      In the first 18 months of Blue Garden taking over property Management with new owners, they never made a walk-through to inspect the unit.
      After 1 year, they offered us a lease renewal when we didn't have a lease and could not sign one because of many needed repairs, definitely could not sign as is. Also clauses in the boiler plate lease were not applicable or completely false, such as tenants couldn't have window air conditioner, nor space heater, but those are needed and we already had them in the unit. We were without heat multiple days.
      When they finally gave us a printed copy of the proposed lease if we stayed month to month rent would be 20% increase. We contacted Livable Cities Initiative for an inspection and they did find building code violations. We proceeded through Fair rent commission and the decision was reduced rent until they had full compliance with the LCI order. We are 1 year after the original LCI inspection and as of tuesday, November 19th, 2024, several items still failed to pass. Sometimes when there is an appointment for their maintenance man to come, he doesn't show up nor call.

      I had to move out my apartment I was renting at *** **** ****** with my two children under the age of 3 years old because of a horrible mice and roach infestation and when I asked when could they do something about it they tell me 1-3 months. I’ve also been calling about receiving my direct deposit but no one is acting like they want to answer the phone , they’re very unprofessional and they try to lie to the city to cover they’re tracks about the half ass job they do . I found mice dropping where me and my kids sleep mice running out the stove burners , bathroom , heaters etc roaches everywhere even come onto where me and my kids sleep and they did absolutely nothing about it , I tried to contact the city and the guy told be blatantly I could just pack up my things and move out . Now my and my children are homeless because of an issue that could have been easily avoided on top of that prior to moving in they tried to make me pay more than what I had to !
