It's baffling that a company would own so many multi-unit properties, (totaling over ***** units, according to their website) and have so little understanding of how to communicate with their residents. I've had people unexpectedly try to enter my unit, I've been told people would be coming to my unit only to have them not show up, I've been told the water would be shut off at a different time than it actually was, I've had the water shut off with no warning. They also seem to have no way of scheduling anything with outside businesses because the wifi that controls the laundry room and package locker has been out for around six months and my window has been needing to be repaired for around the same amount of time.I work a job that requires a HIPAA-compliant workspace and have had the manager of the property I live at tell me that I have to let people in if they show up or it's violating my lease. But federal law supersedes a lease agreement. I also am curious how a company that receives over $1 million a month from their properties (even if 20% of their units are vacant and rent averages $1000, which are both absurd) simply doesn't have the money or ability to replace stolen barbells and weight plates, have cameras that work in the common areas, or make sure the callbox works on the building.I tried to email them some of these complaints, and more, but the email address listed on their website doesn't work because "the domain summit.communities couldn't be found."How is it possible that a company could be this bad at the core functions of the job and still be in business? If I worked anywhere with this many obvious failures, I'd be instantly fired. If someone doesn't pay them by the third, they get all the communication in the world and a notice on their door. If they don't fix an elevator or a leak or mold or a window for several weeks, they just say it's too hard.

The worst management company I've ever dealt with! They have withheld a $100 from my security deposit for completely BS charge of light cleaning. This is a direct violation C.R.S. *********. The apartment was thoroughly cleaned, including washing of the carpet, and there was no trash left behind. I also know for a fact that it was renovated after I moved out. So, they are telling me that they did light cleaning before renovating? Considering how well they maintain the buildings overall I seriously doubt that. They are blatantly ripping people off without any reason, knowing that most will not want to go court over this.

We have further reviewed your account and corrected your deposit withholding. You will be returned the $100 that was initially withheld. Thank you for making us aware of this.

The worst apartment leasing company! I moved into an apartment complex located on ***********************. ****** **, ***** in the past year weve had four different property managers a known drug dealer whos leasing here, who was arrested and allowed to continue his lease. During the winter, trash wasnt picked up and literally piled into a mountain. Now theyre refusing to take my certified payment via money order. Theyre insisting that I can only pay through the online portal, however they lock it so I cant just do it whenever. Or they want me to take copious amounts of cash out in public to a cvs, 711, etc and have them scan a plu to pay my rent. None of this information is in my lease. Stay away from summit communities when looking for places to rent!
