    This business exploits its residents (as seen on the news), and does not take any accountability especially when their employees make mistakes. They refused to help pay for a replacement when their staff signed for, and lost my package in their office. They notified that my package was there, and in under 2 hours I was there to claim it, and it wasnt there anymore. I explained that the retailer couldnt send a replacement because they retired the product, and this item was a Christmas present for somebody, so I had to order it from another retailer for $78 more than what I initially spent. I think Ascentia should have paid that difference, but I never even got anything as much as an apology. The staff is unhelpful, and irresponsible. They had me and a few others without a trash can for 2 months after somebody crashed them with their vehicle even when I was calling regularly to see when I would get that trashcan. Their staff lied and said they ordered trash cans from waste management, but when I called waste management, there was no order in place from Ascentia or *************. Though they resolved this issue by giving us a beat up trashcan from a vacant lot, they still had us without a trash can for 2 months, and they also lied which is unacceptable and pretty unethical. Ascentia does not seem to care that their employees act this way either.

    I honestly do not like to do any of this and make bad reviews. But I have been asking for three months now to get my roof fixed because its been leaking. *******, one of the managers I can mention there has been several, but one of the managers has tried to solve the issue by sending the maintenance maintenance guy to try to replace the shingles that needed to be replaced. They obviously flew off because this poor maintenance guy had no experience. ******* is no longer here and there is a new manager again. I brought it up to her attention. I have several emails going back-and-forth about. When are you going to fix my roof? When are you going to fix my roof? When are you going to fix my roof? I then went out of my own way to ask a roofing company to come and check it out. They gave me an estimate. to ask a roofing company to come and check it out. They gave me a estimate and detail and detail stating that there has already been mold, going down the roof and if we continue to let it go, its just only going to get worse. I then sent this to the manager. She stated she was going to find somebody. Three months later I am still waiting. We have more water spots. We are always getting sick. I am ready to call social services because I know theres mold but the issue still has not been fixed. They should be an emergency. The manager now asked if I wanted to clean a house next-door and when I asked her what was going on with my roof she never responded. I am always emailing her but I never get a response. I need this issue fixed. I feel like I should not be paying rent until this issue was fixed and there is more issues going on in the household but the roof is the main concern. And I know after looking after the laws, I should not be paying rent until this issue was fixed, and Ive been paying still even though this issue has not been fixed.

    Staff: The Maintenance men are just there for the paycheck and it shows in their work. The office staff don't care and have very entitled attitudes like they are better then the residents. Only 20% of phone calls are answered and its a 50/50 chance of getting the phone call returned. BEWARE they do not take care of the yards! The first year there my yard had CHIGGARS!!!!! I had roaches 2x's. You have to fight off ants every year and I had a BRAND NEW unit. I have never had an issue with bugs in my life, I'm a very clean, OCD person. You must remember to call before the 1 day a month they spray for pests or else its marked for the next visit. I had to start buying pesticides for my small yard. They shut off the water ALL THE **** for about 2-4 hours at a time. The community plumbing has issues often. I noticed large rent increases. In 2 years they had increased rent by 20% (over $200).Frequent weekend parties, Parked cars block the street or make it dangerous. Guests must park at a parking lot, no parking on the street, unregistered cars must have guest pass (is only good until the office closed, the towing company will tow whoever they want). No two homes had the same Parking. Most were 2 but I've seen some that could fit 6 cars. Some neighbors park in the grass (against the community rules) yet never towed. When you move out expect to owe money. They do not explain upfront or in the lease how much they charge. Roughly 200$- final utilities, $250- flat rate cleaning fee. Every unit should be hotel industry clean when you move out. If not your paying.(Property mangers words) $400 painting fee, they will discount if you attempt to fix / paint. These are all SURPRISE charges. If your counting right now were at over $850 just in basic move out items. This doesn't include anything else. Your already at a $350 bill and these are (mostly) Guaranteed charges. I would not recommend living in this community and will not be a return renter.
