The product was great until right after the short 1yr Warranty period I heard a popping noise and smelled electric smoke like a fuse blew. I contacted Customer Support online multiple times before they gave me the redirect to another dept email con. Of course, no response from the “other” dept. After calling several times, I got transferred to another dept and waited 35 minutes to be told that they can not even fix a tool out of warranty. I DO NOT RECOMMEND BUYING BLACK & DECKER TOOLS OF ANY KIND due to their poor quality and customer service.

Been purchasing Craftman tools for years and now that Stanley black and decker purchased them they do not stand behind there warranty I have bought 3 tool boxes in the last year and found out how poorly built the tool boxes are ,after 4 months the lock mechanism failed( had to break into the box to work) and 2 drawer sliders broke I sent pictures and they say drawer sliders and lock are wearable items and are not warrantied (they said like brakes on a car it is wearable and not covered )so after multiple people finally got them to warranty the lock and sliders as a one time courtesy they said and told me they are not covered at all due to being wearable items I get that but they should at least have a LIMITED WARRANTY AND BE STATED IN BOLD PRINT WHAT IS NOT COVERED INSTEAD THEY PUT LIMITED LIFT TIME WARRANTY ALL OVER THE PLACE AND WHEN YOU HAVE AN ISSUE AFTER 4 MONTHS THEY TELL ME CASTERS AND STRUCTURE IS ALL THATS COVERED ANYTHING ELSE IS NOT (THE IMPORTANT STUFF IS NOT COVERED EVEN FOR 90 MINUTES ONCE YOU LEAVE THE STORE GOOD LUCK) so to end this with a warning about craftsman products lately from my experience are built poorly with extremely limited warranty coverage (and I say this with great disappointment considering the amount of craftsman products I own but can assure you I will not buy another craftsman product PERIOD) over the last few years I purchased a craftsman leaf blower weed whipper chain saw before the tool boxes none of them run anymore the chain saw never ran right took them in for warranty and they still don’t run so again a warning on anything craftsman you are on your own Extremely disappointed life long customer until now!!

Beware Craftsman warranties; it is not the old-line company anymore. For seven months, this customer was promised, "a refund check is in the mail." It never arrived. The claim was fully substantiated with both receipts and photos. The Craftsman brand (now part of Stanley Black & Decker) has ceased to reliably back its warranties. Posted Friday, November 11, 2022

Ordered the product early so it would arrive before things got really hot. Set it up a few days before the first heat wave. Tried turning it on and it was definitely not working correctly. It began shaking, the lights flickered, it blew out cold air for about a second then started shaking again, then started blowing very hot air.
Contacted Black & Decker through an Amazon customer service rep. Talked on the phone asked them to send a new one and will send the broken one when the shipping label arrives. They said it needed to be returned first.
Sent the broken unit back to B&D, it arrived, waited for an email that the new unit had been shipped. Have called them several times now wanting to know when the new unit will be shipped, they told me to watch for the email. That was 4 heat waves ago.
Asked them to return my money, they said they couldn't do that. Saw several other reviews on B&D site that are similar to this experience.
Now another heat wave is starting, still no AC.
Two more weeks have gone by, it's now September 9, 2020. Another heat wave today and tomorrow and still no email or AC.
The heat will probably end within a few weeks... really don't need the product any more... would much rather have my $358.59 + money for having to suffer through the heat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Still waiting for the email... not worth it to call support.
