      I’m not a person to say a lot of negativity about stores or anything of that nature, but I was very disappointed with Hawley Lane Shoes in Orange, Connecticut and Hawley Lane Shoes in Shelton Connecticut. I live in ******* ***********, and my girlfriends went with me to these two stores and they led me to believe that they were gonna have the size shoe that I need which is a deep shoe and extra wide width an eight double wide well I got there and the Orange store only had four shoes sizes for me to pick out $169 with $10 discount these maryjane shoes that I was only able to wear one day and my knees were killing me so my girlfriend and I drove all the way back to Shelton Connecticut, which is very far for me because I live in ******* Connecticut, and the lady there said to me you need a shoe with depth and you need a shoe with width. This is really a challenge , so they showed me three or four pairs of shoes just like the orange Connecticut did and I got a shoe didn’t have the depth but had the width and they wound up costing me $198 for these shoes and I am wearing them now, and my knees are starting to hurt me a little bit so I will never again go shopping at Hawkey Lane Shoes. They are not what they say. They are going to be . Very disappointed,

      The owner contacted the customer to address her concerns. After listening to the customer's account of her experience, we determined that the sales associates had acted appropriately, providing the best recommendations and selecting the most suitable shoe for the customer. However, we acknowledge that not all shoes are suitable for every foot, especially for those with specific issues or conditions.
      On June 12, 2024, the owner personally assisted the customer again at the Orange Store. He recommended a shoe that provided optimal comfort for her. Both parties agreed that, due to the customer's foot challenges and knee issues, she is currently best suited to wearing sneakers. Ultimately, the customer was very satisfied with her purchase and expressed her gratitude to the owner.
