This company sent a bill for $56 to a collections agency. I have never received a bill from this company, not have I ever received a call to attempt to collect from this company. I have never had any company, missed bill, or payment negatively impact my credit. My credit reflects positive standing and flawless history.… until now because of this fraudulent company. My wife received a call from a Collections agency today stating that this account balance was with them and we paid it immediately — without having been previously notified of a balance.
I contacted the company today and they stated they had sent 4 notices to our house. What is more likely? That ****** with a flawless credit history and zero late payments neglected to pay a $56 bill (but immediately paid it when a Collections agency contacted) or this fraudulent company screwed up and didn’t send a bill to the right address.
I will not rest on this until this is corrected on my credit history. I don’t care how far I have to take this or how long it takes. This company has ruined a perfect credit score that my wife and I have spent years accruing. I demand a fix to this. I have already left a voicemail with a supervisor demanding a call back and rectifying this company’s mistake. Fix what you have done. Urgently.Business Response

We have spoken with the patient regarding this issue. We worked with all applicable parties and assured the patient that the account was not reported to the Credit Bureaus. The account is now closed. Communication was provided to the patient indicating this information.Customer Answer

Following the birth of my child they sent multiple invoices for the same services, and refused to follow through with our insurer. Eventually we thought these got resolved after using a patient advocate, however now months later they have sent us to a debt collector for a fraudulent bill and refuse to provide us with a copy of the bill explaining the services allegedly rendered.Business Response

They apologized for the customer service (or lack thereof) provided and we were able to resolve the issue with them providing the requested information to clarify the issue/charges. At this point I am satisfied with their response and would like to withdraw my complaint.

On 4/1/2021, I was sent to the ED at ******** Hospital (** ********) for a stat MRI due to workers comp injury. I was treated in the ED and discharged. Because this was a workers comp injury, ********* handled the bill directly as I was sent to the ED from ************ ******. I never received a bill from Jefferson Radiology nor ******** **********.
For this continued workers comp injury, I had a second MRI at ******** Hospital for which the ********* in the insurance provider. This second MRI was on 9/21/2022. I started receiving bills for the 9/21/2022 MRI reading. K send this to my attorney ****** *****. I received a second bill and I again contacted my attorney who assured me that ********* is paying that bill.
I went onto the ********* website to check if the bill was paid, when I noticed a note about a collection agency. I called the collection agency ******* *********** ******** who informed me that Jefferson Radiology had attempted to contact me. When I asked what address, she mentioned ** ******* ******* This is ******* Hospital's address. I asked the collection agency if they contacted me and they said they used that address. This is unacceptable as both Jefferson Radiology has my information on file; which a representative confirmed as well as my home/cell phone number. No attempts were made to contact me.
This resulted in them sending me to collection and affecting my FICO score.Business Response

We have been in contact with the patient several times. The patient has been informed that the account in no longer in collections and the incident has been pulled from her credit report. An internal investigation is being performed with the collection agency to ensure the proper procedures are followed.

I am rejecting this response because:the business did not sue their due diligence before contacting a collection agency. They did not follow proper pt identifiers; Name, dob. That in turn would have resulted in finding my contact information. It is required by law to make a legal attempt to contact me which ******* ********** ****** did not due. Just saying “my fault” is not enough to correct the fiduciary damage done to my credit. I have file a complain against ******* ********** ****** for another bill from Jefferson radiology to the state of ** for shady business practices and not following the Fair credit reporting act. Jefferson radiology needs to do better as they caused my damage.

I was referred to Jefferson Radiology. I called on the phone to be left on hold. I literally went in person while still on hold and was able to be seen.
The images are on line for me to see. Yet my provider and I have no access to the radiology results.
I have tried to call several times to be intentionallyt disconnected.Business Response

The patient was contacted via phone as part of an investigation in to her complaint. She was informed an internal review by the Quality Department would be completed. A return phone call after the review is complete to discuss results and plan of action was offered to the patient, but she declined any further contact.Customer Answer

I received treatment at ******* Hospital on 6/28/2022 for a diagnostic mammogram. ******* billed me $2,948.65 for this procedure. On 8/6/2022, I received a bill from Jefferson Radiology, whom I have never heard of, for the same treatment I received and was billed for at ******* Hospital. I called Jefferson Radiology on 8/8/2022 and asked them to explain who they were and why they were billing me. I also asked for evidence that I was made aware of their company, charges, or service and had agreed to receive treatment from them or had agreed to pay them. They have no such documentation. They are claiming that I must pay $298.54 for services by one Dr ******** *****, whom I spoke with for approximately 5 minutes at ******* Hospital. At no point did anyone at ******* Hopsital tell me that Dr ******* services were going to be charged in addition to the cost of the appointment at ******* and I did not authorize his involvement, or agree to pay for any services provided by him. I never met him before 6/28/2022. When I spoke to customer service at Jefferson the woman repeatedly said, "We have no control over this" and offered no resolution. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was sent to a voicemail box.
