  I didn't want to give this company a star at all, but had to, to post this review. I hired this company to perform chipseal work on my driveway, and I wasted $18,000 in June of 2023. The quality of work performed on my driveway is substandard. Some sections adhered to the asphalt binder, but in the most critical sections of the driveway, there is substantial failure. There was over 1/2" of excess rock across the entire surface, and the driveway grading was insufficient. The crew got asphalt binder on the house foundation, garage concrete driveway, porch landing, and ruined two of my hoses. The company used my well water without asking. I talked to the owner of the company that evening after the work was completed. I pointed out the deficiencies, and he stated it would be fixed. It never was, still isn't, and I have not seen the owner again. I have pictures of all the deficient areas. I have repeatedly tried to contact the owner by phone, text, and email. He returned a phone call one time and stated his grandson was having medical issues and that was why he hadn't gotten back to me. He assured me that the repairs would be completed; however, they have not been completed to date, and the driveway continues to fall apart. Note: there was another landowner who lives close to me who had the same story, except the owner told the property owner that his father was ill instead of his grandson. From that point forward, he wouldn't respond to any of my emails, text messages, or phone calls. I have a recorded message from the owner stating he will get the work completed. I have documentation noting all the times I have tried to contact the owner. The 5-year guarantee noted on the paid invoice continues not to be honored. Should have performed more research and not selected this company to perform the work. There are many of the same complaints against this company that were out there before I hired them. I would suggest not doing business with this company!

  $21,000 wasted money - July, 2023. Bad job paving, bad job communicating, 5 year guarantee is a joke, Many problems from the day of the job, and promised to complete and fix didn't happen. Should not have allowed him to start the job, but he had had machinery problems so started late and he promised it would be fine. It wasn't from the start, the middle or the end. He said the chip seal would pack down. We should not have believed him. It did not. Basically we paid $18,000 for a lot of gravel on top of our already ashphalted driveway - some sections did get some of the tar under the gravel and some got none at all and just plain gravel chips on top. The other $3,000 was for a section that just had a seal coat on it, and the seal coat was ok although very sloppy, and the workers got tar on house, driveway, porch, & all over hose bib & left water running. We sent texts, emails both with photos of the issues. ******* responded that he was out of the area and with winter coming he would be back the summer of 2024 and would remedy everything. So we said ok, and starting in March 2024 we texted and emailed and called and no response. So as I said we paid a lot of money for loads of gravel. Do not do business with this company!

  I am writing this review, because I’ve done business with a lot of companies over the years. Mr. Riley is honest true to his word, and make sure the job done is done correctly. We was not happy with what I ran after the severe winter that we had last year, and he came out and redid that area and a whole other section that he was not satisfied with he Went above and beyond what I expected I will be using them for future projects and would recommend them highly to anyone

  Asphalt Paving & Chip Seal is a great company they did exactly what they propose didnt ask for no money upfront did a couple of my rental properties and actually waiting for their money for a month did quality work I am very pleased and will continue to use their services

  This company did a huge ***************************** seal for us and it is HORRIBLE. After only a few weeks it is literally falling apart. We have tried everything to get them to call us back and they won't return our calls. We are seeking a way to find them as they gave us a 1 year guarantee. As of now, 3 months later, they will NOT call us back.
