We paid 4,729 ($500 deposit 7/27/2023 and balance $4,229 9/7/2023) to Nawas International for a religious trip to ****** and ****** for a religious pilgrimage.

The trip was to happen from 11/28 through 12/8/2023.

However, the trip was canceled due to war and terrorist activities breaking out in the area on October 7th 2023.

I requested a full refund because I would have taken the trip had the area not been affected by war.

Nawas has refused to refund my money. They offered a credit for use toward other religious travel destinations they offer. I am not interested in taking a pilgrimage to another location.

Again, I would have gone on the trip to ****** had it not been affected by war in the area. I did not choose to cancel this trip it was canceled due to acts of war.

Because Nawas is not able to deliver the trip I originally planned and paid for, I am requesting a full refund.

    **** *** *********,

    Thank
you for the opportunity to reply to the complaint filed by ***** *********.

    1. Ms. ********* signed a contract with Nawas International Travel agreeing to our terms and conditions.  We have attached said terms and conditions, you will find the section that applies to her tour's situation on Page 15.

    2. Ms. ********* has a full travel
credit with Nawas for travel within 1 year of her departure and therefore will
not lose any money if she chooses to take advantage of the generous credit
    offered to her.

    3. Ms. ********* also mentioned that she only wants to go to **** **** & ******.  Her tour leader is still offering his travelers the same Pilgrimage to ****** and ****** in September of 2024 and she also has the option to use her travel credit on this tour. Thus she will be able to travel on the trip she had originally planned and paid for.

Thank you again for the opportunity to reply to Ms. *********.

    Sincerely,

    Nawas International Travel

I paid a deposit (by check) for a trip to ******, $500 for me and $500 for my mom. After *** ****** ** *** ***** ****, the reports of increasing violence and countries raising their travel warning levels, I submitted a faxed letter stating our intent to withdraw from the group trip. This notice was received by NAWAS well before the balance was due. I was told the date for withdrawing had passed and they were keeping my deposit. A couple weeks later they canceled the trip altogether. I have yet to receive the deposit.

    Dear Mr. *********,

Thank you for the opportunity to
reply to the complaint filed by **** *****.

Please be aware that Ms. ***** cancelled her participation for her referenced tour going to the **** **** back on July 11, 2023.  The situation in ****** occurred 3 months later on October 7, 2023.

Her cancellation has no bearing or relationship to the events that affected her group's tour.

We are very surprised that someone would file a complaint citing an event that happened 3 months after their cancellation and would then attempt to use said event as the reason for that cancellation.

    This complaint has no merit.

Thank you for the opportunity to reply to Ms. ******* complaint.

    Sincerely,

    Elin

Booked a tour of ****** that was supposed to leave November 9, 2023. It is extremely dangerous to travel to the middle east. Commercial airlines are no longer flying into *** ***** I purchased insurance with ***. I was informed that the only reasons that you can cancel and have your money returned is a death, illness, medical treatment, hijacked, quarantines, jury duty (court appearance), fire or flood in your home, traffic accident, or military assignment. Apparently war is not covered, even when the ** Government is advising citizens to stay away and the airlines are not traveling to *** ***** Please help if possible.

    Dear Mr. *********,

Thank you for the opportunity to reply to the complaint filed by ******** ******.

    1. Ms. ****** complains that the insurance she purchased through *** did not cover the situation with her tour. She had the opportunity to by Cancel for any Reason (*** **********) but she chose not to purchase this premium, which would have covered her cancellation for any reason. The insurance program she bought primarily covers people that must cancel due to medical issues.

    2. Ms. ****** signed a contract with Nawas Travel agreeing to our terms and conditions and we have attached the portion of said terms and conditions that applies to her tour's situation.

    3. Ms. ****** has a full travel credit with Nawas for travel within 1 year of her departure and therefore will not lose any money if she chooses to take advantage of the generous credit offered to her.

Thank you again for this opportunity to reply to Ms. ******.

    Sincerely,

    Nawas International Travel
