shows 3 dollars a therm. That's 6 times what was promised by the sales ***. He pushed the entire time and knocked on my door despite my no solicitation sign. This was false advertisement and this company should be ashamed.Business Response

Hello,
We're sorry to hear of these concerns regarding this enrollment with Greenwave Energy. We have processed a cancellation request and submitted that to the utility for acceptance. Upon the utility accepting this cancellation request, they will apply this change to the next applicable meter reading. As the utility does not allow any changes in the middle of a billing cycle, please allow 1-2 billing cycles to see this change take effect.
Please fee free to contact our **************** team at ************* Mon through Fri from 7Am - 2PM PT with any additional questions or concerns.
Best Regards,

I am rejecting this response because: what about the false advertisement that your sellers put forth? How can it increase by so much but be told it won't increase for 12 months? Greenwave energy is a scam that claims they will help with your bill but you actually pay more.

Hello,
We apologize for the confusion.
The desired outcome was listed as "end of contract". We have processed that request within our initial response based off the request that was made.
We have your account at a fixed rate of $1.20 per therm guaranteed for 12 months. You may confirm this by viewing the "Details of UET DBA Greenwave Energy Gas Procurement Charges" page of your invoice. Our rate has never changed since our enrollment began, however your usage may vary month-to-month based off of changing usage habits, usually due to heating the home over the winter. You may be seeing a $3.00 per unit charge under your Tier 1 & 2 charges on the "Details of PG&E Gas Delivery Charges" page of your invoice. PG&E's Tier 2 Usage charge exceeds $3.00/ therm for January and is just under that for December. PG&E's Delivery Charge amounts are unaffected by whether you choose to have a supplier procure your gas.
We hope this helps address any concerns, but we're happy to assist further. Please feel free to contact our **************** Team at ************** Mon thru Fri from 7am - 2pm PT.
Sincerely,
Greenwave Energy

Good morning.
We apologize for any trouble reaching us at Greenwave Energy, as our hours were temporarily limited for the Holiday season. We have located this customer's account and have processed a cancellation request which was submitted electronically to their utility today, 1/7/2025. We did attempt to return this customer's calls twice, on both 12/27/2024 and 1/2/2025. We reached a voicemail both times and left a voicemail advising of our limited holiday hours and that any follow up calls would be returned within 72 hours.
Greenwave Energy is fully licensed and regulated to operate within the state's Gas Choice Program. We have located and reviewed the Third-Party Verification completed by this customer to authorize this enrollment. All terms and Conditions of the service agreement were agreed to by the customer on this recorded verification. We are unable to justify a refund at this time.
Please note, the utility will not allow any changes to be made in the middle of a billing cycle. This may result in Greenwave Energy charges appearing for 1-2 billing cycles.
Thanks,
Greenwave Energy Customer Service

Felt very pushed by sales representative to sign up for greenwave energy tooday 10/23/24 even though that bill was not in my name. After doing a search and review I see negative comments about the cost going up and up instead of down like they promised. My father-in-law who the bill is actually under was pretty upset about the situation as well. Especially that he is on a fixed *********** wife got laid off recently. I thought I was doing a good thing unfortunately feels like I've been scamed. I'm hoping to get this situation taken care of sooner rather than later. I will try again tomorrow to cancel. Hopefully, the company sees this and takes care of this problem immediately.Business Response

Hello,
We are sorry to hear of this poor experience and are happy to assist with this cancellation request. We have located the 4/12/2024 enrollment and have submitted a Stop Order Request to ensure no unwanted changes are made. At Greenwave Energy, per ******** regulations, we must hold any and all new enrollments for 3 business days before submitting anything to the utility for service. This enrollment has been successfully cancelled with no changes being made.

The Salesman from Greenwave energy company tricked me into signing up for Greenwave energy as new Gas supply provider to replace PGE under the guise of lowering my bill. Very unethical and ******* way of stealing of customer's trust. I am never going to let anyone from Greenwave come near my house. I have been trying to cancel my subscription but their customer department is not very cooperating. I DO NOT CONSENT TO CHANGE OF GAS SUPPLY PROVIDER TO GREENWAVE ENERGY.Business Response

We have researched and do not find any record of this customer. Is it possible to get any complete information? The following is incomplete. The name cannot be found in our system, as neither the email address. The phone number is incomplete. We cannot provide anything with incomplete information for research. Is the PG&E account number in a different name possibly? Thank you.

I have submitted an application for cancellation of service on your homepage, but you still deduct my fee every month. I request a refund. I don't need your service, please cancel it immediately. You can't force me to use your services.thanksBusiness Response

*****************,
We have received your complaint. We cannot find receipt of an electronic request via our "homepage" but do have a call on file requesting disconnect on 1/29/2024. It normally takes 1-2 billing cycles for the disconnect request to process through PG&E. Greenwave does not have termination fees and certainly does not want any customer to feel as though you are unable to request disconnect as it is your choice where you purchase your natural gas. We have requested a retro disconnect from PG&E, this will refund you the $130.87. Please note, you will be responsible for the gas usage at the PG&E rate for that time period, as the gas was used. Please allow the 1-2 billing cycles to see the Greenwave credit on your bill.

A green wave rep came to my home and I was told that this bill will help lower my life bill. They took my phone and answered questions. They told me to tell ******* over the phone that they did not touch my phone. Thee fees with green wave have been higher than my actual PGE bill. I've called several times to cancel with no resolution. I've cancelled online with no resolution. PGE says they can not help. It is very frustrating and I just would like to cancel what I THOUGHT and what I was told would lower my bill. They are scammers in my opinion.Business Response
