Dover federal credit union is a terrible so called credit business. Do not do business with this bank. They are a bunch of thieves liars and will steal your money. They stole over $600 from me after a car dealer sent them a final payoff. I was told by several dover fed employees that I was due $650 refund since my car was being paid off and that I'd receive a check with 5 days. Then I was told that the car dealers payoff payment was 1 day late therefore dover fed was taking or stealing my $650 to be used as a late payment. I told several dover fed customer service reps why they just didn't take out a few bucks for the late payoff payment instead of $650. 2 reps agreed with me that only a few dollars late fee should of been deducted but thieving dover fed took my entire $650 refund. That's dishonest. Dover fed doesn't look out for their customers. They steal from their customers. Do not do business with dover fed. I see why they're not a member of the BBB. They wouldn't be able to steal from people if they were a member. Their dishonest. Avoid at all cost

Garbage customer service. Do not get a loan through this credit union unless you already have a checking/savings account with them.

The credibility and proficiency of this credit Union has taken a an unacceptable decline. Complete lack of responsiveness to even the most serious of issues. A lack of knowledge capable of resolving problems. Just apathy and disorganization that causes great frustration to deal with. I ve had a possible breach of my account now for five days and getting no viable assistance and now being past on. I absolutely abhor the way this issue has been handled. To make things worse we have been members for 37 years and I can say there have been good times and bad but this is bad enough to move to another bank.

This is for third time when this bank is trying to steal money from me.
I went to New Castle ,DE to pay my car loan, because I paid in advance, new monthly payment went $25 down, the clerk asked me for to pay initial installment price.
I had to open Dover Federal app to do her job properly, the clerk said just ‘okay’ like is normal, instead at least thanks me.
I will never recommend this bank to anyone.
Very rude employees and totally unprofessional.

This is the worst back ever, if you can call this joke a bank.
      Nothing good.
You can’t even pay online your car payment (in my case)
After I paid my monthly bill, I went again to pay some money toward the principal, guess what ?
The clerk played like she didn’t hear me ( after I told her three times) and charged me interest.
Be careful when you borrow money with them, they are not honest at all.

Run from this bank, they consistently try to sabotage the bank account for "reoccurring fees of $30, after Telling you it won't happen again, plus a guy at work told us Dover Federal credit Union took his money and didn't give it back to him" we closed all our new accounts, some banks are just not good to deal with because they steal and try to justify it. We highly DO NOT recommend this bank.

They are impossible to reach and they are still asking me for my insurance for car loan which I’ve sent 6 times. I can get to my account and can only pay loan by texting.

Never in my life has it been so difficult to may my auto loan with them. In order to pay using an outside account I can set up auto payments which I have done about 4 times but they keep delinking the account for some reason. So I notice I have not paid around mid month. So I call them and nobody picks up. I can't get a paper bill to mail them a check and I can't make a payment using their online portal from an external bank account. Leaving me with one option which is to pay using a text message system that charges me $4.95 for each payment.

I applied for credit card with DFCU. I was asked for 8 check stubs... I provided that. Then I was asked for the last 2 years tax returns.... I provided that. Then I asked to provide transcripts to show that the IRS accepted my tax returns.

I have never had an institution ask for tax returns for a credit card.

The check stubs should have been enough. DFCU should do like all others and do the leg work for verification on there part. When they asked for transcripts I just cancel my application with them.
