5 stars***** was very knowledgeable and did an excellent complete inspection of our HVAC and Mini Splits. Photos were taken and written reports with Estimates of items needed to be done which could be done by homeowner if opted to. This was Allen Services $27 initial inspection. Was not disappointed. Had Allen Services for 17 yrs with our home in ******************* and when moved they did not come to our new address. Accidentally found the Service Van in our neighborhood and did not hesitate to leave our current HVAC (was not satisfied with) and return to their service after 7+ yrs. I had my water heater replaced on Feb 4th, **** by ****************** and have never felt more taken advantage of in my life. In a vulnerable state, my water heater began to flood my basement and contacted Allen Service for a repair. I was given an estimate over the phone for $1980.00 ($249.00 for emergency services and $******* for labor)The water heater was under warranty and they were able to come out 2 days later to install the new water heater. During that time, I had done some research on pricing as my quote was far beyond what I had imagined for labor costs and contacted multiple companies, but by then it was too late as they had taken a $1000.00 deposit and had removed my warranty sticker.Upon arrival, I asked about the price as he never gave me a clear explanation and the only answer I received was ******* is cheap compared to installation on a tankless heater. He said there was nothing he could do about the price, even though there were several coupons on the website for $250.00 off (to which I never received).Before installation, I contacted ****** about receiving an itemized bill to get a better understanding for why the labor costs were so high. After installation and 5 days of reaching out daily for an itemized bill and a request for the coupon, my request was turned over to a manager and all communications have seized from the Allen Service Company.Time of arrival 9:50am Time of departure 12:15pm ************** hose- $34.83 Average cost of disposal for a 50 gallon water heater- $35-$160 New water heater- free and covered under warranty Emergency service-$249.00 Thus leaving cost of labor for 2.5 hours- $1536.17 $614.46 DOLLARS AN HOUR to transport an empty water heater up and down basement stairs and connect the hot water, cold water, gas line and plug in unit to outlet! With the lack of communication, not providing my billing statement and hearing quotes from several other companies and individuals, I cant help but to feel taken advantage of.

5 stars************************* inspected my furnace and before finishing, he showed me how it worked and how clean and functional it still was after 6 years. I was pleased because I have had electric heating in previous houses and was not familiar with gas furnaces. **** was professional, clear, and an excellent teacher. 5 starsIt was a Very Good Review of how the Boiler System is "Currently" working !I would like to have a follow up phone call from ****: can the difference in PSI, be Increased by one or two PSI, between: "Standby" and "Running" of the Circulation pump ??If The answer is yes, this would increase the efficiency of the Circulating Pump, and the Boiler, a great deal, THUS, reducing the Operating cost of the system !If this is, doable what is the estimated cost?Review fromElizabeth R
