The local energy company severed our internet line (because WOW doesn't ensure it's buried deep enough) and the lazy technician simply spliced it and moved on. Some also lazy contractor came out and barely buried the spliced line. Lo and behold, the power company came back out and severed the line again while repairing the ground from their work.
WOW refuses to acknowledge their fault, and refuses to come out same day and fix it, instead scheduling a 14 hour technician window to come and "fix it" (they will likely try splicing it again despite the fact it's severed in 3 places).
      Avoid them at all costs.

Price hike!! Initial cost for service was $54.99. Now it is $69.49! How does a company like this get away with increasing prices like this!?

Signed up because they were the only internet provider in our area. Was charged $60+/month for internet that never worked. Was not a speed issue - it just didn't work. Imagine flipping a light switch and no light turns on. That is what this internet was like. I would boot up the computer and try to connect, and would receive an error message telling me that there was no connection available. I made about ten phone calls and had three technicians come out to the house in about a 10 month time frame before finally cancelling my service. I was told to return my hardware to the local office. Local office was closed, so I deposited the hardware in the after-hours drop box outside the door on 4/19/2025. In June, I was contacted and informed that WOW! was going to deduct $455 from my bank card due to my refusal to return the hardware. I had returned it though. I called and explained I returned it. The account manager said not to worry, I would not be charged. I was charged anyways. Now I am fighting to get my $455 back!DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! IT IS A SCAM!!!

Worst experience I've ever had with a company. Cancelled after months of hit or miss ***************** Sent my equipment back, kept the shipping receipt. Next month got a bill for not returning the equipment. Called and got it straightened out. Next month... Same bill comes in. I call and get it straightened out. Third month, same bill, this time I call threatening legal action for harassment. Get it worked out, no more bills... Then 2 months later got a notice that my account was placed in collections. I have the shipping receipt with tracking number that confirms they received it and now I have a collections account. I disputed and filed a complaint and I would die before I gave them another dime.

On May 28th, 2025, I noticed my internet was not working. Through some troubleshooting, I discovered my account had been cancelled. I called to find out that the card I was using for auto pay was one that had been csncelled due to fraudulent activiry a month prior. I received a text message on may 14th saying my paymsnt for that month was about to be processed, but no other emails, texts, etc to explain that it had been declined.I spoke to customer service and she told me I did not receive notification because my account had been canceled due to nonpayment. This creates a paradox where they essentially cancelled my account (after only 1 month of non payment) and because it was cancelled, my email no longer existed in their system to notify me that this was occuring.I selected 2 stars instead of 1 because they did remove the late charges. However this is a very poor practice that should be looked into on their end.

First of my complaints would be the issues with their website. When a payment is made during an online visit, the site does not update that a payment was received. Next is autopay does not always work, and the bank or the payment method was not applied. When this happens, WOW will charge the customer a fee. If there is a discount linked to the account, the discount is removed and the normal rate is applied. Last is the discounts available to new customers are not provided to existing customers. Discounts that are advertised at a lower rate should be available to existing customers. Without making the lower rates available personally feels as if existing customers are not valued. Thank you

Now I can't even get ********** on one of my TV sets and WOW won't help me!!!!! They said I need to contact ******* TV directly. Why am I paying for this lousy service! Don't do business with WOW! They offer services they don't even support! I highly do NOT recommend them!

Avoid WOW Internet Deceptive Auto-Renewal Scam!I would strongly advise everyone to stay away from WOW Internet due to their misleading and unethical contract practices.I originally signed up for a 2-year contract. After the first year, I tried to cancel, only to be told Id have to pay early termination feesso I patiently waited until the 2-year contract ended. But when I asked to disconnect after fulfilling the full term, WOW suddenly claimed my contract had auto-renewed without my consent, and now they were charging me another outrageous early termination fee of $****** no point did they notify me before the renewal date or give me a reminder. Only after I asked to cancel did they point out some tiny fine print buried deep in the contract about auto-renewal. This is a predatory practice, designed to trap customers and squeeze more money out of them. They rely on the fact that most people wont notice hidden clauses and dont proactively remind customers when the initial contract is about to endbecause it benefits them to lock you in without you even knowing. This is not just bad businessits borderline fraud.WOW Internet, your practices are disgraceful, and Ill be making sure everyone I know is aware. Shame on you.

I was evicted from my home on 1/29/25. I had WOW for about a year and even though I talked to a customer service agent to CANCEL my service TWICE (first in Jan when I was moving) then again in March because they were CONTINUING to bill me for an address that I had no access to and cancelled the service! Well here it is APRIL now and they are STILL trying to BILL me for the internet I cancelled and MOVED from in JANUARY! This time when I called they are now claiming they didnt receive the modem and that they never cancelled my service because my call was dropped during my March call. This is completely ridiculous and just a scam. I only owe them $78 but since they have been fraudulently billing me still, they say I owe over $250! I have court documents proving I didnt live there and it doesnt matter to them. I am not going to spend one more minute attempting to speak with a foreign customer service agent who I cant understand and doesnt understand what I say obviously! If I receive another bill for anything MORE than that $78 i do owe, I will be contacting the news, attorney general, every single person and place that I can to expose this company for the scam it is! Be sure to RECORD your phone call when you do cancel your service with them and video record your return of equipment because they have been doing this to many people.

If I could give a zero star review I would! From the start we have had nothing but issues with our internet cutting out or us having WAY less speed than we pay for. When contacting the company the say they either dont see an issue or the issue is with our housing and there is nothing they can do about that. Outside of that I was given false information about my billing which caused us to have a late fee which I addressed as soon as I became aware of said issue was not even issued an apology for it and was then informed that the promotional gift card I was signed up to get was now null and void and I would not be getting it due to my late fee. They are the absolute worst internet company I have ever had to deal with in terms of service and customer service. If it wasnt for the fact that we live on a military installation and they are the only internet company available I would have dropped them long ago.
