I’m 66 years old and have really bad diabetics feet . And I’m low income! I explain I’m waiting for my insurance to pay for special diabetics shoes. But unfortunately my old shoes had holes. My granddaughter offers to take me to a special sneaker store for diabetics shoes. After spending more then I ever spent in my life on shoes, they were no better than a normal pair of running sneakers! Running omg I can’t barely walk.

      Business Response

      Date: 05/11/2023

      To Whom
      It May Concern:
We are in receipt of a customer complaint from ******** ********, concerning a
pair of shoes she purchased from our store. Per the customer’s complaint she is
diabetic and was fitted with running shoes. The pair of shoes she purchased as
seen on the image of the receipt she submitted is a *** ******* 1540 (Style number
********). While the shoe, is described as a running shoe, it is both for
running and walking. Per *** *******’s website, it is listed under their “Medicare
Approved Shoes for Diabetics”, so it really isn’t your “normal pair of running sneakers” as described by the customer.

      ( Please see link
      for reference:
      ***********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************)

The *** ******* **** is a stability shoe that is commonly chosen for and by diabetics
and for individuals with diabetic neuropathy. We understand however, that every
shoe may not work for every customer that is why, customers are told, per store
policy that they can try shoes they purchase at home and return the shoes in
store should they have any issues. To the best of my knowledge the customer, didn’t
come in to give us an opportunity to refit or return the shoe. We are more than
happy to resolve the issue for the customer, the customer is therefore welcome
      to return the shoe.
We apologize for any misunderstanding there might have been in communicating
the features of the shoe to the customer or in communicating the store policy,
such that the customer didn’t feel returning the shoe was a option. We look
forward to assisting any way we can.
