******** customer filed a dispute for a refund only AFTER our expert team reviewed and failed his submission as a forgery. Our service was provided in full and our consultant team spent a great deal of time reviewing your item before concluding Not Authentic. Proof of the official results being emailed to the customer 5 days prior to the date the customer demanded his refund are attached. Our terms of service clearly state that our signature review service cost is required regardless of the outcome of Pass or Fail. This policy is also the industry standard for every other autograph authentication company.Customer Answer

On Feb 5 I mailed my autographed poster to AutographCOA so that it could be examined so that I could get a letter of authenticity for it. They had already determined that the signature was authentic based on photos I had sent them online. Because I wanted the letter of authenticity I had to send it to them. I mailed it Feb. 5. **** shows that it was delivered and signed for by autographcoa on Feb. 10. They said that turn around time to get your item back is quick 2 - 6 days. I hadn't heard anything so Feb. 23 I emailed them. I got an email back quickly from the owner of the company saying it was on his desk and it would be sent to me Feb. 24 or Feb. 25. By March 4 I still hadn't received it or heard anything so I sent numerous emails asking them to please send it back to me. I also sent a message to them on Facebook. I tried calling them but the number is just a a recorded message saying to send them an email. There is no way to talk to a live person. I just want my poster back. It is a rare poster and it is signed by a famous athlete. I don't understand why they aren't returning it to me. Please help me get them to return it to me. I paid them $145 but they have my poster which has a high value.Business Response

A complaint is being filed with the *********** ******** ******** ******. This Autograph Authentication Sevice fraudulently takes your money and then cancels the service request without notifying you.
A request was made by email to authenticate a signature. A $20 invoice for a fee was issued by them to me that had to be paid before the process started. The process was to start with a picture of the signature and circumstances sent online to their email address for pre-verification and was supposed to take up to 7 days .
After 9 days an inquiry was made as to what the initial results were. The "Lead Authenticator", Justin S******* responded with an email back telling me the results were emailed to me a "few days ago".
In a response back I stated that I had NOT received anything and a check of my spam folders resulted in nothing. They were asked to resend it.
There was no response after 3 days. I checked my bank account for the withdrawal, which was there. So I directed my attention to ******, which I had used to pay for the invoice. I initiated a dispute only to find that "Justin S*******" had cancelled the service without notifying me. This is a type of Financial Cyber Fraud as ****** does not notify you when a vendor cancels a purchase or service. They just assume your money has been refunded. I was smart enough to use ****** and smart enough to immediately dispute the transaction.
****** immediately refunded my money. Knowing the service had been cancelled by the business owner on their end.
If I had not been paying attention I would be out the $20 after the ****** dispute window expired. There's your fraud.Business Response

This customer submitted an autograph for review. Multiple experts from our team spent time reviewing the item and determined it appears to be a Forgery. After sending this result to the customer, he filed a payment Dispute of $20.00 in protest and is now pretending we did not send him a result. He is lying about requesting an additional result, which we always do immediately if requested.
We have confirmed with our website tech that the results email was sent successfully. We also manually replied to the customer to let them know. Customer did not reply to us further, never requested an additional result, and only decided to file a payment Dispute after learning that his autograph is a forgery.
Our Terms of Service on the invoice this customer paid and on our web site, both state that our service is Non-Refundable regardless of whether items are deemed to be Authentic or Not Authentic. Our service provides professional reviews of autographs and involves real time and expertise invested from multiple paid experts to analyze every submissios. Our service was successfully provided and completed and this customer only filed a dispute because his autograph is a forgery.
Lastly, our service successfully reviews over 150 autographs per day on average, 7 days a week. We have thousands of active, regularly, satisfied customers who rely upon our expertise. This complaint is a disgusting attempt to slander our service and falsely refers to us as "a scam" and "fraud." In reality, the customer submitted a fake autograph and paid only $20 to find this out. Our service was completed within our normal time frame and the customer never even wrote to us with any sort of complaint before filing this complaint with BBB.
