Unfortunately, I’m on my daughter’s account due to emergency reasons. I was unaware that if she becomes insufficient, they will take the money from my account although she’s not on my account I’m only on hers. I was told that it’s in the disclosure. I never received a hand copy at all this is unacceptable because this is money that was accounted for and I should have known thisBusiness Response

Hello,
We have reviewed this complaint and understand the member's perspective. However, the credit union has the right to offset a negative balance with other accounts owned by either the owner or the joint owner. This has been the practice here at Sikorsky Credit Union for a very long time and is a common banking practice at most other banks and credit unions. This language is clearly stated in our Member Share Agreement that *** ****** acknowledged and signed on September 8, 2022. Attached is an image of that signature. We have also included the specific language in the agreement below.
8. RIGHT OF SET-OFF. Unless this right is denied to us by law, We can take any funds in Your account to pay any debt You owe Us that is in default (including unpaid charges). This is called the right of set- off and applies to all funds of Yours in our possession now or in the future in any account You maintain with us. We can use this right of set-off without going through any legal process or court proceedings. For joint accounts, this right of set-off applies to Our use of deposits of any of You to pay the debts owed to Us by any or all of You. If We exercise this right by taking what You owe Us from a share certificate account, such payment shall be deemed an early withdrawal, and an early withdrawal penalty may be imposed (See Section B-9e of this Agreement for more information on early withdrawal Penalties). If a loan payment You owe to us is not paid when due, We may hold the funds in Your Member Savings Account up to the amount of the overdue payment until the overdue payment is made or We may set-off the amount as provided in this paragraph (not applicable to credit cards).
If any further information is needed, please let us know.

I am making a complaint against Sikorsky Credit Union for depleting my account, charging me excessive fees and transferring my funds to a different account without my consent and against my will then charging me fees for transferring MY money to a different account, still MY account to pay for things with no funds in my account. This is all during my mom being diagnosed with cancer and me taking care of her, she has since passed away and I have spoken to the bank when I saw what was happening, I am pissed because they took my savings out without my consent and then charged me over and over and over fees from MY OWN MONEY to cover what they decided to do against my knowledge and will. A manager stated she would call me and NEVER did. They need to reimburse me the fees they charged me I had $25,000 Plus in my account and I had to switch my remaining funds to a different bank just to save what I had left. I never asked nor wanted any funds transferred and I spoke to someone and opted out of that long time ago. It should be recorded. The fees are $5 & $7 EACH TIME they took MY MONEY out of MY account to place in another of MY accounts. They did not without my consent, knowledge and even after I became aware and OPTED OUT. Charging me return fees!! After they switched funds to pay for stuff that wasn't supposed to be paid to begin with! How is it that you use my money to pay something, then charge me a fee for taking money out of my savings AND charge me a Overdraft fee?? I never wanted the savings touched to begin with and the only reason anything returned is because other companies would come in after I would transfer funds to cover specific bills and take out money meant for specific bills. Because my mom was sick I wasn't paying attention until I had an opportunity to look after I received a letter and was able to see a insufficient funds letter. They also started withdrawing from my savings with NO MONEY and charging me on that. 3 fees were returned out of MANYBusiness Response

Good afternoon and thank you for making us aware of this member complaint. We have reviewed this situation thoroughly and have concluded that Sikorsky Credit Union did not violate any member agreements that Ms. ********* signed and agreed to. Some of the information she provided is not accurate. We have made four (4) attempts to contact her via phone (March 7, March 8, March 11, and a final attempt on March 20, 2024) but she has not returned any of the voicemails that we left for her. According to our records, she visited our ********* ** branch on 11/4/2022 to open her new accounts. At that time it appears she opted out of any overdraft protection services. However, she came back on 11/8/2022 to make a deposit after her debit card was denied at a gas station on 11/7/2022. During this visit on 11/8, the Branch Manager linked her savings account to her checking account and activated the overdraft transfer from savings feature. A Branch Manager would not do this unless it was specifically requested by the member. From 11/21/2022 thru 12/15/2023 sixty (60) overdraft transfers from savings to checking occurred. These debit transactions were authorized by Ms. ********* with no funds in the checking account.
What we would like for Ms. ********* to understand is that it is her responsibility to manage her own accounts and not use her debit card or initiate automatic electronic ACH payments from her accounts if there is not enough funds to cover these transactions. If Ms. *********** savings account was not linked to her checking account, besides the numerous and embarrassing Point of Sale denials she would have received when attempting to use her debit card, she would also have incurred approximately thirty-six (36) Insufficient Fund fees totaling $1,188.00 for denied electronic funds debit transactions from merchants or vendor payments she initiated, along with any fees the merchants charge for returned payments.
It is the opinion of Sikorsky Financial Credit Union that Ms. *********' accounts were handled properly by the credit union and there was no violation of any State or Federal regulations pertaining to her accounts.

My credit card was hacked around 6/18/23. I called Sikorsky credit union/Sikorsky credit card and filed a fraud complaint in which they immediately canceled the card and issued me a new one. We went over all the transactions on my account to verify what was mine and what wasn’t. Today is 7/28/23 and they have not given me my money back. I have called every week for the last 6 weeks and sat down with a branch manager twice and every week it’s a different story. Where is my money? They refuse to call me back and they refuse to give me my money back.Business Response
