I've been going to r&L for the past 4 years. I took my 2006 ****** sienna in June to have the CV axles and front driver side bearing repair. There is always a noise from the bearing from the get-go especially when turning. I had ****** drive with me to hear it at the end of August and finally got them to look at it in september. He said that it was the passenger side bearing and I paid him another $500. The repair in June total over *****. Immediately there is noise from the bearing going bad. I also experienced a 430 code immediately after picking up my vehicle in june. ****** text me he thought they might not have put everything back together correctly. They also drop my exhaust in front of me off the lift onto the ground when breaking bolts. I had my vehicle in there 3 weeks later to put in a new bearing and to fix the 430 code in my exhaust. When I pick my car up 4 days later my tires were seriously out of alignment in the front. I needed to take it immediately to get an alignment. It took me 3 weeks to get my money back for the alignment. My bearing was still bad. I worked out a deal with *** to buy the bearing myself because he kept blowing me off saying he couldn't do it. He finally agreed to do it he put the bearing in and the next day it was bad. I went to **** and paid $485 and now my bearing is perfect. I never heard any noise from my passenger side bearing ever. I believe they charged me twice for the same bearing that I had to go pay **** to fix properly. The last time they worked on my car and replaced the bearing they also covered my exhaust in ** **** exhaust sealer. It's very obvious and it's not going to pass inspection. The 430 code also still persists. I was quoted $800 for new exhaust and I paid R and L $500 twice for the same bearing! Then $485 to get it done right at ****. They stole everything out of my vehicle the last time they had it, all my money, change, tools, flashlight, spotlight, air compressor, ratchets, boombox, diagnost tool.

My car was brought to R&L automotive back on October 13th due to a transmission leak. We were told at that point that my car would be ready in 3-5 days. Since then, we have had no communication, having to call upwards of ten times to get them to speak with us and they have always come up with a random issue or reason my car isn’t ready. We’re coming up on a month now and I still am without my car and with no communication on what’s happening. Any time we speak with them they just say hopefully it’ll be ready the next day and it never is ready.

Our 2012 **** Edge needed a water pump replaced. We took the car to R & L Automotive and got an estimate of $2500.00. This was for repacing the water pump plus a timing chain since they said they would have to replace it also. Ray asked us for $1500.00 up front for parts. We paid him The $1500.00 on August 5,2022. They had the car for 1 week and replaced the waterpump and timimg chain. The check engine light was on when they test drove it to make sure it was good. They then told us that the problem was several different sensors, wiring and the computer. Since then they have had the car 3 different time for a week each time where they did nothing. We have gone around and around with the company wanting for our car to be fixed with them coming up with every excuse in the book. They have replaced every sensor, a new computer and still did not fix the problem. Both Ray nd Joe(his son) have told us that they need to take it apart and redo the timing chain or find out what the problem is. This has been our nightmare since July 2022 till the present. The plates on the car are due in March and needs an emission done which will not pass with the check engine light on. Now they will not take our phone calls and will not speak to us when we go to the business. After speaking to The **** Dealer Ship and a mechanic where my wife works, we hae been told that it is the timing chain not being set at the correct timing. At this time we don't feel comfortable having them fix the car, as being afraid that they will not correct the problem. We will probably need to take it to another reputable company to be fixed. The estimate we have gotten is somewhere in the price range of $3500 to $4000 dollars. We want a refund of our $1500 and they pay half of the repairs. Also other clients need to know just how this company works.
