I am filing a complaint against Apple Aire ***************** regarding a code violation in their HVAC installation at my property in ******, ***** June 2023, Apple Aire installed an HVAC system at my residence. Recently, my licensed electrician inspected the system and found that the outdoor A/C unit is not installed the required 3 feet away from the electrical panel, which is a potential violation of the National Electrical ********** clearance requirements. Now to upgrade the electric panel I need to move HVAC 3ft away(costing more than 3000$)I initially contacted Apple Aire in November 2024 via phone and visited their office in person to report the issue. Despite my repeated attempts, they have failed to respond or take any corrective action. This improper installation poses a serious safety and compliance risk, and their lack of response is unacceptable.I have attached:Invoice of the original installation Photo evidence of the incorrect placement and measurements I am requesting that Apple Aire correct this violation immediately by relocating the unit to meet code requirements. I appreciate the BBBs assistance in helping resolve this issue and look forward to your guidance on the next steps.

Do not hire this company or let them set foot in your home. Their employees stole items from my home on 7/12 when they completed a terrible ac install on my home. It is 3 weeks later and they have not been replaced. They installed a system without proper evaluation that can't keep the house under 74 when it is over 90 out. They are cheap and the workers are not skilled or knowledgeable enough to do the job properly. It is almost a month later and they have left me high and dry with a improper install and ac that doesn't work properly. They are not denying the fact that things were stolen from my home. They are simply debating the amount. They are so clueless they don't see a reason to request more for my trouble. They want it to be dollar for dollar when they cost me to fail a rental permit home inspection and left me without a breaker to work my hot tub. It also does not take a genius to realize that I can't rent a property that is waiting almost a month for them to get back and fix anything. That is $1,000s of dollars that they cost me. Also, you can't put a dollar amount on the stress it has caused my family and I, however, they have no problem saying it is worth nothing and they can treat people however they want. They did have to come to my house 3 times. Once to do the **** poor install. Once to verify said **** poor install and then again almost a month th later to fix the agreed **** poor install. They would have had to come out a 4th time to repair sheetrock they left damaged and didn't repair but I can not allow them in my home again. Tough situation to be for $1,000s spent. They did offer me $200 after over 3 weeks of waiting and I countered asking for 400 because I dont want them back in my house to finish fixing the sheetrock hole they left and they now refuse to communicate with me.

This simply is not true. Apple Aire has been in communication with **** along every step of the way and in several instances, it was him who failed to call back us back to provide his schedule availability for us to send out our install manager to address his concerns we have the attempted calls and voicemails to provide documentation.

Then, **** made several attempts to claim that we stole a $150 special GFI circuit breaker from his panel which upon checking the pictures that were taken prior to his install it was in fact a $14 ******* breaker installed in a Square D panel. At this point we still were making the effort to come to a resolution with the customer and asked for him to provide receipts of his purchase for reimbursement, which he failed to provide to Apple Aire and the electrical contractors that we used to connect the electrical to his new A/C.

We offered to have his drywall repaired by a professional drywall company, he refused. We offered him monetary compensation of $200 he refused and asked for $400 without cause. **** had left a similar review on ******, which has now been taken down following our reply.

**** makes claims that the house will not cool below ******************************************** the home and our install manager was performing work at the property on a 97 degree day at the house was cooling at 72 degrees, which is where the thermostat was set to.

Again we have the phone recording, pictures and text messages as well as emails to be able to provide any supporting documentation needed to show that we have been more than fair and transparent in dealing with this customer.

I am rejecting this response because:

Appleaire lies through their teeth. They made zero attempts to contact me until after almost a month when I had to complain multiple times. I 100% did live at the house at the time of install and for the entire month following that, when they refused to take any action. That is when my wife, my child and I could not sleep or be comfortable any day it was in the 90s. The unit was unable to cool itself enough to turn off. It would run 24/7 and never shut down causing unnecessary stress on my furnace do to their poor install. Due to their terrible install and lack of timely followup I failed a rental license inspection due to the theft of my carbon monoxide detector. That caused me valuable time and money. Then, due to that delay and them taking so long to address it I had to wait weeks to list my property for rental costing me $1,000s. I had moved out by the time they actually came back to fix anything a month later. The house still can not cool properly on a 90 plus degree day. No, I would not let their employees back to fix unnecessary damage to my sheetrock after they stole from my house. Especially,  if I can't be there to watch their every move. They take zero accountability about and lie about everything. My post is still very alive and well on ****** because it is relevant and there are many other similar complaints. Another lie of theirs. So, yes for all those reason $200 was not enough for me to look the other way. I dare them to actually provide any documentation saying otherwise as that is all lies as well. Unless I am properly compensated I will continue to warn people about your business.

    Gratefully,
