    I purchased AHIT Home Inspectors Training Course on 7/13/24 via Affirm for $842.60. I then called to cancel the course on 7/20/24 to receive a receive a full refund for the course and was told it would take 5-7 business days and I would receive an email outlining the refund. I have yet to receive any refund or phone call or email from AHIT. I have called repeatedly, at least 6-8 times and am told it is being escalated to the Affirm representative, ****, and he will call me back. It is now, 8/13, and I have called twice today and was told someone would call me back and this would be resolved today as this is the final day to receive a refund - I am still waiting. I just spoke with another agent and was told exactly the same thing. Someone will call me back and this will be refunded. No one has ever called me or emailed me and I have contacted them repeatedly. I told the agent this evening I am filing a complaint with the BBB and cancelling my debit card tomorrow so they don't charge me. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. I told her it appears to me they are only after my money which is why I am now having to cancel my debit card. I am constantly promised a call or email and I never hear from anyone.

    I am still receiving emails and text notifications from Affirm notifying me I will be charged today. I do not believe you have notified Affirm of the cancellation.

    Thank you for providing feedback. Affirm is a 3rd party that many vendors utilize for payment plans on their products. While we did initiate the refund on your behalf with Affirm, we were advised on follow up due to this review that Affirm can take 45 days to issue the refund to their customers and they did advise our sales manager that customers should continue with their payments until refund is issued on their side. Please contact Affirm at ************ directly with any issues or questions as this payment plan is outside of what American Home Inspector Training can assist with.

    I went through AHIT for my home inspection certification. I have been waiting for a valid completion certificate for months now. I cannot get licensed with my state until I receive this. I have completed the exam and the ride-alongs. All I keep being told by **** is that they are looking for the information. I have lost dozens of potential home inspections already, as the home inspectors I rode with have been recommending me to potential clients and Ive had to turn away the work. At this point, I am at a loss and feel like this is going to forever be an issue I constantly have to remind AHIT about. Please beware of this company!

    AHIT promises that students will receive all of the necessary certification required to take the state exam. However, upon completion of the course, I was told that due to a change their online education company, they did not have the certificate for my 80-hour Field Training. I took the course from August 5th, 2022 - August 15th, 2022, and I have ways to prove it. I have been contacting AHIT every few days, beginning on September 26th, 2023, but I still have not received my certificate and I am continually told to just wait. There is no sense of urgency on their end, and that is quite evident with how long this is taking. Every month I have to wait is money that my business is losing from potential clients. AHIT was paid in full, the required courses were completed, but I have not received what I was promised by the company in the beginning.

    I purchased a AHIT class from them and Im trying to get a refund after I have had to change class times twice due to family emergencies and now Im unable to go due to the a portion of the class being across my state and my daughter is special needs and needs 24/7 care so Im unable to travel to the live portion of the class. I spent ******* on this class They are refusing to refund me.

    AHIT is committed to providing students with a satisfactory experience while maintaining the boundaries outlined within the terms and conditions. 


    We have a 30 day refund policy, it states that if you are unhappy with the product or need a refund for any reason and are within 30 days of purchase and have not completed more than 50% of the coursework in each/any course we will issue a full refund. We show your courses were purchased on 6/30/23 and the first request for a refund was made on 11/11/23. Therefore, you are not eligible for a refund. 

    Regarding your live class, we are happy to help you register for a class that is closer to your location. If ****** does not work for you, we are offering a class in ******* on 2/16-3/1. For further assistance, please contact our student support line.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I was never told I could transfer to a ******* class. When I asked if they had any at all I was told it was only in ******. I will call them on payday this week to pay the transfer class fee to move to that class.
