      Since moving in this has been nothing but a headache, and the office staff shows 0 empathy. When moving in we were under told we were signing a lease for a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom unit. Upon getting the keys we were left with a 2 bedroom 1 bathroom unit, with a closet where the bathroom should be. The closet has a bathroom fan and we were told that was what we get. Additionally there was broken glass in our carpet from a broken chandelier, an empty liquor bottle left on the deck, and the fridge smelled like something was left rotting in it prior to moving in. Admittedly they got us a new fridge before the end of the day, but if we had any other option for a place to live at that point we would have taken it. Here we have had issues with our water regularly, if it's on hot you have to turn on cold water or the temperature reaches 145 degrees, burning you. The water will randomly be shut off and we will receive an email about it hours later. There is consistently construction being done to the vacant unit below with no warning. As both renters in the unit work from home this is very problematic. We were also required to vacate our space for two weeks at the start of 2022 so they could rebuild the deck leading to our apartment entrance. We were not provided with a space to relocate. They said we could move to a new unit, we would take over the lease of that apartment (an extra 200-300$ a month) or use renters insurance to get a hotel room. We were unable to go through renters insurance as the rental company never provided the paperwork stating the construction was ordered by the city. What has sparked this complaint today is a water pipe bursting around noon. We were not informed we did not have water until 3pm. At 5pm we were informed we would be without water until morning. When asked what we do to use the bathroom we were told to go to the gas station nearby, or fill the tank with bottled water. They informed me they would not reimburse us for the water. Stay away.

      3 weeks ago our a/c broke over the weekend a maintenance person who is not certified in hvac,plumbing, or electrical brought a a/c unit that required our patio door to be open and duct taped with plywood to bring in air, we live on the 2nd floor and it was 106 real feel that weekend. I demanded Monday that they have someone who is certified come out, they caught and attitude with me and said I could leave and opened the door to ****** me out, even though my voice was calm for someone with heat exhaustion, they lied and said he is working in it right now, you can clearly see my a/c unit from the leasing office and no one was at my door or unit, 5 mins later here comes the maintenance with a workorder in hand. He advised that the unit had been punctured and patched so many times that we needed a new unit, which was completed. I requested every work order my family has put in for the last year 3 weeks ago and continue to get told over and over again it's being worked. I have had over 5 workorders sitting for 3 weeks that have not been completed, 3weeks before this I had put in multple work orders and they canceled all of them. The front office staff are disgusting excuses for employees and faces of this compex and corporation, zero tenant respect but monarch investments expects the tenants show them respect when they don't do their job. I have watched Brookwood Apartments outsource a company to fix the sprinkler system at the property in the last 3 weeks but can't get any maintenance over to fix our work orders. I've been in contact with monarch investments as well and still nothing has been done about my work orders nor their employees attitudes toward tenure tenants. This is our final year here and I will make it my mission to make people aware of how deplorable this apartment complex staff and the corporation that owns them handle their tenants.

      Work orders were received on 8/14, with the A/C being a priority. The A/C condenser and A coil were replaced. Work orders are completed in the order they are received and by priority. Maintenance tried on two different occasions to complete work orders, but were denied entry because the resident had *****. As of 9/16, all work orders have been completed.

      You can lie all you want to but I just got covid on Monday 9/12/22 which i have documentation showing, he showed up same day asking to come in, we advised no due to health concerns for the maintenance. No one has showed up before 9/12/22. Im also still positive with covid so I won't allow maintenance into the home. That does not mean for one moment that any work orders have been completed but the a/c. So how about you stop lying to BBB and your tenants and the world for that matter. Poor business professionals all around. Still waiting for that call from corporate as well do I need to show phone records that you do t call either.

      For 4 years I had mice come in from my closet and the space behind my dishwasher that hasnt worked after countless maintenance requests. By the way it still doesnt work, in march the last business man that saw it said it cant be fixed. The only way to resolve it is to get a water vacuum, or dont use it. So I didnt use it, the rental office is SOO UNPROFESSIONAL. I tried to call them to tell them I wanted to renew my lease, but since I got no response from them, I decided to look somewhere else. When I found somewhere else, I was told from the apartment complex I was approved for that the office here said I had to put in my notice first. After calling and not getting a response back, I go up to the office to see why Im not getting a reply back, turns out they deliberately were not calling back, and I had to hear from one of the managers who said in a condescending tone You need to put you notice to vacate in first whatever, did that and a week later I had gotten emails from the other complex that they havent sent my history. I called countless times on a Thursday afternoon, asking them why has it been a week and my history hasnt been sent yet, ***** gets smart and rude to me saying We sent it 2 days ago! How many times do you want us to send it?! Then, while ** telling her the apartment complex emailed me saying they havent gotten it yet, when I asked her to resend it , she gets talks over me, getting louder, saying I already did! I then said I need something saying you did, she then talks over me again saying Im busy with people so I cant right now, you need to stop calling because Im busy! So yes after that they finally sent my rental history, and COd me in the email, which should have happened in the first place. I cant wait to leave so I will NEVER be here again. Dont waste your money on that place.

      Where to start, since moving in to an apartment off of ********. My Significant other and I have had numerous problems and still continue to have problems. We moved in start of fall 2021. ** worked great, come winter we had no heat. Took them a couple days to fix. Okay no big deal. Then spring/ summer. No **. See where Im going with this. A couple days roll by and they fixed it. It was in fact not fixed and didnt work yes the ** unit was on. But there was no air coming out. Mean while a heat wave is coming and we have a dog. Our apartment temp was around ***** during the day and hopefully 80 at night. A week goes by (I had to by a couple expensive fans so we could sleep at night). And they come again, the replace the vent covers? Not sure why replacing cover would help air come out. They leave and of course nothing is fixed and they had to have the ** while they fixed it so now the apartment is very hot again after it took the whole week to cool it down. I call the front desk to ask what they are doing to help my situation. The lady on the phone neglected my concerns and simply told me its hard to keep the place cool with a heat advisory. Yes I understand but thats not my issue, my issue is no air is coming out of the vent period. Another week and they come and they make it work a little better just so we can keep our temp around 75 at all times. 1st month of semi cooled conditions and our electric **** is $300+. I called and asked them to fix still please literally begging and being as nice as possible. Another month goes by until they replace the **. Everything went fine until the end the ** guy said he set up everything 99% and it was getting to late and the Districts apartments maintenance guy would come the following morning. Now the only issue he has to fix was connecting the ** to the wall unit so we can turn the ** on/off. Its been almost a months 4 phone calls of false promises and they still havent come to fix and our ** is running 24/7. No go.

      Ive been living here since high school (7years ago) and decided to stay in the area when I moved out of family home. Ive always loved it here, moving into my own apartment has been great. But Ive called the office to fix my air conditioning and in the winter my heating is also not working. Theyve been here at least 3-4 times this summer to fix my cooling system. Ive been without air conditioning for 3 days now and its ***** degrees. Ive been in an apartment that shows 85 degrees in my apartment when I have it set to 70 degrees. Unfortunately they cant come out until Monday when I called Friday and also called the emergency line on Saturday because its 80+ degrees. I would like the issue fixed and not just a bandage. I dont understand whats the problem, Ive renewed my lease here because I love where I stay. Please help!

      Our service tech was by there yesterday and said all was good, but service manager is going by today after lunch to confirm and will back to you then. There was a call to our on-call service line but there was not a message with any details of who it was/issues/ect and the call was registered as spam. We do ask all residents to leave a detailed message if it is an emergency and we are unable to answer at time call comes in, but someone will respond asap. We will make sure our team returns those calls regardless to avoid this from happening. UPDATE: Service manager went by and spoke with resident and confirmed the ** is working properly. The resident was home and stated she would be dismissing her BBB complaint and then they will probably just close the complaint as well.

      I would give this zero stars if I could. Lets start at customer service: horrible! The employees are rude, they interpret, and often have attitude. The manager is never available and if you ask to speak to one, they place you on hold and never return to the call. Ive been disconnected on many times after waiting 10-20-30 minutes Secondly, false advertisement. This company is out to collect fees and nothing else. There is no help available for those denied based upon requirements that are not mentioned on the website or application. And theres no refund of move in admin fees or pest control, even if denied! Thirdly, clear communication and follow up goes a long way. This company does neither. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME!

      No thank you. Does a manager even exist? I requested to speak with one many times and was not only denied on occasion but disconnected on. I will not be reaching out because of this. There is little to no follow up or return of communication anyways so I will save myself the time and frustration. I do not care that the fees were not returned, at this point it serves as a learning ****** to not do business with companies who already have bad reviews for such issues. This company DOES IN FACT SERVE AS A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY (I like all caps too). Please adjust your advertising to save future potential clients. In addition, your staff was entirely rude during each encounter and I am not the first to mention this in reviews, on top of my personal experience. Will not be referring this company and I have already been advised of several clients currently in the process of leaving this companys poor management.

      The women who runs the show let her son in the with a glass bottle after the pool was shut down for 2 weeks she does not live here and neither does her son she is abusing her job status for friends and family. Also the old pool boy use to be able to stay after hours with his friends. They have to like you in order to have these perks within feeling uncomfortable read the reviews it says it all.

      As soon as we were notified of the glass bottle by the pool the person was asked to remove it and they did. The situation with the previous pool attendant was addressed and we mutually agreed he wasnt the right fit for the position. Thank you for your concerns.

      I was approved for a unit and I am happy that I backed out even though they will keep my ******. I can take that after speaking with the office staff ******. Anytime someone can be that unprofessional at 9:13am this is not a person having a bad day this a person who is just rude and unprofessional by nature.

      Where to begin? First off, don't bother moving in unless you can schedule a tour, it looks like something out of a 1980's horror movie. The place hasn't been updated, not even the ** door handles that are in every room. Then they don't even clean it for you before you move in, ranging from the air filter to the top of appliances. Secondly, I cannot even begin to describe the amount of police activity that happens at this property, DAILY. You will literally see a cop almost every other day, make sure to make friends with them! I actually was told by a police officer to actually move due to increased police activity/crime. There was also a shooting on Easter Sunday that forced residents to be evacuated from the property for multiple hours. Feel free to look that up on the local news. When having presented this was a problem, management did nothing, said nothing and basically swept it under the rug. Now, having only been a resident there for less than 3 MONTHS, you could see how that would be slightly problematic. Thirdly, I can't even begin to describe how unprofessional the entire management staff is, even to the Regional Manager. I find it incredibly unprofessional that management will not only fraternize with tenants after hours. But that they will go out of their way to make sure they are up to date on your PERSONAL business, and I mean, hanging around your building, driving by your building, etc. Also, make sure you don't get electrocuted by the maintenance staff, as that was part of my experience, and again, management did nothing and said nothing. This place left such a horrible taste in my mouth that I would never wish my worst enemy to live or deal with anyone on this property or this management company. Do yourself a favor and go to another place or another city. You'll be sorry if you stay here.

      I have been here for 5 years....each year it gets worse.....work orders not complete or half a** done...Amenities what a joke.....pool this year not opened til after the 4th of July.....last year vandalism to pool bathroom and grill...grill to date still not functional. Promises of security cameras being install and vandalism still not installed or addressed ************* doing less and less.....weeds overgrowth and pond a mess. Owners that live in ******** I'm sure have no clue .I have pics and have had issues since moving in.When Monarch took over promises adequate that things would get better .....still waiting on that.....it's becoming one and more like the ghettos and rent being raises yearly Pest control charges monthly and pest control comes 2 to 3 months at best. I am and have been trying to reach out to higher management with no avail to this point.I have become disabled and have limited options.....I hope that the owner sees this and hope to get contacted soon as to what they may or not be made aware of
