    the past year I lived with 3 other women in a NOMAD rental. Last fall one of the women decided to abruptly move out with very little warning. Per our signed lease, this individual should have been responsible for that months rent + the forfeit of her deposit. NOMAD decided to absolve her of the responsibility of that months full rent (which is totally fine and not illegal) but forced me and the 2 other women I live with to pay her portion of the deposit. WHICH IS ILLEGAL. NOMAD would not move forward with breaking this gals lease until we paid said roommate her $950 portion of the deposit out of our own pockets. This quickly became a volatile situation because of NOMAD's behavior. We tried to reason with NOMAD and explain the situation and get them to just release her and let us deal with the deposit but they insisted on being the middle man on it and made things worse. We did not feel protected by our lease and felt there was no reason in even signing it. Not to mention the fact that we have had multiple maintenance requests just completely deleted. There is no phone number you can call and immediately talk with a real person. I had to lie in my voicemails and tell them I either had an emergency or that I was interested in renting a new property to even get a call back. We didn't have a specific account rep but had to talk to no less than 5 different people about our one account over the last year. Our landlord ended up firing NOMAD and privately leasing because NOMAD was more harmful than helpful. Stay far away from NOMAD. They are vastly unprofessional and unhelpful.

We take feedback like this very seriously and work closely with our property owner partners to ensure they are providing a consistent & reliable experience to their residents. While we cannot impact the behavior of the owners on our platform directly, we do help them by providing maintenance support, giving them access the Nomad Home Standards and a variety of other services. Your property owner's contact information is available in your resident portal at all times -- hopefully you were able to get in touch with them directly as needed. Again, we are so sorry to hear about your experience with this property owner who uses the Nomad platform and that they have been unable to meet your maintenance needs. While we do our best to support the tenants who use Nomad, we are just the software that the property owner uses.

    In regards to your roommate, we do not get in the middle of roommate disputes. Every resident who signs a lease with Nomad as a group are jointly and severally liable for that lease. This is standard for any residential lease. While we're sorry to hear that you were unable to reach a resolution with your former roommate, it is ultimately Nomad's responsibility to ensure the residents on our platform abide by the terms of their lease.

    I am active duty military. I was put on last minute orders to move from ** to AZ. as you can imagine this is quite stressful so I decided to rent and look for a house with a reputable business. this ended up becoming a nightmare. the house I got required serious work (although I was promised everything was perfectly fine) I have put in over 14 work orders. I pay over 3k a month in rent so I was disappointed upon move in that the water heater exploded. I was much more disappointed when it took 3 weeks for it to be fixed. I had to purchase a gym membership in order to shower my children. on top of that the maser bedroom didn't have blinds so I had to change in a closet. this was a month ago that I reported this and tonight the owner mailed me 10 sets of blinds so I can instal them. please tell me if you would pay 3k for a house and do your own maintenance. on top of the the house is growing mold and it was reported the the owner but the mold is still there. worst off all when I kept reporting these issues the owner of the home sent his brother to my door so he can personally fix everything. now this would be fine with prior notice or maybe if he was skilled in this craft but no. he "band aids" the issue and leaves while telling me not to call nomad because they charge him. I am so tired of this. I asked nomad to address this and here I sit. I had to set up an appointment with attorney in order to fix these issues.
