On April 22, 2025, I called All American Heating about a boiler system running all the time. They sent a technician who could not determine the problem so he called his supervisor. Together, they decided the problem was a bad control board. They said the replacement board would cost $1,277.78 and should arrive in 3 to 5 days. In turn, I was asked to pay half on deposit before they could order the part. I paid them $650 on my credit card in addition to $290 for the service call.On May 1, 2025, having heard nothing from them, I contacted them to try and get a status update. I was told by their Office Manager, ******* ******, that the part had not arrived, but that they would contact me as soon as they had it.After several calls to All American seeking status, I was told each time that the part was still on order. On May 8, 2025 i sent an email to support at the manufacturer, *************, to find out where the part might be available. ************* informed that the part was no longer available, but that a recall had been issued for my equipment and that a repair kit would be available for my unit with no charge for parts or labor. On May 9th, I called All American to ask why they were trying to charge me $1,277.72 for a part and installation that was covered by a manufacturer's recall issued in February. They wanted to know how I found out about the recall and that they would check on it. The following morning, May 10th, All American called to inform me that they would be out that day to install the recall kit. Technician came that morning and spent about an hour installing the kit and upon completion, told me I owed them $1,277.72 for the completed work. I told him it was a factory recall and that they owed me the $650 deposit I had made for the work. He said the office would take care of it.I have been trying since May 10th to get my $650 back. I've gotten excuse after excuse since that time and have still not received my refund.
