    On 12/02 my wife took her vehicle to the store because her left rear tire was losing air. She was told that due to the tires age (6 years) by ******************************* (Service Manager) it could not be looked at or repaired. Told we needed new tires. The tires we needed (three-peak mountain) were not in stock. Was told that the tires could be ordered, but would not be in until 12/11. Moved forward with the order based on the delivery date of 12/11. The order required a $250 deposit. Checked on the order on 12/08, and was told the tires would arrive on 12/11. Called on 12/11 and was told the tires were not in, but there was one more delivery and to call back. Called back at 6 PM (1 hour before closing) and no answer. Tried multiple times. Called 12/12 and ****** needed to check the order and call back. ****** called back and stated there was a backorder issue and the tires would be in 6-7 days (maybe more with weekends). ***************** that I did not feel safe waiting any longer for the tires and wanted a refund. He said that I could not get a refund and my only option was to lose my deposit or wait. He said he would check to see if he could find a used tire to put on the vehicle until the tires arrived and call back. That was 6 days ago and there has been no call back or communication. Out of concern for my wife's safety, we moved forward with obtaining tires from another retailer. I am seeking a refund of my $250 deposit. I made the deposit based on the 12/11 delivery date that was provided by ******. That delivery date was not honored, nor was I ever contacted and notified of the backorder. Waiting ***** days or even more is unreasonable for tires, especially when there is an issue with the current tire. I should have been notified of the backorder issue with the additional delay and given the choice to proceed or cancel the order. There has been no communication with this store unless I am initiating it. Average wait time is 30 minutes. This is horrible customer service.

    Deposits on special order tire are required. When we order speciality tires and the customer decides they no longer want the ********************** and we have to send them back we are required to pay the shipping as well as a restocking fee. Therefore it has become necessary to take a deposit when ordering tires to prevent us from having to absorb the associated costly return. deposits are non refundable.
