On 01/03/2023 BBB Serving CT opened an investigation into the business practices of LGND Supply Co. LLC after receiving a Scam Tracker report regarding their Sweepstakes. The consumer stated they were approached via social media and informed that they had won a truck and cash. However, the consumer was then told that they would be required to pay substantial taxes and fees to collect their prize.
The investigation determined that the Scam Tracker reports were regarding an imposter scam and LGND Supply Co. has been working with BBB to ensure that they are making it clear to consumers how the sweepstakes operates and is now actively warning them of scams. (04/15/24)
