In 2020, I filled out paper work for HLG to help me with my debt. They did that with every company except ************* (433 ************************* **********). *** wanted me to work it out with ************* after I paid them to take care of this matter. They said they would work out settlement with *************. They led me to believe that they were working on case. i called ************ and was told they were working on case and that I would have to pay ************* not them. On 2/24/22 I called HLG attorney at ************ and filled a verbal complaint that my last account with them has not been settled. Then I called 3/3/22 HLG wanted to work with and set up new draft for me to pay. We tried for several weeks for me to start paying HLG for ************ Settlement. I filled out paper work but HLG was not accepting money from me. I called 3/16/22 HLG was unable to draft from my bank. They made me think it was something I had done wrong. I called 4/19/22, 6/2/22 I was told they were trying to work it out. *** admitted that they were not able to take money from me I had to pay ************* after they make a settlement offer with them. I was told to call and check on status of my account. I did that form June 2, 2022 and was told that they were working on it every time I called. Then August 31, 2022 I called and was told it would take place in December/Jan. 2023. I called January 5 and was told that my account with HLG was cancelled on October 30, 2021. I was told I should have gotten letter. I did not receive a letter, email or phone call from HLG canceling my account. They refused to work with ************* or ************* refused to work with HLG. I called ******************** a *************************************** ***********************) and tried to set a settlement with *************. ******** told be to ask ************* for a pay off amount in writing. I did this and ************* refused to put anything in writing for credit card debt in 2016. My first phone call they side I would get a letter in 7 to 10 days. I did not receive a letter. I called again, they would give me amount I owed but refused to put anything in writing. I gave ******** dates and amounts. He said they should send you by mail or e-mail a pay off letter. I tried again they wanted me to pay them with out anything in writing. I am retired and I wanted to settle my debt but I do not trust ************* or HLG. *** made it seem as if ************* refused to settle with them and wanted me to call them. I did not want to deal with bank with out someone who knew what was right and what was wrong. I do not know if HLG was to blame or the bank. I want them to finish what they started but I do not trust them. Help me find out what they did and make them fix this. Now, ******** told me that after so many years bank can write off loss of my debt. Is this why the bank refused to send me anything in writing?

Harbor did get me in good standing at first and I made payments. However they completely underestimated the time frame it would take to get me cleared up. So they just abandoned me and gave me the run around for over 2 years. No lie when I say that one day I was so determined for them to resolve my situation that I waited on hold for over 3 hours. Nothing was resolved that day though. Now I've received notification that they are completely obsolving themselves from me and I owe more than I would have if they helped me 2 years ago. I pray I may find a way to pursue successful legal action against them. Awful, horrible all around experience. Please stay away.
