November 4, 2019. Purchased a three day event “Shadow Con” in NYC. Postponed three times because of Covid. Then finally cancelled with the promise of a full refund. This company provided services to meet celebrities. They held a virtual conference in December 2021. You
Paid to have a screen shot picture taken with the celebrity and an autograph. These were not sent. They were promised to send after their April New York in person and online virtual con. This was rescheduled to August 2022. Shadowhunters. I was attending virtual and night several autographs and shipping for them to be sent to me in Canada.
This New York Con event was scheduled for August2022 with less than 24 hours notice. The company has disappeared from social Media and email. This event with autographs cost me 500 Canadian. I have not been reimbursed.Initial Complaint

I paid 993.00 to attend the Shadowhunters Convention in NYC which was suppose to take place in August of 2022 after being postponed for over two years. They took our money and told us the only way we could receive a refund was if the event was cancelled and the event was cancelled at the last minute and I requested a refund, but Jalmics has refused to answer any of our questions concerning our refunds.Initial Complaint

I paid for a convention pass, additional add ons, and more for a convention about the shadowhunters TV series to be originally hosted in New York April 3-5 2020. It was postponed due to pandemic to May 29-31, 2021, then AGAIN to April 22-24 2022, and AGAIN until August 19-21 2022. It was never offered to be refunded and the event was then CANCELLED the DAY OF THE EVENT. I never received my money back, and they have no responses to ANY emails. They have taken down their website now, and no other customers can contact them. They have stolen our money!Initial Complaint

I bought autographs from them that was to be shipped to my home they were to hold a live event this year in New York. I puchased a $220 admission ticket to the Heroes of the Shadow World convention and a $70 photo op ticket with ******* ********. They announced the day before the event that people shouldn't check in to the hotel, and at 5 PM the night before (several hours after registration was to start) they cancelled the event. They announced 2 separate days for refund information and announced NOTHING on those dates. Receipts and emails are attached. They have since taken down their website, stopped answering their phones, abandoned their twitter and are not responding to emails. The last communication from Jalmics came on September 1, 2022 via their website. As of September 19, Jalmics.com and email are no longer accessible. “Heroes of The Shadow World” was canceled 12 hours beforehand with guests and attendees learning this news together on Twitter. Many fans were stranded because the organization had not paid for the hotel rooms they had paid them for. Little to no communication or aid came from Jalmics and instead other fans, attendees, moderators, the hotel and even the actors stepped up to help those in NY. Jalmics has still not provided refunds or information on when refunds might come.

Jalmics owes me $4,956 for services purchased between 2019 and 2022 for an in-person convention that the cancelled at the last minute. The event was post poned several times due to the pandemic, and it was supposed to be held at the Times Square Marriott Marquis in August of 2022. The day prior to the event, Jalmics told us that the event was no longer happening and they would work with their organization to deliver refunds to attendees. It is now September 25th, nearly a month and a half after the convention date, and no services nor refunds have been issued. I pre-paid for the hotel room at the Marriott Marquis and they have not refunded that, either.
As of September 25th, they have deactivated their email address and their website is now gone. They have not released a statement since September 1st after promising weekly updates regarding refunds.
As most of my purchases for services happened in 2019-2021, my credit cards are mostly unable to assist with acquiring the funds from Jalmics. I need help.

“Heroes of The Shadow World” was supposed to be a 3-day event in New York City organized by Jalmics International that promised to give fans access to the people who brought the tv show Shadowhunters to life. “Heroes of The Shadow World” was canceled 12 hours beforehand with guests and attendees learning this news together on Twitter. Jalmics has still not provided refunds or information on when refunds might come. The last communication from Jalmics came on September 1, 2022 via their website. As of September 19, Jalmics.com and email are no longer accessible.
According to Jalmics International's own terms and conditions, we are entitled to full refunds in the event of an event cancellation (proof of terms and conditions uploaded in supporting documents).
I purchased the following from Jalmics International:

- Courage Pass - $295 (this is the entry pass for the event; I do not have a screenshot of this and since Jalmics removed their website, I cannot provide an image of the receipt although I do have the order number - Order #5369)
In all, I am entitled to a $845 refund from Jalmics International.

This organizer advertised a fan convention for a television show called Shadowhunters. It was supposed to be held in 2020, but was pushed back due to the pandemic. After it was finally set for August 19-22, 2022, fans began traveling to New York for the convention. However, the event organizer abruptly cancelled the event the day before, claiming disagreements with the hotel. They did not help fans who were coming to the convention and delayed any mentions of a refund until they ultimately took down their website and email servers on September 19.

Jalmics was supposed to put on a three day event in New York in August and was cancelled with only 12 hours notice and only on Twitter. I was doing the At Home portion of the event and had put $191.45 into it. As of September 1st, there has been no communication of refunds and the website, email address, and social media accounts of Jalmics International have disappeared. I would like my money back.
