We have had Culligan water delivery since 2022. I have warned them many times about their bottles leaking and they have done nothing to fix this issue. This time, our most recent delivery, one of the water bottles leaked all over our wood floor and warped it! This is the 4th time a water bottle has leaked and this time the damage is irreversible. I want retribution for the damage to our floor.

      Details:
Culligan Water has repeatedly contacted me regarding a billing charge that is incorrect. Despite multiple attempts to dispute the charge and provide clarification, the company continues to pursue payment aggressively. Their actions have caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience.

The following facts are relevant.  The water softener was assembled in my home and charged to my **** card on a monthly basis. This worked well for about one year when my wife and I decided to sell our home.  I moved out in July 2024. In August 2024 the home sold to a new owner. I contacted Culligan and told them to cancel my service and come pick up the equipment.

I called Culligan a total of 4 times to remove their equipment. I then continued to receive monthly charges of $144.52. After receiving 4 bills I contacted my credit card company to dispute the charges.

They continued to bill new charges despite the fact that I do not live or own this home. My daughter called and spoke with the biller and the issue appeared to be resolved. I had the bank reject these bills which approximated near $1,000.  The reality is that they continue to heap on charges and even now send dunning letters to my new apartment/home despite over 6 telephone calls!!
This is not the way to treat good customers especially a client of 25 years

      Desired Resolution:

      I request that Culligan Water:

Cease all harassment and collection efforts related to this erroneous charge.
Investigate and correct the billing issue.
Provide written confirmation that the matter has been resolved and that no further action will be taken against me.
Reimbursement of money taken involuntarily from my **** account.

I am writing to address the ongoing billing issue that has persisted despite my repeated efforts to resolve it since September.
I HAVE CONTACTED CULLIGAN MULTIPLE TIMES VIA EMAIL, THROUGH THE BILLING PORTAL, AND BY PHONE CALL ALONG WITH VOICEMAIL MESSAGES SINCE SEPTEMBER TO CANCEL MY ACCOUNT AND THEY CONTINUE TO BILL ME.
It all started when I scheduled my yearly service (which I paid for and never received), I advised them I NEEDED a morning appointment. They told me they cannot promise any specific time, but they would request I get the first appointment - they told me they'd do this at least twice and could never accommodate. I had to reschedule numerous times, as they never put my appointment at the top and they expected me to let a stranger into my home without my presence - something I would NEVER and should have never been expected to do.

I spoke with multiple individuals, along with multiple emails and portal message to Culligan of Danbury during this period since September. It was confirmed to me that any billing issues had been resolved, salt deliveries were canceled, and my balance was $0 on November 4th, 2024, by an employee named Sue. Despite this, I have now received another bill for services I neither approved nor requested.

I have reviewed ****** account. Her account was cancelled effective 10/31/24. Her monthly bills for Nov and Dec 2024 were credited and she has zero balance due. All delivery contracts have been cancelled. Per her request of no further contact from Culligan, I am hoping this information constitutes her notification. If she has any issues going forward, she can contact me directly at ###-###-####.

I am writing to follow up on a previous complaint (#********) I previously filed regarding Danbury Culligan in Danbury, CT.  As part of the resolution, this business was supposed to show a zero balance on my account and cease all contact with me. Unfortunately, they have not honored this agreement.

Despite the resolution, Danbury Culligan continues to email and bill me for services I neither received nor requested. I have made it clear that I do not wish to be contacted further by this business, and yet the communication and false billing persist.

This ongoing behavior is unacceptable, unprofessional, and extremely frustrating. I am requesting that the BBB take further action to ensure this business immediately stops all billing and contact, and that any balance falsely shown on my account is removed once and for all.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your prompt response.

      Regards,

      ***** ********

Culligan Danbury not only over charged me for items that I did not order, the took the money directly out of my account. I have tried for two weeks to get them to return the money I am owed and was told I would have it back in my account last week. It was over 100 dollars and for months now this has been a constant problem and battle and outside of one person, I haven’t been able to get in touch with anyone. They have since sent me another incorrect bill and based on the issues I have had with them for months I was supposed to get two free months. At this point I want the money they wrongly took out of my account.

      Customer Answer

      Date: 10/09/2024

No one has gotten back to me about my refund. I was told over two weeks ago they would be refunding my account from the money they took out for products that don’t get delivered to me. Times are hard and honestly having $109 bucks gone from my account, it’s a hardship. I can’t get anyone on the phone and the woman originally communicating with me via email hasn’t responded to me in over a week.

      Customer Answer

      Date: 11/04/2024

Culligan is now trying to charge me an additional amount for charges that are not even for my account. I was told due to the nightmare that had been I would not be charged for November or December and now I get a bill for over 160 that isn’t even for me. I had no labor costs at my house. They have also not given me back the last amount they charged and owed back to me in the amount of 106 dollars that they wrongly hit my account for. I have reached out multiple times to no avail. I would like my money back and for them to not charge me again for the wrong amount.
