      Sensible Auto is a scam. It safety’s out good UNTIL you actually need them. I financed a car thru sensible 9 mos ago that ended up breaking down after 9 mos. Sensible installed a dealer switch on my car that fried my ECU in my 09 ******* ******** The car was taken to the mechanic that installed the switch, who reported to me that 20 fuses were blown, ignition switch failure, & ECU dead. All direct contacts to the dealer shutoff switch. The whole process of losing my car because the mechanic told me after a month of not being able to repair car, to walk away, call my bank, & do a voluntary repo because the car was no good. I googled sensible auto and discovered they paid out $733k in 2019 to car owners who financed through them because it was discovered they APPROVE LOANS with shady dealers for cars that are known to be defected and otherwise would be denied by most banks. Now here I am no car, and debt to a lender and mechanic who are ultimately working together at this point. Because now my car is hidden by mechanic and no one seems to know where it is

      After investigating this review, Sensible Auto was notified that the vehicle was located at ****** Auto Repair Shop on 12/19/2023. Sensible Auto was misinformed about the whereabouts of the vehicle as the borrower advised that the vehicle was at the selling dealer as of 11/9/23. On 12/26/23, Sensible Auto contacted the repair shop and was informed that the borrower dropped off the vehicle on 11/2/23 with no allegations as to why the vehicle was not starting. The borrower consented to a $720 diagnostics fee which was not paid to the repair shop. The borrower was informed that the vehicle needed a body control module and since then the borrower has not been in contact or cooperating with the repair shop. There’s currently an unpaid bill that is incurring storage fees at a rate of $50 a day.

      The worse loan company every I have been calling them for help to get a deferment because I’m out of work due to my doctors orders and all they keep asking is for money I’m a single mother of 2 and this is Christmas time I don’t have a income at the time I’m waiting for my disability to kick in but they won’t even help me I been literally begging calling them everyday asking for help keep telling me to give them more money every time I call I’m out here borrowing money just to give them til my money kick in from disability every time I ask them for help they ask for money I never seen a car loan company not try to help you when you really need it don’t even want to leave them a star but you have to. To leave a review they don’t even deserve 1 star horrible loan company but quick to come repo your car over one missed payment but won’t work with you when you really need it

      This is absurb…I made all my payments on time to wake up with my car repoed…Now I have to take off work to figure this out.. I will be contacting my personal attorney and shut this business down , I truly believe they work with crooked dealerships and the CFPB WILL BE INVESTIGATING…

      After further research, the borrower called in on 11/11/2023 to request a voluntary repossession. The vehicle was repossessed on 11/14/2023 but was released shortly after to the co-borrower.

      This company is the sorriest company I’ve ever dealt with in making payments on a vehicle. They repo’d my vehicle the day after I made a payment because of a late payment that I owe but paid a little extra to make the balance go down. Then when I tried to call the next day I couldn’t talk to anyone and left numerous of messages. I go online to find out that the amount is steady goin up. How tf im going to pay the amount if it keeps going up? Then I’m trying to find out where’s my vehicle but I can’t get a hold to anyone. I need to get my personal **** out the ******* vehicle!! I wouldn’t recommend no one to this company.

      My daughter car was repo'd due to lack of payment because being in and out of the hospital, but needless to say that we had called Sensible Auto and was told exactly what to do in regards to getting the car back and we did exactly just that. When we called to get the info as to where to pick the vehicle up, she was told that she had to pay her car note in full because her bill had cycled, I stated to them that she had everything in yesterday as instructed and the rep stated that because there was a mishap on the insurance (which needed to be UPDATED with an address) that now she had to pay the car note and we asked to speak with a supervisor and we got Joseph, who was a little unprofessional explaining to me that we were told that if everything was not in yesterday that the charge for the next billing cycle would stick to the repo fee. I explained to him that everything was turned in YESTERDAY and all that they needed was an address on the insurance form, so she has to pay the extra because the insurance form needed to be UPDATED with an address - Wooooooooooow!!
      I hate that my daughter even went the extra mile to get the car back because this company is petty asf and want to justify in the dumbest of ways how they just f'd you over by not being completely honest and giving you the run around. I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy because they are the devil draped in auto loan clothing. I hope that they get enough complaints to change their deceitful ways.

      Purchased my vehicle June 30 they made me purchase a warranty that wasn’t active until july 7, aug, 4th my vehicle started having problems I contacted the dealer, the warranty company and the loan company. They all avoided helping me month after month, until October. The vehicle has been repaired with warranty and I had to pay 700 out of pocket. My account fell behind $269 and I’ve let them know through the whole situation and today I set a payment up to catch up and their threatening a repo after all I went through it’s truly sad I wouldn’t skip payments if the truck was working. I hope we can resolve this peacefully.

      The reason for this lettter is to compliment "Ashley" from their inside sales team. Ive been in the auto industry for over 30 years. I have met alot of people to say the least. I have NEVER met anyone that cares as much as she does. Ashley is extremely professional. The hardest part of the auto industry is the finanacing. Ashley makes is SO EASY. She cares so very much...... i am so proud to have written this letter for her. She deserves all the kudos in the world for the job she does at Sensible Auto Lending.. If any auto dealers want a great bank to deal with.....GO TO SENSIBLE AUTO LENDING..........Ask for Ashley.......

      I bought this car in 2021, never had a problem until this year. They send me emails saying I'm behind when it's automatically taken out every Friday. I have bank statements and credit reports proving it was. First they say it was because insurance coverage, I proved I had insurance multiple times over multiple months. Then it was it wasn't taken out, but it shows in their system it was. They always say my address is incorrect then turn around after i tell them we hadn't moved, it suddenly shows the address as correct. I'm in danger of repo and I have already contacted them multiple times just to get the run around and told I have to pay almost 300 for something they can't tell me as to why. First it was the wrong insurance, then the wrong address, then the insurance expired but it wasn't even the right insurance.
