These are all the issues I've had with this property management group since I bought 2 years ago:1) My reserved parking spot is constantly parked in because it's next to the visitors parking spot. I don't care if they are other owners or people living with people in this area. IT'S MY SPOT!!!!!! I should be able to call towing on them and not have people park in my spot whenever they want and I just have to wait till they move. I literally own this townhome. 2) The tree being cut down: I put in a work order about the tree being cut and then when it actually came time to do it, nobody was notified and my entire patio was COVERED in wood chips and had to clean up everything from the removal. 3) The pool hasn't been open all year. Due to the amazing vendors we chose to work with. 4) The sprinkler system next to my house all of sudden stops working and the grass is dying. What happened to maintenance? Or do we just do things once they're broken?5) The gutter vendor put a physical gutter through the middle of my patio and I had to request for it to be moved, which they did, but again ZERO NOTICE ABOUT WHEN THEY WERE ARRIVING. Then got scared when my dog started barking like someone was in the house, but there was just people in my patio without my knowledge. Then had to listen to drilling for the next few hours while I was working from home. Then on top of it, the gutters don't even correctly drain water from the top of the townhomes and causes puddles of water to form at the foundation. 6) The mailboxes were broken into and I had to put in a work order to receive any information about it. So far, they are the exact opposite of who I would want maintaining a property. Go far away from anything with them.MSI, LLC

Many (most) of the issues you cite are actually with the board of your community, not MSI. As such, the board is preparing a direct reply to you as this appears to be identical (minus the profanity, thank you for that) to the post you made on the community portal. -*******************, President.Review fromNicole H

*** could not pay fees due to construction company for sub par work done on balconies, now my home is under the risk of having a lien placed on it. NOT AT ANY FAULT BY ME, the homeowner. I am simply the victim in all of this. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE management of money, and of managing the properties, and those who live in those properties. In my 8 years of living in my home, I have NEVER had any issues with the *** until MSI and new management took over. They are now overlooking the simplest of requests and telling us they are having financial hardship. Very disappointing to say the least.MSI, LLC

******, we are certainly sympathetic to your situation (shared by your whole community), but the issue predates our arrival as your management company, and relates to decisions made along the way by elected members of your HOA board (who make all the decisions). We are only the messenger for the messages you are receiving, we do not choose the directions being taken. I can understand lashing out at MSI since HOA does not have a BBB account, of course, but this review is misplaced and amounts to killing the messenger for that message. No matter the management company in place at this point, this issue does not look any different and the solution will require your board and your community working together regardless. When we have no choice but to suggest that the association is experiencing financial hardship and is unable to address certain issues as a result, that is truly the case, not an excuse. Funds are required to complete repairs, and if the association does not have those funds, maintenance and repairs cant always be completed. -*******************, President.Review fromBette E

I am filing this complaint with the Better Business Bureau against MSI, LLC located at ************************************************************************* - The ****************************** representative. MSI, LLC charged me a late fee ($20 !) and interest for *** ***** 2023. Prior to this, they failed to send me a coupon book at the beginning of the year, nor did they send me any bill as a reminder of my ***************.In years past I have written a check for the entire 12 months when I received the coupon booklet. Why does MSI, LLC think it's appropriate to charge me a late fee and $0.43 interest before first billing me ? This morning I am writing one check for the 12 months *************** ($540) and a separate check for $20.43. I would like check number ***** ($20.43) returned to me uncashed as an expression of good will and good policy.MSI, LLC

This client was mailed a coupon payment book at the start of the fiscal year for this association along with all members of her community with the same payment obligation. Of course, we cant be responsible for the mail not properly delivering or the book being misplaced after delivery. The decision to wave late fees, or not, rests with the elected board of this community, not with MSI. They are aware of the request and circumstances and we await their response. -*******************, President.Review fromDanna W

Our problem started with an MSI employee mishandling the record of change form sent to MSI from our ************* upon closing on our FOCO home. Because our primary address was never put into MSIs data bank we didnt know our *************** were late for 8 months! . As investment property owners sometimes in other states HOAs roll a years worth of fees into the mortgage. When we never got any hoa payment invoice we speculated the dues were part of our mortgage. 8 months after closing, our prop. Mgr got a call from our tenants who intercepted a letter at our investment home. This began our nightmare in working towards paying our delinquent hoa fees, late fees, etc. Our delinquent status was sent to Altitude Law. Working with the law firm & MSI was extremely challenging. My ************** calls were often not answered at all or 2-3 weeks after I sent them. We found the law firm & MSI work ************************* to be very poor with each other & us. We were not allowed to pay MSI directly as the Law firm & MSI delayed this resolution. Finally after putting a personal attorney for us on standby an MSI employee worked directly with Altitude law to clear our ledgers. MSI admitted their staff made the mistake by not entering our home address and surprised us by covering our attorney ********** late fees! This one employee made an effort to clear our ledger but it took more than 3 months since we first found out our dues were late! Now we have serious reservations about retiring in this ******************* home. Its abundantly clear MSI, Altitude **** *********** arent clear with each others work processs and their chaos greatly impacts the homeowners!! No one at Altitude even knew who was handling our case initially and until we got through to a compassionate MSI, Accts receivable technician we thought the only way to pay and clear our ledger was to hire our own attorney! MSI serves ***** communities and should do much better w/ homeowners!!MSI, LLC

Your primary issue is with the title company, not MSI, for failing to pass on your mailing address outside of the home you were purchasing. However, ultimately it is your responsibility to assure your *** assessments are being paid timely, and no one elses as those fees and the *** were clearly called out to you at the time of closing and on the settlement statement. They are no different than a mortgage payment. Negatively reviewing everyone else possible in the loop is not an equitable response to your failure to timey pay your assessments. The law firm associated with this community made a decision to waive some of their fees, and that decision had nothing to do with MSI or any error, simply a good will gesture on their part. -*******************, President.Review fromDiane C

I have tried to resolve an issue with this company that manages our ***. I received a letter and a ledger sheet that I owed over a thousand dollars in late fees etc. I called immediately when I received it and was referred to a law firm which refused to talk to me because the association is not compliant with the laws. Keep in mind the *** fees had been paid with a check date of 3/15/22 and I did not receive any communication again until 8/16/2022 to which I promptly replied. I can not get any resolution and they keep adding fees.MSI, LLC

The active legal collection of your delinquent account is on hold temporarily with association legal counsel until new polices are adopted by the board that comply with newly passed legislation. It is your responsibility to assure that the association has current contact information for you to include proper address. Several attempts were made to provide in person service of the associations collection action before proceeding, although successful service is not required to go forward. -*******************, President.Diane C

These were all added without my knowledge. I paid our dues on March 15th for the entire year.MSI, LLC

*****, the association does indeed consider you to be in arrears and initiated the collection effort as a result. Once the statute compliant polices are in place (shortly), you will need to have a conversation with counsel to resolve it. -*******************, President.Review fromRich V
