In July of 2023 EB Carports set up a 30X40 metal garage at my home. Once the garage was completed I noticed the 12x12 garage door that was installed was a different color than the other 2 doors that were put on. I addressed the issue with the company and was told they would replace it with the correct color but they didn't have any in stock at the time. I had regular contact with them after this point. On October 16 2023 I was told this would be completed within the next 2 weeks. In November I was told they were trying to put me on the schedule. On December 11 2023 they emailed me and said they finally have them in stock (they never told me they didn't have them in October) and will schedule a time to come and install it that never happened. I followed up with them on many occasions with no out come of them resolving the issue. I just received another email July 24 2024 now telling me they don't have them in stock again.Business Response

The reason I didn't accept this yet was to see if they would actually show up this time. As I suspected they did not. I have attached our conversation to this. The business said they would be over either Monday the19th or Tuesday the 20th and never came. This has not been resolved.Customer Answer

I had E B Carports erect a steel building in early 2023. The roll up garage door was never correct. It opened hard and was not square to the building and floor. The bottom of the door has a 1” gap on one side when closed. I have worked patiently with them for the last 6!months to get this fixed. Many empty promises and the door remains the same.Initial Complaint

I purchased a metal garage through this company at the end of September/ beginning of October. The buying process was smooth and it seemed to be well coordinated. I was scheduled for an installation date the first week of November. When the installers arrived he asked me, if the office called me to let me know they didn’t have any 10’x10’ garage doors left. I told him no I was not informed. He shook his head as if it was not the first time that has happened. He told me that they would receive the doors in two weeks and they would come back and install it. The installers were great. They worked all day and into the night to get it done. I was very pleased with the results. I was told I had to make the payment in full for the building even though I didn’t have the garage door installed, so without hesitation I made the payment. Since then it has been just shy of 5 months and I still do not have that 10x10 garage door. I have been given every excuse in the book about why I don’t have it yet. All I want is my garage door installed so I can be done with this for good. I am not very pleased at all and I am ready to peruse legal options. I figured I would try this first.Initial Complaint

On 12/16/22 my metal building was scheduled for delivery and installation for 12/17/22. I was told the garage door was damaged and would be installed 1-2 weeks later. We are now at 1/6/23 (3 weeks) and I cannot get any information of when the garage door will be delivered and installed. All EB carports will say is they are waiting on a delivery. There is no information of when the delivery is or was expected. The garage is of little use without a door.Initial Complaint

On August 13, 2022 EB carports and their install team started the installation of a metal building on my property. Part of the purchase included a walk-in door. The entire cost has been paid for and they have yet to install my door. I have been told they can only install the door when an install team will be in the area. I feel that it is utterly outrageous that the completion of my fully paid for project relies on wether or not someone else in the area has an installation of a building. I was told I was a priority but with the logic I was given you can see how that is the furthest from the truth. I have been very, very patient with them. And I am getting no where. I asked back in September that the door be installed by November, giving them more then a month to coordinate. And they have yet to finish my fully paid for product. I am all out of ideas on how to get this company to fulfill their end of this purchase. I’ve attached a picture that shows the specs of the job and a picture taking today (November 1,2022) that shows no entry door. Back on the install day I was told that day the entry doors were on back order. I then received information from them that the doors were back in stock and that an Install team would be reaching out to me to schedule a day. I was told that 4 different times. And never received a call to a schedule. Thank you, ******* ****Initial Complaint

EB Carports installed a metal garage on May 18, 2022. The total cost of the project was 16,431.63. Part of that cost was $230 for Dutch openings for the garage doors. The contractors failed to do the Dutch openings and just did regular square openings. I called and asked for a refund and I was told they would refund me. I have called at least 4 times over the past month and I either get no answer or they say they are sending the check out. We would just like a refund of the $230 for what was not completed.
