    Jalmics International advertised a "Heroes of the Shadow World" convention to be held in New York on August 19 through August 21st, 2022. The convention was to have cast and crew from the show "Shadow Hunters", and Jalmics sold passes, cast autographs, photo ops, chat sessions, workshops, extras, etc... over a period of two years online for this event. Fans from all over the world purchased these passes and extras, spending thousands of dollars expecting the convention to be held, as promised. On the day of the convention, August 19, 2022, after attendees had already arrived in New York, Jalmics tweeted that the convention was cancelled. In New York, there was zero evidence of any convention preparations and attendees who had already given Jalmics money for their hotel rooms were homeless. Their Terms and Conditions require them to provide refunds to attendees, but they have refunded nothing, and, instead, just last week, September 14th, taken down their website and shut down their email address. They are criminals who have deceived and stolen from hundreds, if not thousands, of people. I alone am owed $2900. Many others are owed much more. The business is based in the UK, so I don't know if the BBB can do anything to resolve the issue. But, I wanted to report this to warn others of this corrupt organization.

    I bought passes to attend a Jalmics International event called Heroes if the Shadow World. I purchased the pass in 2019 and extras including photo ops, autograph sessions and meet and greets thru 2020. The event was postponed due to Covid 4 times. At each postponement refunds were denied and most people were pushed far past the limited of charge back possibilities. The event was supposed to happen the weekend of August 19-21, 2022 with registration on the 17th. After flying to NY and checking in to the hotel the day of registration, the company started tweeting messages about a problem with the hotel. The hotel staff was unaware of this. Much later that day, approximately 12 hours prior to the event, the completely cancelled. Many who paid for their rooms they Jalmics were stranded without hotel rooms as they did not pay the hotel. The company stated they would refund us but to date have continued to make excuses and have issued no refunds. They have even gone so far as to blame attendees who filed disputes with their credit card companies stating they will deny all those flames as they are outside of their refund policy. This is just a delay. They held out money for 3 years. We did not receive the goods and services we paid for. Instead many were put in harms way due to their negligence.

    They cancelled a convention Heroes of theShadow World scheduled for August 19-21 ONE DAY before they were about to take place, which was postponed many times since April 2020 the majority of payments for photos and in person chats were given...I think i paid over $1500 and they are not offering refunds despite their horrendous behavior regarding this. this is my complaints. also now they are trying to scam other attendees for another convention for Lord of the Rings which is coming out in the next year or so

    They are a convention that has given several false promises. They have postponed this event since April of 2020. Which I fully understand with covid things had to be moved. However, they will not give anyone a refund even though they have changed the date 5 different times. The event will take place next week, and 1 week before the event they told us that half the guest are no longer coming. They are telling us they won't answer any questions about this issue until after the event. And you can only collect refunds at the con at the last day. If you can't make it this day they will not give you any refunds.

    Jalmics International has held my money for the last 2 years over COVID accommodations, just to have everyone that was supposed to attend cancel the week before the event. Which means not services rendered in over 2 years. They have said the only way to get a refund for cancelled guests is to attend in person, which is there’s no one that was originally attending, what is the point?

    This company has had well over 2900$ of my money since January 3, 2020. They’ve repeatedly postponed the event and now a week before the event over half their guests are not attending and we cannot get our money back unless we attend the event and speak to them. They are trying to replace what’s been bought with something else.
