Services rendered in an ER on 2/23/24. Since then attempted to contact this company over 15 times with no success by phone. Since then this company has sent us multiple bills and every time we have sent our insurance information back to them. We are at a loss of what to do at this point because the company won’t contact us or take our insurance information to adjust this bill.Business Response

On June 29th 2024 I was at Ava's Pizzeria in Rehoboth Beach. I began to not feel well, as has happened before, but ended up fainting in the restaurant. Staff at the restaurant were on the phone with 911 when I awoke and I pleaded with them not to have an ambulance come since this has happened to me before and I just need a minute to recover. Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company came out and took vitals, but I told them I did not need to go to the hospital. I signed a statement saying so. A couple weeks later, I received a bill in the mail through Kirk & Associates saying I owed $225 for services. I called the number to contact this company and no one answered. I left a message and no one answered. There is a contact request form on their website, where I stated my issue and provided contact information, requesting someone reach out as I want to dispute the claim. No one from this company has emailed or called in response to my contact request form and has now sent me a follow-up bill. There are two charges on this bill, $200 for the ambulance and $25 for vitals. I am willing to pay the $25 for the vitals provided (Although as a provider myself, I don't charge my patients to put a pulse ox on), but I did not request this ambulance to come and they did not transport me to the hospital. I would highly appreciate someone reaching out to me to resolve this issue because I did not request these services, they were forced upon me and I was not taken to the hospital.Business Response

The EMT took your vitals, but you signed a release stating you did not want to be transported to the hospital, but there is a fee for this service. The $225 bill is the correct fee for this service. If you still wish to dispute this fee, please write your dispute and either mail it back with a copy of your bill or fax it to me at 302-533-6818. Once received I will have the supervisor at the ambulance company review it and then I will contact you with their decision.

This is a follow-up message regarding ******** **********s bill (Account No: 86534272P), which I received as an attachment on 04/15/2024 from Main Line Emergency Med Assoc for services rendered on 04/30/2023, totaling $457.00.
I and as well as my insurance provider Aetna attempted to contact Main Line Emergency Med Assoc at 302-273-2247 more than 30 times in the last month regarding the aforementioned claim, but was redirected to voicemail each time.
Furthermore, upon reviewing the attachment received on 04/15/2024 alongside claim ID # EPY15S5NJ, I contacted my insurance provider, Aetna. According to their records, CPT code 12011, billed for services on 03/30/2023, was denied as it was deemed included in emergency care procedures provided on 03/29/2023, as well as CPT code 94760 (pulse oximetry for oxygen saturation).
Aetna has clarified that Saisurya Hariharan is not responsible for the billed amount of these CPT codes, as they are part of or included in the emergency services billed under CPT code 99282. Consequently, Saisurya Hariharan only owed the deductible of $1,522.00, which was paid directly to the provider in May 2023.
The latest letter, attached herewith, states that this will be the final reminder before forwarding the matter to a collection agency. This is unacceptable as there has been no response from Main Line Emergency Med Assoc. Despite numerous attempts to reach them at 302-273-2247, the calls go unanswered. I urge the team to assist in resolving this matter.

5/16/22 - Confirmed with TSI that letter was received on 4/18/22, but no response at all from Kirk & Assoc, (aka Main Line Emergency Med Assoc.) from the letter or multiple voicemails.
