This property has been paid in full since May of 2022. Statebridge has refused to provide the loan release. We have called dozens of times and sent written requests with no action. The property was owned by our deceased uncle and we are unable to settle his estate due to Statebridges inaction.Business Response

i had a loan with a finance company named citi finiacial. i took out that loan in ****, citi finiacial went out of business in 2010. they left with no information about my loan. i had no idea who to continue to make payments to. i was contacted by some finance company about 3 years later, after having a discussion with them once, i never heard about this loan again. now in october of 2021, i received a letter from some company called wilington savings and fund society. i contacted this company and ask them for a pay off amount. the only thing they would send me was refinance paperwork. i was served court papers for a forecloser in febuary 2022. i also applied for a state ***** to help pay off this debt however, they refused to send a payoff amount to the state. i would like to know why this debt is in the name of statebridge, yet im being sued by another finance company ? this company is very deseptive, and shadey. all that i owed on the debt in 2010 when the last payment was made was ******* this company brought this debt, for about ****** and is now trying to collect over ******** i offered to pay what i owed on this debt, but they are stead fastly incesting that i owe them late fees, interest, and a bunch of other charges. i had no agreement with this company to pay any such charges. they are just trying to take advantage of the situation. i know legally, if the courts allow a forecloser on my property, all they are entitled to is the amount owed on that loan nothing more. if they would have produced a pay off amount to the state, im sure thats all they would have recieved, thats why they didnt do it. they think they are going to force me to sign a agreement with them, and thats not going to happen. futhermore, they are going to push the wrong persons button and wind up in the obituarys.Business Response

Complaint: 18377228I am sorry, I just noticed the email you sent to me today. However, I do not agree at all with this response from statebridge. They claim that they have not refused to provide information. This is a outright lie ! The only truth in their response was yes we did have three mediation hearings. however, during all three of those hearings we and the mediator kept asking for a payoff amount and letter which their attorney could not provide. The only thing that statebridge would send to us was refinancing paperwork. This was noted in the third and final hearing when I read a letter sent to us to the mediator and I quote his response was " ( that letter is a sham )" I said yes I know it is and it was this company that sent it to us ! Again, this company is very disceptive and well to put it bluntly they are LIERS ! Which is pretty obvious, just from a glance at the BBB website. Just to let someone know how crooked this company is, I just received a payoff letter from them today, 12/05/2022. I guess now that I have a attorney involved, they are going to try and look as if they are on the up and up. However, we owed ******* when the last payment was made in 2010. Now statebridge purchased this debt, according to them , in November 2020. This payoff letter I received states that they want 9162.00 This is for a debt that they probably paid about ****** for ! Now we would have paid what we owed, if properly notified. However this account changed hands at least 5 times I have been told since our last payment in 2010. Again statebridge you are LIERS !!! The first time we heard about this was November 2021 . And again, every time we reached out to you the only thing you people wanted was for us to sign a loan agreement. Not going to happen, just looking at the BBB website would scare anyone away !! I guess that's why you people feel it necessary to scare people into dolng business with you and rip them off !
Sincerely,

Statebridge purchased our mortgage from Ocwen in July of 2022. At the the time, our loan had been in forbearance and was under modification by *****. We had reached out to Ocwen to find the status of our modification application when we were informed of the sale. We contact Statebridge, who had never notified us that they were the new mortgage holder or provided us any information in writing about our account status, loan number, payment or remittance options as required by law. They informed us that they had no record of our account being in modification at the time of purchase and we would need to apply with them. ********************************* asked us to provide the necessary documents on July 19th. We did so and were notified that it would be complete within 30 days. Near the 30 days ***** we reached back out to find out the status, only to be told that ******** was no longer handling it and it had been turned over to *************************. Her asked us to resubmit everything on the 19th of August, which we did immediately. on 8/26, we received a call from ******** telling us the modification had been approved. When we inquired about *************************, he then said he made a mistake and that ******* would get back to us. On 9/5, I received a notice from my credit monitoring agency that they had posted a 120 days late to my report on Transunion. Under the CARES Act, this is also illegal, not to mention our loan was never late or reported as such by *****, prior to Statebridge purchasing the loan in July. My math comes out to us not even being able to be 120 days late. On 9/8 we received a notice denying the modification. Upon contacting ************************* 9/16 to question the lack of notifying us that they were our new lender and the 120 days issue being suspicious, he admitted that this is standard business practice for them, regardless of whether any of it is ethical or legally suspect. We hav e filed a claim with the ******** Attorney General. This need to be remedied immediately.Business Response

Statebridge took over servicing of my loan but refused to accept the true value of the loan. Rather they inflated the loan value and pretend to work with me meanwhile adding late fees. They are low life hustlers going around scamming home owners.Business Response

My loan was on-sold to Statebridge Company, in 2020 without any notification to me.Over the next few months, they locked me out of the online payment system, despite me telling them I was stuck overseas due to COVID.Statebridge's online facility repeatedly confirmed payments were made (but they were NEVER processed). It wasn't until much later that I was informed that they locked all customers out. They charged me thousands in 'late fees' despite the fact THEY had made the payments late.I have plenty of funds to pay,but they blocked me at every turn.I had no way to pay but by phone. For a very long time, the customer service number was not answered - I would wait for HOURS and often not get an answer at all.No Answer=No Payment=late fees. The company appears to purposely behave in an unconscionable way by refusing to take payments, then hitting customers with late fees and rolling over charges that hit our credit ratings.I have written dozens of emails asking for assistance, but receiving none.Emails provide me with no viable options and the (866) 'toll free' number does not work outside the USA.I have never had such a difficult relationship with a company. They are deliberately acting to hurt and hinder good faith customers.I need to have my loan sold to another company to be free of this systemic bad handling of my loan.Aree they simply trying to foreclose on someone who has plenty of funds by making it so incredibly difficult to pay off the loan. Please help me.This company imposes sever psychological distress and emotional distress on law-abiding people. Over 2 years, they have killed my credit rating and have made me a nervous wreck. I have written proof of my unanswered emails and the difficulties I've encountered just trying to pay my mortgage. Kind regards, *******************************Business Response
