On 9/21/24, I bought a used 2010 Subaru Forester from Autonation Subaru Arapahoe. I paid $11,775 for this car. About 2 days after driving it, the check engine light came on. I took it to a mechanic who ran the code and told me that they sold me a car that cannot pass emissions, and that is illegal. They told me to take it back and demand that Autonation fixes the problem. I brought the car back and they took it to their service shop and cleared the check engine light, telling me that it was completely fine. It came on again 2 days later and by that point I could no longer return the car. A few weeks ago I took my car to an autocare shop and they did a comprehensive check of my entire car, finding over $22,000 worth of damages on it that have been there since well before I bought the car (including every catalytic converter needing replacement, major rust issues, etc.) They told me these issues were present for long before I ever bought the car, it's mechanically totaled, and they sold me a totaled car likely knowing that as a first time car buyer and young woman, I wouldn't know what to look out for. I am open to mediation or arbitration, but if I do not receive any sort of compensation for this (as I am still paying off a loan for the car), I have no choice but to pursue legal action.

So much went wrong. First off, the salesman ****** was awesome. That is where the compliments end. 1. Recall on vehicle for lug nuts immediately after purchasing 2. Heater door valve broken and needing replacing and the part was not available because it was a 2025.3. Overcharged on taxes by over $1,500 on purchase and have still yet to be reimbursed properly almost 4 months after purchasing vehicle!!!4. When I have complained about not receiving the money back yet I am issued a snarky response like it was my mistake that I didnt realize that I was overcharged! I am sending in this complaint to get my money back that is owed to me after almost 4 months from purchase. If you purchase from **** location you better get someone to look at the paperwork. I can only assume that this happens all of the time and is never caught and people are overpaying and being stolen from by Subaru. 5. My last email requesting the reimbursement has gone completely unanswered after 2 weeks of sending, prior to my last email it took over a week for a response. 6. When I did bring in my car to have heater fixed and recall addressed (on a 2025 model) they told me they would have it done same day or at least over the weekend and they had my vehicle for over a month. 7. When I requested a courtesy vehicle so I could have my car fixed they told me they were all in recalls and not available. I had to go to upper Management for approval.8. I requested to ****** the purchase and go get my car back but they had already shipped it off to auction so I was stuck. 9. The sales process was fine, but the financial side was such an inconvenience and was trying to upsell everything even when I said do not offer I do not want any of it. Every step of the way it was sales pitch after pitch while doing the paperwork,It was rather gross and desperate sounding despite me saying dont try to sell me on anything. 10. I have been asked no less than 12 times to not write a review by their staff!!!!

On December 14, 2024 I bought a 2018 Volkswagon GTI from Autonation Suburu. We were told to wait to get a card from the *** and then register it. I asked about getting emissions done and they said we didn't need to because they had it done and it passed. They also showed us a multipoint inspection report that showed nothing wrong with the car. I never received the card from the *** so on February 11, 2025 I went down there and was told it needed an emissions test. I went that same day to have one done. It didn't pass and I was told the *** port had been tampered with so that no warning lights would be visible. I went back to the dealership to ask why they claimed the car passed emissions when it obviously couldn't have. They couldn't answer that. They kept the car and told us they would fix it. It has been over a week and the car is still not ready. The last 4 days I have been told the *** port has been replaced and it would be taken for emissions that day. The salesman, ***** *****, keeps telling me that no one is available in the service department to give him an update. I am at a loss. I would have returned this car immediately had I known it wasn't going to pass emissions. I was lied to and feel this car was sold to me using deceptive tactics.

I financed this 2012 Range Rover from Auto Nation on July 19th for $15,550, including the protection plans I added. I understand I bought an old used Range Rover, but two months after purchasing it, my water pump goes out. Not only did I have to tow my car to the mechanic, I had to pay $1,000 to get my water pump fixed. A month later I get my car back and they had done a full inspection on the car stating the thermostat didnt work, the parking break was broken, all four rotors are rusted, both struts and shocks are blown, and a CV Axle is leaking. I know I shouldve done my own inspection before buying the car but auto nation advertises that they do this 50 point inspection when all this stuff is wrong with my car? Come to find out, I was trying to resell my car to Auto Nation and they offered me $2,000 because there had been a report where the airbags deployed, so therefore they couldnt resell the car, hence the low offer. So how did they sell me the car in the first place? This also wasnt shown on the CarFax. It seems like fraud and misrepresentation because I put my trust into their advertised inspection report. Reselling a vehicle where the airbags have deployed significantly reduces the value, and is unethical if not disclosed to a new buyer. There are safety concerns with buying a car where the airbags have deployed. I have spent so much money on this car; window tint was $500, water pump replaced was $1000, rental car was $137, a tow was $110, the car registration was $500, having the extended warranty for 4 months was $600, and interest monthly on top of the car payment is around $2,000. This is close to $5,000 that Ive spent (wasted) on this vehicle due to the negligence of the employees at ***********. I want Auto Nation to take this car back from me and pay off my loan and also reimburse me for all the money that I have spent on this vehicle. If this cant be done, I will be taking further legal action for this fraud and misrepresentation

My partner purchased a vehicle from Autonation, for me to drive. Within a month, it was in the repair shop- windows locked in the down position. I replaced the part and returned to the dealership to have the car programmed. After being ghosted by 2 employees over a 2 week span, my partner returned to the dealership for answers. He was asked to leave "for filing a complaint with the dealer board"- we were sold an ESP we declined. After being physically threatened by the finance manager, ***** *****, my partner left, completely confused, and without the car. I went to the dealership and was also refused service or trade, based on someone else's behavior. I find this outrageously odd, considering the reputation of Autonation. Nonetheless, I was refused any solution and repairs to my vehicle. Having a sales license myself, and a full understanding of the law, this falls under consumer retaliation, which is protected after filing a complaint. I now have a car that I cannot use, cannot sell- the title is lost in translation awaiting the cancelation- and am throwing away money to pay for this car every day it sits. I've never in my life been treated with such disrespect, especially from "professionals".

I purchased a 2018 ***** traverse on July 8. I put down $14,000 on this vehicle. Almost immediately after receiving the car I started to have trouble with it. The tires were continually losing air and I was filling it up every other day, if not twice a day. My oil light kept coming on and after taking it back to the dealership more than once, I was told that there was never an oil change done. Which does not make sense to me because they did a 21 point inspection. I end up having to replace the tires on the truck For about $750. I was told by the technician that the front two tires were very dangerous And I quote I dont know why they sold this to you I was also informed that the **** sensors were out and needed to be replaced. I also did not receive my registration information on time because the paperwork was not filled out completely, and therefore was returned from the *** back to Subaru. I was never contacted about this because the temporary tags expired. I had to make a trip again to the dealership and receive a new temp tag, I found out that they had the wrong address for me which once again I was never contacted about. I ended up having to get rid of the car and all Im asking for if anything is at least the money back from the tires that I bought. I am very unhappy with this dealership and , their communication skills. I dont think its right that the only way I found this information out is because I specifically asked for it because nobody contacted me to verify anything or provide any updates.

In February of 2021 I purchased a brand new car from autonation. After having my car for a few months I started having intermittent problems with it. The first issue was my window not rolling up or down when it rain/snowed. Took it in and they kept my car for 6 weeks stating they couldnt get my car to duplicate the problem. I asked if they could pour water on it and the service director ******************************* called me back and said my car would be ready the next day after he poured water on it. That issue was resolved and then I started having electrical issues which happen intermittently. I have provided videos to which they told me my electrical problems are because I wear eyeglasses. I have begged and pleaded with this company to fix my car and they keep it for weeks upon weeks just to give it back stating nothing is wrong with it. I took several videos showing them the problems like they asked. My car was just there on July 19 2024 and they kept it 2 weeks saying my eyeglasses were the cause of the electrical issues. I still have those messages.

On 4/20/2024 me and my husband bought out the lease on my car. We did an early buy out but was told that my last two lease payments would be covered with my new loan amount/down payment. The lease initially was to end in June 2024. I financed my car with a new loan for roughly $25,500 with ******************** The new payment was set to be due on June 1, 2024. I made my first payment only to find out that Subaru did not close out my lease with ********** until 6/10/2024 therefore allowing two lease payments of $278.59 to be taken out of our bank account in May and June. Starting 4/20/2024 our car was purchased and we should not have had money taken out past that date. When ***** was contacted they said that because Subaru didnt close out the lease until 6/10/2024 they had to take the payments. Chase bank is maintaining that Subaru owes us money for the extra payments not them. Both me and my husband have contacted representatives from Subaru numerous times including our sales rep, the finance manager, and the ** with no one able to give us answers or communicate with us effectively. We have given them a lot of our time and patience to try and get things sorted out and they continue to give us the run around.

Leased a car back in October. I was told I could upgrade after making 6 months of payments without penalty. I went in to upgrade and they said I would be charged $10,000 in negative equity. $10,000 penalty is more than the $0 they promised. If I would have known this I would never have leased a car from Autonation. I was lied to about the process and would like to return the lease without penalty and go to a more reliable and reputable dealership.
