Free2Move provides quite possibly THE worst customer experience imaginable. It's impossible to even know where to begin. The experience is just bad bad bad bad. And there's NO way such a horrific customer experience would be tolerated from an American company. How does Free2Move even have the licenses necessary to operate in the **?

This company strongly implies that you can park in any legal space in the city, but it's not true. You can't park in "Areas that are or will become restricted within 24 hours" - so if you park in a space with 2hr free parking and end your rental, Free2Move will come after you if their car stays there too long and gets a ticket, AND they'll charge you a $25 "admin fee" to add insult to injury. That's what happened to me. They told me "contest the ticket with the city if you want, it's got nothing to do with Free2Move", despite the fact that I wasn't in control of their car when the ticket was issued. Very deceptive marketing, just get an Uber and save yourself the hassle.

This company has a terrible practice of charging clients literally years later. I just received a second invoice for over $250. They claimed a parking ticket was issued to the car, but the ticket is stamped from January 2022. I have documentation that I was traveling and not the one using the car but they refuse to remove the charge from my account.

This was my last straw with Free2Move. I know I am not alone in receiving poor service from Free2Move but I have given grace because it is aligned with my needs as someone who does not want to own a car. However, yesterday the service I received was not only not helpful it was actually hurtful. The woman I got on the phone didn’t seem to understand the situation at all. She even put me on hold to talk to her supervisor right next to her, which is offered as information. When she said no to all the ideas I offered, she threatened me. I asked to speak to the supervisor she was sitting next to, again cause she told me, and she said that its impossible to speak to a supervisor. At this point I was frustrated and angry. It did not help that this woman didn’t read my name correctly and continued to call me by the fully wrong name even after I corrected her. When I accused her of gaslighting me about a supervisor, who I have spoken to in the past for another issue I had with Free2Move, she hung up on me. Obviously that enraged me as I think it would anyone. At this point my friend heard how incredibly upset I was and booked the car to move it away from getting towed. I called back and when the next person picked up I could hear the former representative complaining about me through the phone. This was a straw breaking for me, one thing to complain about a frustrating call, been there done that, but I would NEVER do it in ear shot of other taking calls. Once again your staff gaslit me when I said I could hear that woman, the new rep said I was wrong and she didn’t know what I was talking about. She forced me to explain the situation, again, and when I understandably used forceful words to express myself she felt it was the right move to tell me how I should speak and emote. She also called me by the wrong name, which is just wild to me since y’all have my account up. I asked for a supervisor to called me before the end of day. That obviously did not happen.

This company is a TOTAL scam! They cold called me...have NEVER heard of them until this point...now saying I owe them $974.53 for using their service!!

On the date in question, I was at home and on the job (I work from home, primarily), and the only proof they have shown me are documents that are printed poorly, with no clear evidence it is me.

I would laugh at this attempt at identity fraud, but the way things are nowadays, I need to cover my assets!

    CONSUMER BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!!!

Deceitful, fraudulent company. I used the service for a year without issue. However, the company decided to pull their service from my city on April 30. They sent an email to some customers (but not me, I learned of the exit through a friend) on April 24, and stated that any prepaid credit passes will be refunded within two weeks. I had a credit pass set to expire April 30, so I planned to use it up that week. However, Free2Move then rendered all vehicles in my city out of service on April 25-- it was impossible for me to use the credit pass because there were no vehicles I could use it on. Upon contacting Free2Move for a refund, they said that they only offered refunds for credit passes remaining after April 30, and since mine expired April 30, I was not entitled to a refund, even though the company effectively prevented me from using my prepaid credit prior to April 30.

The very first time I rented from this ripoff company I only drove two blocks because the vehicle was beyond filthy and stunk with weed smoke so I demanded a refund plus there was dog hair everywhere, So I aren’t another vehicle and things were ok until they started charging my card every 24 hours totally ridiculous and they had the audacity to charge my card 3 times a day on numerous occasions I called customer service and they give me a pitiful excuse that the case has been escalated and being reviewed what needs to be reviewed is how is this rip off company still in business I don’t recommend this company to anyone and they should be ashamed to call themselves a business I want every dollar back that they stole from me and I plan on telling anybody that will listen that these parasites are not to be trusted it’s my money and I need it now!!!!! Free2move may u rest in hell!!!!!!

This company is not transparent and their practices are deceptive. The cars are in awful condition (always lacking windshield wiper fluid, low tire pressure, expired tags so multiple tickets, dirty, and now with the new fuel reimbursement policy they implemented, they don't even have enough gas) and they advertise taking care of these issues but the burden of upkeep generally falls on the consumer. For any issues you experience, having to refuel a vehicle, fill tires, change cars because things are broken, you are are only issued credit on future rentals, not refunds, and these credits usually carry a short expiration window forcing you to use it or lose it. Their customer service only escalates matters to management, you can never speak with a supervisor, and you only receive email responses with no resolution. They are not transparent about their rules and regulations but when you have a concern they will reference some rule that says it is not possible, even to the point of recently responding in accurately that the app worked a certain way that was false.

The Free2Move car rental I reserved this evening, on 1/27/23, indicated the car had 10% gas remaining in the tank. This was not true, as the car was literally on the empty line and gas light was illuminated. I went to the nearest gas station, filled the tank, 12 gallons at $51, then submitted my receipt. Apparently they will only reimburse $25, which doesn't make any sense at all - no wonder none of the cars have much gas in them.
I called to complain and they kept stating the policy without acknowledging the lack of logic for this policy. They have no managers to escalate. This policy not only doesn't make sense, but is environmentally negligent as well.
It wastes customers time to keep refueling after only being able to use 5 gallons of gas (gas is currently $5/gallon in DC), and so many unnecessary trips to gas stations. The cars are also not maintained, smell bad, extremely dirty inside and outside, and usually there are mechanical dashboard lights illuminated requiring various amounts of service.

Just as with the other complaints, I still have not received my $49.99 deposit, and after wasting my time calling Free2Move and my bank on a merry-go-round chase, My bank says I won't get it till Monday, Nov 14th as apparently Free2Move's prehistoric technology isn't equipped to release the funds or the deposit.
I've called Free2Move THREE times and how is it that there isn't any supervisor that can actually take charge of a customer's situation? You get an agent that is doing his r her job and cannot actually fix a problem.
