Covid 2021 Choctaw Nation put a "Pledge" or "credit" on my *************** bill per covid program to help native ******** families. Months later we moved. New home wasn't ready yet, but house we were living in was selling. We moved in with family for few months tell new house was ready. we still had a credit balance of $****** left on our account with CenterPoint from the Choctaw program, however they would not allow us to keep the account open until we moved to new location. Only option was close the current account then reopen the account when we moved in. After several weeks I contacted about the refund of my deposit, this is when they tell me it was being held because of the credit remaining on my account from the Choctaw Nation. For weeks we go back and forth and finally they get approval from The Choctaw Nation to issue the credit TO ME. I personally spoke with the lady in charge of the program at Choctaw nation and she also assured me she talked with CenterPoint and gave the OK to release the funds to me. A week later I received a reimbursement check from CenterPoint for our deposit plus the $****** credit we had. A couple months later our home is ready, we move in and open our Gas Account which now is SUMMIT UTILITY. My first bill is incredibly high, so I call to inquire about why. They tell me that the added the $****** because I OWED THAT BACK TO THEM! I DO NOT OWE SUMMIT UTILITYS A DIME! IF IN FACT I DID OWE ANYONE IT WOULD BE CHOCTAW NATION.... Choctaw nation gave the OK to issue funds to me, or I WOULD HAVE NEVER received it 100% FACTS! Bottom line I did not use $185 worth of services and SURLY AM NOT RESPONSIBLE for ANY error they made have made on their end IF IN FACT this isn't something they typically do. It took WEEKS to get it all done and it was cleared through all parties involved as well as NOTATED as I made multiple calls to them. Since OCT 2022 this ****** is still on my bill. I've called multiple times they just keep putting me off.Initial Complaint

I know for a fact that Summit utilities have not been checking my gas bill because it has went from thirty dollars to fifty dollars to a hundred dollars now its three hundred dollars and I know for a fact that I do not use my gas because I am a woman going through menopause and I cannot have the heat on because I get sick and now theyre saying that I owe $300 when I can prove to you that no one is read my gas bill ********* needs to be done about this before they come after me for collections. I do not owe this bill and I will not be held accountable for something that was not read. Theyre trying to say that it was due to the fact that the cold weather hate to tell you this it wasnt that cold here in ******** so I call for ****, so you need to get it together. Adjust my bill fix it. Tell me the last time you read my major and give me the numbers I do not believe you someone needs to contact me because Im not paying the $300 gas bill when I know for a fact we hadnt even been home ha how can it be $300Initial Complaint

Summit Utilities sent out a notice giving customers notice of their bill to customers, mine showing amount owed $61.75, on January 19th at 12.28pm.Then on January 28th, at *****pm they sent out another bill stating also that their computers messed up with the a New bill of $82.91 , a difference of $21.16, I called the first time 2/7/2023 at 2:03pm ended up being hung up on. Today I called at 11:39am talked with a lady, she talked to her supervisor about it and the Supervisor stated the Bill Won't be adjusted because the second amount is the correct amount REGARDLESS that their computers messed up.I will have to send in the Separate letters after I get the file number since I'm on my phone.Initial Complaint

I called and reported a gas leak on 12/21/22, the dirt had washed away exposing long buried pvc gas line, and the neighbors horse busted the line. The line was repaired and tested. My gas line is PVC and has been since the 50s, the meter is 1/4 mile from my house across 2 different peoples propertys. Was notified that PVC is not able to be used and would have to be replaced. Due to having to get permission where the gas company already has access, I asked the gas company if they could move the meter closer to my house and onto my property. Was given the run around for over 10 days until 01/09/23 when I was told that they wouldnt move the meter onto my property until I replaced the 1/4 mile of pipe and brought it up to code.Initial Complaint

Summit bought out Center-Point and my bills went from $25 to over $200 dollars, which is just outrageous. I only have a gas stove in my house, everything else is electricInitial Complaint

Summit Utilities will not let me add myself to the account. The account is in my wife's maiden *************************. I setup the account online and use my email address to login and access the account. Summit Utilities say since my wife is the account holder she has to be the one that adds me to the account. Summit will not tell me how to add me to the account. Its not making sense.Initial Complaint

This company is a mess.The screwd up the billing from the old company and then tried to Re-Charge us what the old company charged all over again.I only have a gas water heater everything else is electric and they sent me a bill for $271.00 because that is ridicules to go from $35 $50 then $271 I called I asked that they come back out because something was wrong???? I told them I had a doctor *********** the next day please come after 1pm so I could be home! But they came in the morning and left a tag on the door.Nobody ever came back or ever called.Nobody answers their phone.And NOW they say my $271 bill is past due!!!!How is someone suppose to deal with that?Well Im going to get a elect water heater.And not have any gas at all.And I am not paying this bill!They dont even have the courtesy to respond to the problem.I want it reported to BBB and a manager from the business to call me.These tactics are not how you do business.Initial Complaint

The company Im with has 13 active rehabs and when they made the switch from center point canceled our account and loss our information. Now they say someone has to be at property for it to be turned on but wont tell me in advance when or what house will be first I guess Im just supposed to sit at 13 different houses at the same time from ****. Dont bother calling, anyone you get on the phone has a preset response and cant think out of the box to help use get this fixed. Now with freezing temps Ive had to winterize all the houses and stop construction. This has cost us 10s of ****s. Have 5 new construction builds planned in *********** this year. Im red lining all gas utilities. I couldnt fathom treating my customers this way.Initial Complaint

Summit utilities will not answer calls in a timely manner or respond to ******** messages! My bill jumped from $34 to $72 for absolutely no reason!! I haven't even turned on my heat for the winter season yet! I waited on the phone for almost three hours to speak with someone with customer service and no one ever answered the phone! I tried setting up an account on their website and they said my account details were incorrect. I know I have the correct account number and last four digits of the SS number!!!
