      I hired Red Star Restoration in back in May 2024 to have mold remediated in my basement. Stephen, knew this was an insurance claim. He courteous, helpful and PROMPT getting back to me as to starting and completing the work. Once he completed the job and received my money I tried contacting him several times through phone/text messages, FB messages and email messages. He never got back to me. I had to hire another remediation company to come and do an adjoining part to this job. I hired a public adjuster to deal with the insurance company which Steve and I talked about. I again left text/phone messages, FB messages and email messages again for Steve and did not hear back. He is now the sole ( and most important) person who has not responded to the public adjuster calls and messages. SO, I sent the public adjuster's name and contact info to him via FB and email messages and he still has not gotten in touch with him. Steve and Red Star's lack of response and professionalism stands between me receiving more money on my claim. I personally feel this is an awful way to conduct business or acquire new business.

      This company convinced us that we needed immediate remediation for a recent plumbing issue. It just so happened that the guy who came out for the estimate had all of the equipment in his car to get started, we wrote a check for 50% and they got to work. They did much of the physical work as promised, added about 20% of the bill for additional work that really should have been included in the original scope, but we chose to pay it rather than fight. While we wrote them the final check they assured us they would bend over backwards to supply the insurance company with all of the needed information including photographs, moisture readings, and documentation. They left with the check, and that is the last we ever heard from them. My insurance company has reached out to them repeatedly, as have we, still with no answer and no proof that they finished the work. We are faced with having another contractor come out to take pictures and provide moisture readings. Now, as we are starting to piece things back together we found some areas that they did not complete as promised while still increasing the bill. It was clear all they cared about was getting the final check, not about fulfilling their promises. The owner of the company looked me in the eye and lied to my face while taking my money, over $5,000 total, and I am left holding the bag. Please do not trust this company in your home, I'm not sure some of the treatments and other things that they did even lived up to what was promised. Stay away.
