******** failed to notice a discrepancy between the protective order and the temporary custody orders she wrote up. One allowed me to be in proximity to my ex in order to transfer our son, the other did not. ******** specifically told me that I was safe to be present when transferring custody of my son. I was arrested as a result of her counsel. Furthermore I was kept on house arrest for 2 months following this before the charge was dismissed after I had lost my job due to wrongfully being placed on house arrest due to ********'s negligent counsel. In addition to this, she had doubled the amount of child support I was calculated to pay and only corrected her mistake after I pointed it out and had to argue and prove to her that she was mistaken. In further addition, during an enforcement hearing ******** failed to include any of the dates of the violations that occurred despite me sending them to her, causing the judge to postpone the hearing which it turns out ******** also forgot to file with the courts leading to them having no records that such a hearing is due to take place.Despite Modern Family Law admitting guilt un this, they refused to negotiate in good faith and chose to offer a measly $2,000 in restitution, an amount they are very aware doesn't even remotely cover the financial cost of their negligent counsel let alone the nonfinancial damages they caused. They only care about money and shouldn't be trusted to behave in good faith.

If you want to know what it feels like to be an atm machine then modern family law is the firm for you ! This Is a great place to be double , tripple , and quadruple billed for everything you do with them and when questioning them about your itemized invoice which will be a mile long and medical billing look easy , you'll find that every single email or conversation you have with your appointed attorney will need to be discussed , emailed, conferred, researched, with at least 2 or 3 other staff members in the firm and you will be billed for each and every one of them at whatever their rates are , You will never be notified of this upfront, believe me I read the fee agreement 3 times front to back. This is made worse by their general lack of contact about your case with you and overwhelming disregard for any sense of urgency , Oh by the way if you contact them and ask for a status update you get charged for that !If you dare to question their shady billing practice you will be met with harsh rude hostility and you will not even receive the most basic of explanations . Their tactic will be intimidation and then hope you'll go away . Well I won't be going away ill be filing with the colorado bar assoc. AVOID THESE SCAM ARTISTS AT ALL COSTS

I have retained this firm to assist with a child custody case while I am no longer in the state ***** and neither is my child. **************** is very knowledgable, patient, kind and hard working. However this firm is beginning to lose my trust and patience; and I wish it was as easy as taking your attorney that has been so kind and having them represent you outside of the firm but totally not possible. Like another reviewer stated it is a large bill every two weeks. They do not do payment plans so be prepared to have to front the entire bill that is sent to you; as a newly single mom and not getting any support from ex, limited resources of family help etc. It is very discouraging when you literally are signing your paychecks over every two weeks in hopes that this wins your case. The billing department ********* is probably the worst person I have dealt with throughout this entire process (and I would rather deal with my ex on a daily basis then deal with this employee of the firm). She lacks client respect and will ensure that seems she cannot get emails straight or bill correctly. Through arguing with her today about billing she says "your account is up to date after the payments that were made" but the invoice I received doesn't match the drafted amounts?! So which one is it? I ask to speak to a supervisor of accounting or someone else and was told she refused to give me that information. *** wouldn't that be nice to do in any other job? Refuse to provide your supervisors information because clearly her and I were not on the same page as the invoice and the drafted amounts do not match... so I wanted clarification. Overall at this point I am hoping this drawn out custody drama is over soon. Thankfully my ex and I seem to be on the same wave length finally and will be figuring out the best way to handle this case. ******** courts are ridiculous to begin with, but when you are exhausting all of your options to pay for a law firm in hopes that it will help you reach you
