      The Hartford more than doubled my rate claiming that the car I drive is prone to theft. Some models of Kia are high risk, mone is not one of those! I found insurnace that was hundreds of dollars cheaper with better coverage and canceled my Hartford policy. They continued to bill me. When I called to see why and explained that the policy had been canceled they said, "oh I guess your agent forgot to file the cancellation." Ended up having to pay them or fight it out in court. The Hartford is a crooked company.

      They are scammers who with **** lure you away from your exisiting auto insurance . You must join **** in order to get their lowball offer of an auto rate. I did this in 2023 and turned age 80 in the middle of the first six month period. We used the Trulane app for a reduction which tracks your driving. which was fine. No acccidents, no bad driving on app. Upon renewal date they canceled the policy while I was out of town and had not used the car for about three weeks. So no Trulane recorded trips . The payment was on Auto Pay which means they will draw the money from my bank or credit card . They declined to take the payment unilaterally and never advised me of the cancellation. No notice to me or State of Florida as required by law. After driving for a few days following my return I checked the driving app and find zero trips so I signed on to policy and find it has been cancelled. Nearly had a stroke thinking I am driving without insurance so I call them. Refused to re-instate policy and could not explain why they did not take funds. (I feel it was because of age alone) . All together there was no insurance for maybe twenty days which break in insurance coverage has cost me dearly to replace with other insurance because there is a penalty for a break in insurance.

      I HAD CAR INSURANCE FOR 2 VEHICLES FOR 17 YRS NO ACCIDENTS OR CLAIMS IN THAT TIME I WAS LATE ONE MONTH AND THEY CANCELLED ME AND REFUSE TO REINSURE US I SEEN NOW WHY BBB DOSEN'T ACCREDIT THEM BEING WITH SO MANY BAD REVIEWS

      Last summer my daughter lost her job and was planning to move back home. so I called Hartford to get a quote to add her to our policy in case she had to return home. In the middle of the conversation the rep phone hung up. I never confirmed to add her to the policy since she still had time to find another job. Next thing you know they added an addition $229 to my bill stating she was a member of my household. First of all my daughter hasn’t lived with us for 2 yrs and why would I call asking for a quote thinking she MAY be moving back after losing her job! Turns out she ended up moving in w her boyfriend and never came back home but yet they won’t remove her from our account! They wanted us to jump through all those hoops so we just canceled. End up with a better insurance and easier to communicate with. Don’t use Hartford they are scammers!!!!

      What out! You may be cancelled without notification! Everything was coming through email EXCEPT the most important item telling me they were cancelling my fully pre-paid insurance! Apparently it was sent in the middle of December but they don't care. I explained how I just opened the emails a few days before and she kept going on that the emails had been opened. (Great at talking but not listening),she just wanted a way to reiterated their policy. That's fine but I'm warning everyone to be careful and check the app constantly because they'll drop you like a bad habit! The way I was, Nothing like dropping an elderly disabled person who contacts them as soon as I get a partial refund.

      I am a senior , so went on line to check out Home and Auto insurance thru The Hartford. The website itself is a joke. Their pop up their 800 number on every page. Then after you get part way thru they CLAIM a system glitch and their 800 number pops up again. I trying online several times and got the same thing. SO I called , auto was already in the system, trying to add my HOME. She pulls up my claims record with my address, and states I had a small claim in 2022 for storm damage. Then in her next breath, sorry we cant insurance you because there is fire protecting service close enough to your address. WHAT? there a hydrant across the road. As there is a humane society right across the road. College is 1 mile on same road. Sheriff headquarters next to college. brand new fire station right there as well. so having a fire dept 1 mile away is not close enough, BS it is cause of a 1900$ claim in 2022. This company is NOT HONEST. If fact far from it. I cant believe AARP supports them. Oh but of course they would like to insurance my truck..LOL yeah NO TY

      This is the worst company because of the True lane system. Raised my rates because "I don't drive enough." I'm a disabled senior. I sometimes don't leave my house for a month. You would think you would be smart enough to realize, no driving equals no accidents. But nope, I don't drive enough. I can only shake my head at your stupid, asernie mentality. And camel my auto and home policy. True lane cost you an 9000.00 a year customer.

      ******** Review/Complaint for The Hartford**
      I am compelled to share my negative experience with The Hartford regarding their disability insurance coverage for transit workers. As a union member, I relied on The Hartford for support when I became disabled due to my job. However, since our union's switch to MetLife on January 1, 2024, The Hartford has failed to act in good faith.
      Despite their slogan, "Trust The Hartford," I have seen firsthand how they are not living up to this promise. Several employees, including myself, have faced challenges as The Hartford seems intent on discontinuing disability payments to eligible WMATA employees. This has been incredibly distressing, especially when we are already dealing with significant health issues.
      Furthermore, I want to highlight that the documents from my doctors were used by WMATA’s medical department to disqualify me from my position. My medical condition has not changed, and the struggles I face remain the same. It is disheartening to see a company fail to honor its commitments, leaving vulnerable employees without the support they desperately need.
      I urge The Hartford to take responsibility and uphold their obligations to the union members who have trusted them during some of the toughest times in our lives. It’s time for them to demonstrate the integrity and reliability they claim to represent.

      These people are criminals. I have been jerked around for almost 7 months after the unplanned, emergency C-Section birth of my son. I have had 3 doctors sign the requested forms to verify I was told not to return to work for 13 weeks due to preeclampsia. The Hartford continues to send the same forms back to the doctors and ask them to fill them out. I have documentation of all the times my doctors have complied with their requests and The Hartford refused to cover my leave of absence and closed my case. I will be taking them to small claims court. DO NOT USE THIS INSURER.

      On Nov 29, 24 filed claim went downhill from there. I have paid my insurance each month which I never used until now. Hartford insurance is the worst I have ever deal with. My car was hit and run report to this company took pics at their request do you know they never look at my pictures for my damage to my car. Just found out they send a check to the wrong location where my car is being repaired. My car has been at ******** ***** ** ********* **. But yet just found out they send the check to **** ********* **** ********* ** *****. But yet no agent called me back regarding my second claims which they are charging me twice for a hit and ran but yet I must pay $750.00 which I am a senior and this company is doing under handed practices which they made me file a second claim due to them not looking and reviewing pics that I had send. My agent is suppose to be Samira K********** This agent voicemail is always on never call back and the supervisor Mike K**** have number he never called back. Under them you get only $20 a day for car you must pay rest out of pocket. They use Enterprise and yet I couldn’t get a rental car even now I have nothing. This company should be investigated taking advantage of senior citizen after I made all payment. And yet due to me using my insurance they took my insurance up. How much are these agents putting in their pockets and yet still don’t have my car it’s been 2 weeks. Shop has been contacting them and they stated not a second claims which I filed and yet they still have done nothing to forward my claim I had to do like 2 claims. They never look at my pics I had send or anything. Going to file another complaint with Consumer Affairs. Hartford Insurance through AARP are taking advantage of Senior Citizens and I have seen and did read these reviews. My car been in shop (3) weeks now with no rental no nothing. Some of these employees don’t care about you. Never seen thing like this if I can give them a “0” I would their services SUCKS!.
