I thought I was refinancing my car loan but this has turned into a mess and I feel like I am being scammed. I signed paperwork weeks ago and nothing. I called my other finance company and they have no recieved the payoff nothing. I have not got any paperwork from the credit union that I have to make payments to. Then I get told I was approved for my husbands *** and they take my down payment and run with it and call me next day oh you are denied. Ok give me my money back. This is so shady stuff and I want my money back and I dont want to deal with the new credit union or anything anymore u am not happy at all. They take your money and you can never get a hold of anyone. Shady stuff going on here and I will not be scammed I will go all the way with this. You owe $530 bucks I need it back. All in credit union has not sent me anything saying they are paying off my car nothing I need answers or I want everybody back to normal done with this companyBusiness Response

We agree that you are due $530 back from the principal reduction payment you made on the deal for which you decided not to move forward due to the lenders request for more information. On 6/18, prior to receiving your complaint, your agent notified our **************** that the refund needed to be issued. After being processed, that refund is being overnighted to you on 6/24. That application was terminated per your request.
The second loan application you submitted was funded by the lender on 6/9, despite the fact that we had not yet received your principal reduction payment for this transaction. Once we received your principal reduction payment on 6/16, we submitted those funds,along with the payoff from the new loan to the previous lienholder. We sent that payment via ACH on 6/16. The payoff was process and the lien was released by that lienholder on 6/23. Please note that if you contacted that previous lienholder in between us wiring the funds and them applying the funds to your account, they might have told you that the loan wasnt paid off, even though it was in the process of being paid off.
We are pleased that we could resolve your concern on the first loan application and facilitate a new refinance loan for your second loan application. This loan is active. I filled out an online inquiry with RefiJet to refinance my vehicle loan 6/11/25. I was contacted by phone for an intake call and transferred to Shad (listed ******** ****** in the app). From what he claimed is his direct line ************, he told me that I would receive an email link to the RefiJet app, and to upload several items, one of which being a proof of name change. I wasn't able to get around to it immediately so about two hours later he requested the proof of name change to the phone number above via text, and I did text it to him. I texted the same number yesterday to ask where the link was to no answer. I called the same number this morning and the line didn't even ring before a voicemail with an English accent played. The phone number comes back attached to ******** ****** in ******** when I ****** it. I found the link and got around to signing up for the app today, and when I go to the document requests section it gave me a 404 error. RefiJet received my name, my FKA and court order associated with it, social security number, address, previous address, VIN number of my vehicle, birthday, and employment history among other information in exchange for them to apply for refinance loans on my behalf. RefiJet appears to have no intention of fulfilling their obligation if they are even real, and allows employees to mishandle secure information for intents that are not made clear.Business Response

We recognize that our agent was not responsive to your follow up calls and understand that this created concern that your data was improperly handled. We are taking disciplinary action with that agent due to lack of professionalism and failure to follow up in a manner consistent with our customer service policies. However, we assure you that your data was only received in and retained in our SOC2 Type II secure system and only used for the purpose for which you authorized it.
The link to the portal showed an error because of our data security protocols. They are time limited to reduce the chance of unauthorized access to your data. Any personal data in that portal is also automatically deleted to reduce the chance of data breach. In your case, the portal was manually deleted to ensure we did not collect or provide any data or documents when the loan was not proceeding. We acknowledge that our agent should have notified you to avoid causing you concern.
No personal device was used in any way related to your data. We do provide direct lines to our agents with the intent of making it easier for consumers to reach their specific agent.
No third party received your data, other than the lenders who received your application for an auto loan refinance. We received your verbal authorization to share that data on a recorded call on 11:10am on 6/11/25.
Your data was not and will not be sold, per the terms of our privacy notice, which you accepted when you started your online application. No third-party other than the parties directly involved with your credit request has or will receive your personal data.
We have deleted your data from our marketing system. According to our data security policies and procedures, we need to verify your identity to process your request to delete data. This is one of our identity theft protection measures. Once we contact you on a recorded and secure phone line and you confirm your identity, we will anonymize your data in our application processing system. We are required to retain some records, per the ******* Leach,Bliley Act (GLBA) for regulatory compliance purposes only since you submitted an application for credit. Since your application was submitted to lenders based on your permission on a recorded line, we cannot delete the application data they have. They will provide you with an adverse action letter that will define the reasons upon which they made their decision. We will contact you by phone within the next three business days, then, upon confirming your identity and formal request, then we will delete or anonymize your data and issue the appropriate notarized letter of confirmation per your request.If you would like to call us directly, please reach out to ************** and we will respond in a timely manner.

On April ******* a hard inquiry was reported to the credit bureaus concerning a refinance on my 2021 **** Bronco. Upon contacting ******************* I was informed that Refijet filed for information on my credit without my consent. I had not spoken with anyone at this company prior to contacting *** ******* ******************) at 4:49 pm on April 10. He stated that someone else handled that and that they were not supposed to run my credit without speaking to me first. I am rejecting this response because:The document will not open.
A disclosure was sent along with the agreement That disclosure stated. Do not call unless you have an idea of what the interest rate will be for someone with a 835 credit s ore and high income. This included no credit checks hits against my credit untill I have a ball park idea
These criminals called anyway. They would not give any idea of anything. They were dismissed.
During the conversation it became apparent. In my opinion they are involved in predatory lending practices.
Back to the disclosure they sent I cant open . Disclosure dont allow criminal activity.

I started a refinancing with RefiJet. I was approved for a new loan with a credit union and provided all documents of the old loan and signed all necessary documents according to RefiJet. However, my old loan still has not been paid off. I contacted the **************** and they said RefiJet is supposed to payoff the old loan. I contacted the old creditor and they have not received any payment even though RefiJet claims to have sent the payment a week ago. This is extremely worrying as I will have to pay interest/payments on two loans this month. I contacted RefiJet multiple times and they are not providing information other than payment sent. No official *** receipt or any of those. They also used my vehicles VIN as the account number for the old loan, which is not the account number of the old creditor, they have said that this is okay and the old creditor should accept it. I just want this figured out soon, as Im receiving conflicting information from RefiJet and the bank.Business Response

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We understand that you requested that we cancel the loan transaction. However, we received that request on 5/28, which was after you executed the loan documents on 5/21. The signed loan documents were presented to the lender on 5/22.
As part of the standard refinance process, RefiJet obtained a soft credit pull upon your request and with your permission to complete an application for a potential auto loan refinance. We obtained your permission to submit your application to the lender for application underwriting and explained that it would involve a credit pull by the lender. Based on the lenders approval, you completed and signed the loan documentation, which constitutes a legally binding agreement between you and the lender. The loan was processed and funded once you signed the loan documents with the lender.
We confirmed via review of our recorded phone calls and communications with you, that the terms of the proposed loan were described accurately, and you voluntarily accepted them and signed the loan documents. We did not find that you asked to terminate the process at any time prior to signing the loan agreement and other required documents. Once these documents are signed and the loan funds are disbursed, the transaction is finalized and cannot be retroactively canceled.
Since the credit reports were pulled with permission and the loan was completed, RefiJet cannot remove the inquiries from the credit report nor terminate the contract you have with the lender.Our Client Success Team has been in touch with you but if you need anything else, please email *******************************************************.

I refinance via Refijet November 2024 and was sold an extended warranty for my vehicle in which I was told that it was a bumper to bumper warranty until ******* miles. I've recently found out that it is in fact not. I have decided to go with another company for an actual bumper to bumper warranty and cannot get Refijet to return my calls to discuss the refund process or cancel my existing warranty through them. I've made several attempts calling and they keep blowing me off stating that the only person qualified to help me is on another call. Contacted RefiJet in hopes they could help me with a Title issue. ****** ********* contacted me and said he could help. I needed to refinance my 2015 Equinox but my ex-husband whom I have no contact with due to abusive marriage was on the title. Sabien again reassured me this could be fixed. Application goes through, hooked up with *********************************, got me a lower interest rate, even made my first payment. I get a call from ***** at RefiJet in the **************** telling me we have an issue, my ex-husband is still on the Title. I explained I already went through this at the beginning of the Application with Sabien and he said it would be fine. It was not. Recently got a call from Taurine (?) telling me my loan was being sent back to Credit Acceptance. Now I know that ALL calls are recorded at this company as they tell me every time they call me. I have emails as well from the start of the process. This company is a scam. And if they are not a scam, then the employees are EXTREMELY UNEDUCATED in their field. This whole transaction has now effected my future. I am currently in the process of buying a house.Business Response

Upon initial review of your situation, our agent provided information based on what was visible at that time and believed we would be able to help move the process forward.
We acknowledge that you were upfront about the legal complications involving your ex-husband. Based on the guidance provided, you proceeded through the application process and a loan was successfully set up with a new lender, including the first payment being made.
As the title process progressed, our team was informed that the request to process a new title solely under your name was being rejected by the state. At that point, we worked to find alternative options, but the states title requirements could not be met without documentation from the other party.
While our agents strive to be as thorough and accurate as possible based on the information available at the time of application, title decisions are ultimately governed by state DMV regulations, which can override initial expectations if conflicting information arises later in the process.
Since that time, our Customer Relations Manager has spoken with you directly by phone. You expressed appreciation for having a dedicated point of contact and shared that you felt heard and understood during that conversation. Were also glad to hear that you were thankful for the compensation provided in acknowledgment of the trouble this situation has caused. They will NOT stop calling me from all TYPES of numbers, all from ********, ive had to turn on silence unknown numbers because i am getting WOKEN UP EVERYDAY to these people calling me, I have not COMPLETED my application and with how desperate they are i am NOT interested in refinancing with this company yet they continue, ive picked up the phone and told them to stop calling me and its to no avail.
