I recently had the pleasure of working with Integrity Fencing for my new fence installation, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the results. The quality of their work is above average, evident in the robust and aesthetically pleasing fence that now borders my property. From the start, Integrity Fencing demonstrated exceptional professionalism and dedication. They worked diligently to navigate the often complicated process of securing permits from the county and coordinating with my financial institution to incorporate the fence payment into my home loan. This level of service was beyond what I expected and greatly appreciated. After the initial installation, I noticed a couple of minor mistakes. I was impressed by how quickly Integrity Fencing responded to my concerns. They came back promptly to make the necessary touch-*** and even took the initiative to replace my gate when they realized it didn't match the design I had chosen. This attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction truly sets them apart.Special thanks to **************, and all the contractors involved. Their respectfulness and attentiveness made the entire process smooth and stress-free. If you're looking for a fencing company that goes above and beyond, I highly recommend Integrity Fencing. They truly live up to their name.

I would like to start out by stating that I would highly recommend Integrity Fence! I run a business in downtown ****** and we are in the 5 Points area that has historical landmark requirements for design, materials and appearance. The City of ****** is a challenge when getting approval for permits. The Integrity team was with me step by step through the entire process and at times asked to go above and beyond to meet the stringent landmark components, The Owner, ***** and his team masterfully design the fencing and assisted me in getting it approved. The customer service and communication was outstanding from ******. The workers installed everything timely and to spec and cleaned up everything. I am very happy with the fence and impressed with the professionalism and service. Thank you Integrity Fence for exceeding my expectations! Deep Rock Water - ****** ********

I had a somewhat similar experience from a previous recent review I read.. The wood quality and construction was subpar. When installers came out to fix the 9 issues that I emailed about (very detailed email with pictures) only 3 things were fixed. Terrible communication within Integrity Fencing Wait it gets better..After about a month the alleged superintendent came out again and told me $1000 off the original agreed price of the fence was fair. Nothing heard.. 3 weeks go by - emailed again begging them to take my money to resolve and finalize the contract. Then after another gentleman came out and proceeded to tell me that "the superintendent doesnt remember saying that the discount amount was reasonable". Essentially calling me a liar. After which we came to another agreement BUT this time on $500 off the original price. At this point I was done with dealing with Integrity Fence. The weeks following I received 4 invoices, all in which were wrong.. Which I can only assume were done in Integrity Fences hopes that I would give in and over pay. 2 stars as the fence was in fact installed and completed. Yet the 'Integrity' in Integrity Fence is quite ironic

      Hello *******

Thank you for the recent submission to the Better Business Bureau and we are sorry that you are not a happy customer.  I will address your concerns in the following text.  First, it looks like we installed the fence on your property on April 30, 2024, and our field superintendent came back on May 2, 2024 to address your concerns regarding your fence.  From his notes, you two agreed on a plan of action on what you wanted to be addressed with your fence.  On May 8, 2024, the installation crew went back to your property, and they were giving instructions on what need to be fixed by your spouse.  At that point, our notes indicated that your spouse was happy with the corrections that were made to your fence.

On May 23, 2024, our superintendent came back to perform a final walk-through and you pointed out more concerns that you wanted fixed, but you did not want to go through the hassle of having the install crew come back and mess with the fence since it was being used and you had stained it as well.  In lieu of having the crew come back and fix your remaining concerns, you chose a $500 discount off your invoice.  To address the mention of the $1,000 discount, I do not know where that discount number came from as my superintendent is not authorized to give pricing concessions. Based on the price you paid for the fence, a $1,000 discount would have been more than 25% of the total price of the fence.  Next, let me address the multiple invoices that you received.  After looking through the notes, it is somewhat hard to see what happened, but it appears to be a delay in communication within my team with regards to the additional cost of extra linear footage and the $500 discount.  I am sorry that you were caught in our delay of communication and that it caused you to receive invoices that were incorrect.

Finally, the mention of wood quality.  This is the first time you mentioned anything about the quality of wood that was used with your project.   As I review the notes there is nothing indicating wood quality was a concern.  Therefore, I am a little confused to this point because it has not come up till now.   We do stock appearance grade dimensional lumber, so we generally have much better-quality lumber then our competitors.  We also describe the wood quality in our warranty statement and address the common conditions that happen with wood in our warranty.  For your reference, I have included the section of our warranty that describes this.  Integrity Fencing uses prime lumber materials in the construction of wooden fences but makes no warranty that wood products will not naturally warp, split, crack, shrink or incur discoloration as these are naturally occurring conditions for wood and cannot be prevented.

None the less, we apologize that you are not satisfied with the project that we completed for you.  However, we believe we have done everything in our power to make this right with you including offering to come back and address further issues and giving you a $500 discount on your invoice.  At this point, we do not know of anything that we can do to remedy your sentiments further.  Please call me with any questions and I would be happy to discuss further with you.

      Best regards,

A tornado touched down in my backyard and knocked down both side fences. Integrity built the new fence with rotten wood and large gaps between each slab. A guy (******) from Integrity came out to look at the fence and pointed out things I hadn't seen before, he pointed out nails missing, boards sticking out, and there should have been a board across the bottom of the fence, that he would have someone higher up to come by to take a look. A week later, the president ***** of the company came out with his daughter, they took pictures and agreed about the gaps between each slab, and the poor quality and said he would have someone else come out next week to take a look. Today 6/10/2024 a superintendent of the company came out with ***, and the superintendent wanted to argue the fact that the reason the gaps are between the slabs is because they do shrink however when they put the fence up with gaps we were told that the wood would expand and close the gaps. The superintendent (*****) of the company is now saying that the quality of wood has gone down, and even if they replace the fence, it would still be the same (gaps, low-quality), basely giving us the run-around.We paid Integrity for a 6' 5/8"x5.5" Western Red Cedar Privacy Fence with 2x6 Top ************** 8' it is not what we got. We had taken several bids for the blown-down fence to be replaced, Integrity Fencing was the highest bid, and their website pictures of fences showed high-quality fences however we didn't receive a quality fence. It has been one excuse after the other. This company has scammed us by advertising quality privacy fences and giving us low-quality wood and workmanship. As a result, we have wasted $8649.00. I need to either have the fence replaced by a reputable company, who hopefully has integrity, or place shrubs in front of the fence to hide the gaps. It was a red flag when they wanted half of the money upfront.

      Hello ******** and *****,
Let me address your concerns and accusations. First, we do not use rotten wood. Integrity Fencing Company uses new and appearance grade lumber for all customers. We also buy directly from lumber ***** in the **********/****** region. As I investigated your problem further within our company, I found out during the initial installation of your fence we did replace an entire side of your fence because you did not like the gaps in the wood. During that replacement, we ensured that every picket was tight against the picket on either side and used that technique throughout the rest of your fence. The pictures we took of your completed fence in August ******************************************************************************************* August of 2023. After 10 months of being in weather conditions, the wood has dried out and caused shrinkage in the cedar planks. The gaps that you are referring to in your fence are from the wood shrinking. This is not because we used rotten wood, this is simply the properties of wood. You can ****** the properties of Western Red Cedar and will find these boards can shrink from one-eighth to one-quarter (1/8-1/4) depending on climate. Since ******** has a dry climate, I would expect the wood to shrink by a higher amount. If you reference your warranty that you received, there is a section in the warranty that talks about wood and the properties of wood. I have included that specific section from the warranty below.

(ii)        Integrity Fencing uses prime lumber materials in the construction of wooden fences but makes no warranty that wood products will not naturally warp, split, crack, shrink or incur discoloration as these are naturally occurring conditions for wood and cannot be prevented.

I did come out personally and look at your fence. Recall that I mentioned I was not a fence expert by any means and that I wanted our Superintendent to go out to your house and look at the fence, which he did on June 10th (per your note). I would have never said the fence was inferior quality, but I did say that I did not know if the shrinkage of the pickets was normal or if the shrinkage was excessive.  When our Superintendent came out, he remembered your fence installation from August of 2023 and remembered that we replaced the one side as you did not like the gaps when the fence was installed.

You mentioned in your review that you purchased 6' 5/8"x5.5" Western Red Cedar Privacy Fence with 2x6 Top Cap & Fascia - 8'.  However, per your contract, you purchased 6'X 5/8" x 3.5"WESTERN RED CEDAR PRIVACY FENCE WITH 2X6 TOP CAP & 1X4 TOP FASCIA- 8'. Your fence has gaps, which is normal for that type of fence and common with other neighbors in your area, but we did not scam you.  We built the fence that we were contractually obligated to build, and we built a good fence for you. We have taken a 50% deposit from every one of our customers and we have never failed to deliver and build the fence per the contract. Your fence has a 3-year warranty, and we will gladly come out and replace individual pickets that do not look good, but we cannot keep replacing pickets that shrink.  Additionally, when we replace the pickets and then you apply fresh stain to those pickets, the new pickets will inherently look different.
None the less, we are sorry that you are not satisfied with the project that we completed for you. Outside of replacing the fence once again, we have done everything in our power to make this right with you. Thank you and please call if you have any questions.  I have also included some text below on lumber grading for your reference.

       Lumber Grading and Appearance

At Integrity Fencing Company, we use Western Red Cedar (WRC) for all of our wood products.  For our wood pickets, we use WRC #2, No holes, No previous select.  For posts and rails, we use WRC standard or better than standard and appearance grade.  Appearance grade is more expensive and can be requested for an additional cost.  Below are some terms regarding lumber that *** help.

      What is Lumber Grading?
Lumber grading is a standardized way to comprehend and understand the quality of a piece of wood or lumber by assessing and categorizing based on its quality, strength, and appearance. This systematic evaluation helps ensure that lumber meets specified standards and allows for consistent classification for various construction and manufacturing applications.

      How is Lumber Graded?
Lumber is graded according to its quality, strength, and appearance, with trained inspectors using standardized criteria such as knots, grain patterns, and defects to assign a grade. This classification ensures that lumber meets industry standards and facilitates its appropriate use in construction and manufacturing.

What Do the Different Types of Lumber Grades Mean?
Lumber is a wood product, sawn and shaped from timbers of harvested trees. By its nature, wood is not of uniform consistency and therefore will contain defects that impact the appearance of the lumber that is created from the wood material, and which *** impact the structural characteristics as well. In the U.S., lumber is assigned a grade which establishes a measure of consistency in the final products produced by *****. These grades are used to define both the quality of the lumber products delivered and to provide the buyer with a means to estimate the cost and waste associated with the selection of a given grade of the product as raw material.

      Softwood versus Hardwood
***** *** be classified as being either softwood or hardwood. However, those terms are not a strict indicator of the relative hardness of the wood itself. Softwoods are those which are derived from the harvesting of coniferous trees (gymnosperms), which are more often known as evergreen trees. These trees are ones which usually have needles and cones as opposed to leaves. Softwood lumber tends to be lighter and has a lower density than hardwood, owing to the fact that these trees that exhibit a higher rate of growth than hardwood trees. The high rate of growth contributes to the abundant supply, with most of the processed timber coming from softwoods. They tend to have a straighter grain, making these ***** suitable for use in construction framing lumber and building components such as windows and doors.

Some of the most commonly used softwoods that are created into lumber include:

Cedar both red and yellow most commonly
      Fir often called ******* Fir
      Pine
      Redwood
      Spruce

By contrast, hardwoods come from angiosperms (flowering trees which are usually broad-leaved), which lose their leaves in the fall and winter seasons. These trees contain vessels that serve as a transport mechanism for water, and exhibit pores on their surface which results in more intricate and interesting looking grains patterns in these *****, depending on the pore size. This characteristic makes them the choice ***** for use in woodworking. Hardwood trees are slower growing than softwoods, which contributes to their higher density, making these ***** stronger and more durable. This property lends to their use in furniture making, cabinetry, flooring, and other construction applications where longevity of service is of primary importance. Hardwood lumber is generally more expensive than softwood lumber, driven by a more limited supply from the slower rate of tree growth and the value of the strength of the material.

      Softwood Lumber Grades

The ********************************** (*******************) serves as the body that developed and maintains the ********************************* PS 20 under auspices of the U.S. ********** of ******************** majority use case for softwood lumber is for what is characterized as construction lumber, which *** be further subdivided into stress-graded,nonstress-graded, and appearance lumber. Appearance lumber is judged mainly by the overall visual quality, whereas stress-graded or nonstress-graded lumber is more concerned with the structural integrity of the wood. Retail lumberyards typically sell nonstress-graded and appearance lumber, which is collectively referred to as yard lumber. Grading is done after the drying and surfacing operations are completed and is accomplished based on both the size and number of defects appearing on the better side of the piece.

I first worked with Integrity Fencing Company in 2020 to do a full new fence around our property, just over 1 acre. They did a tremendous job, including recommending thicker/heavier posts and beams out by the road and smaller (and less expensive) in the back yard where the visual effect is much less impactful. They did a tremendous job with installation and we never had any part of the fence fail. Then in 2022 we worked with Integrity Fencing Company again to build a "privacy fence" to block out an annoying newly built home right behind ours. Again, they came up with a great design concept and the installation is solid. There were a few boards that shrank after some months in the sun. Integrity came back out quickly and replaced them and re-stained them at no charge.I love the quality of their work and the quality of their customer service and plan on using ********************** again for the home we just bought.

Zero Stars for Zero Integrity. We hired Integrity Fencing for a fence at our new home in March 2023. They installed on March 17. By the time they stained it 2 weeks later, every single of the 4x4 and 4x6 fence posts had split vertically from top to bottom. In total, this was 2 of the 4x6s and 9 of the 4x4s for 11 posts. It took them until October 2023 and 4-5 phone and email follow-*** from us for them to come back to replace them under warranty. They explained it was a "bad batch of wood." They said it took them that long to get back to us (6+ months) b/c they had a busy summer season. In October, it took them 2 trips to complete the warranty repair because the first crew did not bring enough posts. They did not stain the fence when they repaired the posts. It is January **** now, and they still have not finished staining the fence (photos attached) but have sent us repeated invoices without a timeline for finishing the project. Since October 5, We have followed up with them 4 times by text, phone call, and email to which they responded once initially that they would send someone "soon." Then, no one ever came or got back in touch, and they haven't responded to any other follow-***. Now, they've called to say they were going to start sending us to debt collection, even though they have not completed the work they are invoicing for. Also, there is still one severely split 4x6 that they said they would repair with epoxy but they never have, and it's splitting more now in the winter. It has been over 10 months since they initially installed the fence and have not completed it but they keep invoicing us. This company's communication, organization, service, performance and "integrity" are wholly inadequate. Strongly do not recommend.
