      Subpar contractors, unreliable customer support/service and false promises of warranty coverage.

      If there were a number they allowed to give beneath one that is what I would give HomeServe USA repair plan.
      I got the plan several years ago. If you've ever had to be the primary care provider for your parents that had Alzheimer's, everything has to have your name on it and proof you paid it because it's unethical otherwise.
      My house has been in probate because of covid and my health, I've had 8 surgeries since then the last one 3 weeks ago I've got papers that prove the house is mine.
      The utilities are in my name, the cable and I've paid it all and the taxes the last 10 years. I put my name on it I signed it I used my bank account to pay for the plan they refuse to allow me to use it.
      I'm telling you the back story so you understand the ridiculousness and tomfoolery that HomeServe USA repair plan pulled:
      1. Was treated rude, they were dismissive and disrespectful towards me.
      2. They told me I had to cancel my plan then start a new one.
      3. They said I would not get credit for the years I've paid and it be transferred, nor could I be allowed to use the account, or receive a refund.
      4. I was hung up on twice. One of the times one had the gall to say she was getting the supervisor and put me on hold for 6 minutes, came back said she was transferring my call to them, put me on hold for over 15 minutes then it disconnected me and went to the survey.
      5. This was 3 hour period of trying to get my issue resolved, (which it wasn't or even close) speak to a manager or a supervisor.
      6. One of them laughed and told me the supervisor was too busy to talk to me. I talked to 4 people that refused to connect me to a manager or supervisor.
      I have kept that plan incase of a situation like now. I've been off work for 7 weeks I'm a hairstylist no pay. So I am healing from major surgery with no air it's making me sicker and effecting health negatively and I have no family everyone died in the pandemic I'm stuck here.
      Thanks HomeServe USA for screwing me over.????

      I've spoken to the company they've done nothing to make it right. I paid for a service I was denied access to that endangered my life. I was without air in a heat advisory and having just had multiple major surgeries and suffer from heat intolerance. They will not refund my money or repay my friend that paid for the full price service call. I'm tired of all of these big businesses being allowed to take advantage of consumers and nothing happens to them it's allowed! That's what's wrong with America now!!

      I called on Monday, July 11th about my ac fan unit not staying on and was told someone would come out Friday, July 15th between 1-4, so I left work early and no one ever showed up. I reached out to them that evening and asked what happened and I was told that I was actually scheduled for July 18th and AGAIN I left work early to wait for the AC tech person and no one ever showed up. I called AGAIN and was told that they had "overbooked' so they had to cancel everyone's appointments in my area and that I had been rescheduled for July 21st. At this point I was frustrated, annoyed. They don't communicate well with their customers and and apparently cancel appointments without notifying you.

      Homeserve was easy to deal with. 1 phone call and first thing Monday ***** plumbing came in and resolved the problem quickly.i felt fortunate to have someone who has the expertise that ***** posseses.they are excellent plumbers and I highly recommend homeserve and ***** plumbing

      I had already heard of their poor reputation but when they purchased the company that originally installed my system under a 12 year parts and labor warranty, I had no choice but to use FPL Home Services who agreed to honor the warranty. Even with the full warranty, I had to pre-pay nearly $500 to order a part back in May, then waited 6 wks for the part to arrive. During my wait period, FPL was kind enough to add another 1 lb of R-410A because they couldn't predict when the part would arrive and therefore couldn't schedule the repair. When finally installed in July, the system provided cooling for only 2 days! I had to wait another 4 days for a "no-cost" visit from a different service tech who then told me of an entirely "new" problem that required a new TXV valve and over $200 more. That service tech left no paperwork, no record of what had been done and no proof that any part had been ordered.
      I instead called a more reputable competitor who came to my house the same day. Diagnosis showed the system was completely out of R-410A indicating FPL's part replacement was also the cause of the system leak. He diagnosed & repaired the leak, repressurized the system, verified there was NO ISSUE with the TXV valve and had me up and running within 90 mins!
      I don't plan to use FPL Home Services ever again.

      I am long-time customer of HomeServe (since about 2016) and am so pleased with them. The annual premium is reasonable and the service is reliable. I've called as early as 6 am (EST) and had a friendly, efficient rep answer the phone immediately each time. I have had several needs (plumbing - indoor and out) and each issue has been resolved quickly, well, and in a very reasonable amount of time. I highly recommend this company.

      Just to let you know this is the first time I use the service. I had what I thought as a toilet leak, however it was the system, it was all clogged up. The young man who came was so nice and kind he explained the problem and advised me he can fix the issues. He did a great job. He flushed out the toilet and the shower. After he completed putting the toilet back down, he cleaned the floor around the toilet and picked up all the wet towels and put them in a bin for them to be washed.! Now this was great as I am a disabled senior citizen. I would have had to wait for someone to come home to pick up and clean the floor. I 'm sorry I don't remember his name, but was a great! A nice person.! Very Happy with Home Service. :)
