March 26 2025, I had fallen onto hard times and needed to cancel my subscription with Gaiam *** before the due date March 27 2025. I put in a request to cancel my subscription and I was given detailed instructions on how to do so. I did all steps and the one option I needed to click to cancel wasn't there. There is literally no way to cancel. A person should not have to jump thru hoops to cancel a subscription. I went to virtual assistant and all that did was send me an email saying it can take up to 36hr before I can hear from anyone meanwhile Gaiam *** has tried to collect a subscription fee 3 times already getting a no sufficient fund notice. That's a $30 bank fee for bouncing a check or retrieval payment without funds in the bank which can put a person in the whole. Gaiam *** says you can cancel your subscription but there is no option to cancel. I think that is bad for business. I liked the program but I can't afford it right now. This place.of business are scam artist. If I can cancel at anytime without a contract I should be able to do so without Gaiam *** using trickery to force people to stay. I had intention to Renew it when my finances are back in order but this whole debacle turned me off the program. If Gaiam *** keeps this up I'm it's going to loose valuable customers.Initial Complaint

When I subscribed to the service from a ******** Advertisement in January of 2024, it was for a discounted pre paid 12 month service agreement. No issues there. I figured I would try it. Well, I hated it.. Nothing new was on the platform. Therefore, I never really used the service. Here and there I would try, but it just wasn't for me. My streaming tine over 12 months was likely less than 5 hours. Rhey can certainly see that. Fine. Still, no issue. It's not their fault I don't like the programming. Fast forward to January of 2025 and I see a charge of another $128.85 from Gaia. I contact them the same day the charge went through and advised them that I never signed a contract for auto renewal. I did not even know that was a possibility because of the prepaid year I signed up for on ********. It was not advertised that way. Nowhere did I see that I would be charged again without my consent. They did not even send me a notification in December that the plan was going to automatically renew. I did not even see anywhere in my account where the billing information was saved from the previous year. When I contacted them to cancel immediately on the SAME DAY it renewed, they basically said nope. You are pre paid for the year and they don't give refunds. So, I have prepaid for a service that I have not even received, yet they can't refund me? What!?! What a bait and switch and so typical of corporations !!!! They can see my less than 5 hours streaming time over 12 months. They can see I clearly was not usuing their service. They can see I contacted them IMMEDIATELY on the DAY OF RENEWAL. A one month subscription is substantially less and I am not entitled to a refund of a 1 year prepaid service when they offer month to month plans?? They stole money from me. I did not give them consent, verbal or written, for an auto renewal and it never said it anywhere that I could find. Otherwise, it seems like I would have just taken my credit card information out of the account.Initial Complaint

i have been charged $108.24 to renew for a year but have been locked out of my account. there is no customer service to deal with this due to no phone service and the chat people give me the run around and when asked for proof i can not attach my document in the chat box. they have attempted to try to charge for over a month and it cleared this week. why would i not be either notified about this or the sensible thing to do would be to stop trying! when it cleared and i was charged i went to use my service and found out it was locked! They are a business promoting wellness and spiritual education but run it like all other businesses with no customer service and no apologies to the mistakes. I want a refundInitial Complaint

I signed up for an **** subscription through Apple. I noticed a few months later I was also being charged by Gaia.com *****. I thought Id reach out to customer service and it would get straightened out as to why I was being charged by **** twice and oddly two different amounts for my 1 subscription. They have no customer service number. I found an email listed on their ******** and emailed there 3 times. I also submitted over 4 request tickets on their help bot. I never heard back from them one time and I dont think they have anyone following up helping customers like me. I just wanted refunded for being double charged and ensured I wont be charged again by Gaia.com. I was able to get the subscription cancelled via Apple quickly and without a hassle but thats because Apple has great customer service that I wish Gaia would noteCustomer Answer

Unsubscribed to Gaia.com years ago. I cancelled the subscription years ago. Recently when I was analyzing my credit card bills I saw that they were still charging me. I have been unable to get a refund. Customer support indicates that my account is under a different email address that I dont own so I was getting scammed. ******** refuses to provide a refund.Initial Complaint

In June 2020 I purchased a Performance Dry Grip yoga mat from Gaiam, Inc. It cost approximately USD *****. I use the mat daily and have cared for it using the instructions provided. The mats top layer is now disintegrating and coming off in small particles. I requested a replacement since the mats have a lifetime guarantee against defects. The request was denied and the company is calling it "normal wear & tear" which is not covered under their guarantee. I have corresponded multiple times including photos and explaining both the circumstances as well as citations of their guarantee. Their guarantee states:"Professional Quality: Our performance line of professional quality products are designed by *****, for yogis, and created to inspire mindful movement. These products are designed with care and attention to high-quality materials, thoughtful design, and durable construction. Whether for personal or professional use, these products are built to last. Find the perfect mat or accessory thats right for you and shop the rest of our Performance Line."I reiterated that in the web site they boast "high-quality materials", "durable construction", and "these products are built to last". None of these traits seem to be evident in the mat I purchased.Even when I pointed out their quality claims to them they refused to replace the mat.Initial Complaint

I am rejecting this response because: they lock the link that I had established back in March to watch *******************. He was the only one I really like to watch along with all the videos. Then all the sudden that link was no longer good on my computer so I thought maybe it was just a glitch for a day and though Ive been having trouble ever since Ive been emailing giving on the little chat boxes in the bottom and Im not giving any thing from the employee about wheres my $75 for March? It recognizes me and then says my account is in active it wants me to re-up for a new fee. Nobody has responded to me that is not a true statement by the company. It could be true what that other company is saying if it is the is the sales store for Gaia.. theres no live streaming anything on that business person told me that somehow they split up or something so there was trouble there and she felt my pain and she heard other complaints about how they do not respond if they would like to contact me, I will provide my contact information I was told by the Better Business Bureau not put too much information on this message board. I understand or two different companies using the same name to some degree.
Sincerely,

I ordered gaia.com service May 6, 2023. I was supposed to receive a 7 day free trial, but I was billed immediately. I was going on my account on May 30 and I canceled my subscription. When I canceled my subscription I was BILLED AGAIN. I was only supposed to be billed on May 13, which would've been after the 7 day free trial. I was billed on May 6 as well as May 30th. I have tried to contact gaia.com support numerous times since the incirrect billing and have been completely shut off via the live chat. I have the emailed transcript if it needs ti be seen. I don't mind paying for the first charge, but I will not pay the second charge. Also, I ordered a new card in between the two times I was billed so I'm not exactly sure how I as even billed the second time. I would like my money back fir the second charge.and on my account the website had the billing dates incorrect I also have my bank statements to show the accurate billing dates. Thank you.Initial Complaint

I initially signed up to gaia.com for a yearly subscription price of $125. Recently I was going over my cc statement and noticed that I have been being charged $14.99 a month by a company named gaiam. Then a noticed something really wierd, some of the $125 payments have been taken by ****, some have been taken by ****. I also noticed some of the $14.99 payments (taken on the same day of the month, but never by both companies) were also charged by ****************************** I contacted **** and asked them what's going on with this and they basically gave me a hard wall, not listening to my explaination that payments are interchangeable coming from both companies.... They told me Gaiam is another company and that I should contact them.Upon Googling these two names I found this wikipedia article: **************************************************************************************************************************************. Which basically states the two are the same company. So somehow this company is being very sneaky and I believe they might have made a mistake and showed their hand by accidently billing me under both names but at the end of the day I've been being charged $14.99/m for 3 years that I didn't authorize, on top of the $125/y I did authorize and all they can say is it's a different company. This is extremely fishy and a complete fraud in my opinion. Watch out!
