They are claiming an A+ rating on their website when they have a D-. My purchases and seeking out auto issue help was made under false pretenses, which can be considered consumer fraud under state and federal law.

      Business Response

      Date: 07/02/2025

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this complaint on behalf of *************************

We understand the customers concerns and appreciate the chance to clarify the events and our position. We take all feedback seriously and strive to resolve every issue in a fair and transparent manner.

The customer initially brought their vehicle to us for service. Some of that work was later warrantied, due to part failure, without hesitation, and we stood behind those repairs fully. After the customer picked up their vehicle following the warranty work, a ball joint failed. While this was understandably upsetting, we want to note that the ball joint was not a component we serviced. It was not included in the scope of the original repair or warranty work. However, we acknowledge that it was missed during our courtesy inspection.

Despite the ball joint not being part of our repair responsibility, we took full accountability for the situation by:

Replacing the failed ball joint at no cost to the customer

Covering the cost of body repairs caused by the incident at an external body shop

Having the vehicle inspected by a second, independent sister store to verify that all work was completed properly and safely

Our goal throughout this process was to do the right thing and support the customer beyond what was required contractually. At no point did we refuse help or try to shift blame.

Additionally, the customer expressed concern about our ******************** rating. Wed like to provide some context: as of a few weeks ago, our BBB account was merged with 20 other locations under the same brand. One of those locations had a lower rating due to two unresolved complaints submitted prior to the merger. Our intention was never to mislead or falsely advertise our standing, and we will be working directly with the BBB to clarify these rating inconsistencies and ensure accurate representation of each location's performance. We have also removed the BBB logo from our website.

While we are very sympathetic to the customers experience, we do not believe a full refund is warranted. The work initially performed was necessary, completed properly, and remains intact. We responded promptly to the ball joint failure, covered all related costs (about $1,900), and took extra steps to ensure the customers vehicle was safe and road ready.

Thank you for your time and please let us know if we can be of further assistance in this matter.

I called the EAS Tire & Auto asking for a quote on getting a diagnostics on my car. When I first called they quoted me $150 for them to do the diagnostic but once I informed them it was a hybrid they raised the price to $300. I took it in June 26, 2023, and they told me they had found the issue and they quoted me $1,906 to get it fixed, before agreeing I asked if my car still had the same issues what will happen after that and they assured me that we can take it back free of charge and get it fixed. When we picked up our car we were 8 miles out when I broke down, we weren't even able to get it home, when it started having the same issue we had taken it in for. We called the shop and they told us we had to get it towed back (we had to pay $120 out of pocket). When we took it back they looked at it again and informed us there was actually a different issue with the car and that they don't work with those types of cars even after telling us it was going to be a higher cost because it was a Hybrid.

Brought my car to Eagle on 1-9-2023 to verify all was working correctly as another Oil change place changed my oil and transmission fluid in December 2022 and made a major error and paid to have my transmission replaced.I let Eagle know this and they said the car was fine. On March 6 I brought my car back as the check engine light came on as well as flashing break sign. Eagle said they needed to replace the 02 sensor as well as "regular maintenance." They changed the transmission fluid as well as the oil when it was done in December when the new transmission was installed as was explained to them They said they already did the work, which I did not sign off on. The amount for the transmission fluid change and oil change totaled $764.38 in addition to the sensor charges. 2 weeks later the check engine light came on again and they said they needed to change the second O2 sensor which they did not do when they did the 1st one. I showed the charges to a male friend who spoke with them. They agreed, ***********************, they should not have charged me the $764.38 but did not want to give me a refund as they did the work so would send me coupons worth $800 for future oil changes, etc. I have never received anything and over 2 weeks have passed. My male friend thinks they just took advantage of a female over 50. I deserve a refund and if any coupons ever show up I would not take my car back to the same place.
