      Same thing continuing to happen in March 2023, in Louisville, CO. I also fell for the supporting active military troops and upon doing a search after he left, found a bunch of this information. He had the same card as mentioned, talking about troops deployed and sending gift boxes to them. My fault for not paying more attention but it was the middle of a workday with dogs barking and work calls unattended. Bummed that he's still out getting money - I'm trying to get mine back from ****** now.

      A man representing himself as a retired veteran, asked for a donation to help new soldiers being deployed from the area with new packages for support. After obtaining a check for $25.00, he gave me a receipt naming the organization. When I goggled the name of the organization, I learned it was not listed as a tax 501k organization and it was not listed as being an approved Better Business Bureau company either. The receipt he gave me says I could send back the receipt to get my money back if it was postage dated within 3 days. But further online research shows that that is also a scam,
