Upon entering Pioneer's debt resolution program I was told that credit union accounts are addressed first since it can take more time to negotiate a settlement. This did not occur with my credit union account which was addressed last instead of prior to any of the other creditors listed in my program. I was consistently misinformed on the status during account reviews. There were also many times when there were excessive hold times to where I could not reach a representative for updates. Pioneer allowed the balance of this account to more than double to over $20,000. I did not become aware of this until a credit report review last year where this debt was reported twice by the credit union and current creditor for a combined total of over $40,000. Since there was a breach of fiduciary duties owed to me, management was to consider consuming at least any settlement amount above the initial amount due at the time I joined the program. I was offered a refund of my service fees (less than $2000) more than a year after escalating which is minimal compared to the amount requested by the creditor. To get the service fee refund I would have to sign an agreement that states this is the final resolution of all disputes between myself and Pioneer on this account. I was informed in writing to not engage in discussions with creditors or collection agencies so there was no way for me to know the status of this account unless provided by Pioneer. Creditors were notified to send all correspondence, questions and offers related to my account to Pioneer and to cease all calls made to me. Questions were not answered in a timely manner and they did not negotiate with my creditors with my best interests as their top priority which Pioneer claims to do in their Welcome Packet along with stating that they are a team of experienced and caring professionals.
