This company is awful and hazardous to your health. The perimeter pest control doesn't work well, as I had multiple repeat visits in the Spring for ants in my house. Accurate Pest repeatedly sent out "past due notices" to their customers demanding immediate payment and then later sent an email stating that this was a mistake and to disregard. Accurate Pest attempted to force me into an additional termite contract and I spoke with ****** *******, general manager, who was extremely unpleasant, argumentative and obnoxious. During that phone conversation, Mr. ******* went so far as to say that though my house had no termites, he would be "happy to furnish any future owners of my home" with a report that indicated there were termites. Then the summer came and as per the contract, I advised Mr. ******* July 1, 2022 that I had edible vegetation in the form of fruit and vegetable plants, fruit trees and a Honey Beekeeping box, that were not to be sprayed with Bifenthrin, due to its high toxicity for the remainder of the season. Mr. ******* responded July 5, 2022 that all mosquito spraying services would be suspended and that " Accurate will apply a granular treatment now around the exterior perimeter of those vegetation areas". On August 17 Mr. ******* sent an employee to spray the Bifenthrin anyway. The work of months could no no longer be harvested, jarred, preserved or eaten and the Honey Bee population was effectively wiped out. The attorney I spoke with indicated that following Mr. ******' angry and hostile outbursts, the spraying may have had the intent to cause harm.

Please see the attached and signed agreement between Accurate & Mrs. *******.  The agreement renewed after verbal authorization by Mrs. ******* on 4/4/22 with my office.  The customer was upset that our technician found live termites on her property during a service visit on 6/13/22 and offered a proposal for treatment (which is also attached).  This is a proposal and is at the discretion of the client/potential client to accept the terms.  At this time the customer, ********* *******, is under contract with Accurate through March of 2023 at which point the contract will expire and no further treatments nor payments will occur between Accurate and ********* *******.  Mrs. ******* has also been informed that due to her claims of having edible vegetation, and all of her other concerns after several years of service with Accurate, that any and all service visits must be made in writing by Mrs. ******* or she will forfeit all remaining services of her agreement.

Thank you for your time and mediation of this complaint.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my complaint and have determined that this does not resolve my  issue.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

****** *******, agent for Accurate Termite and Pest Control (ATPC) was advised, as per their contract, on July 1st, 2022 that their continued mosquito spraying with Bifenthrin would cause toxicity to the edible vegetation and kill the honeybees for our beekeeping as well as all other pollinators (see attachment). ATPC confirmed on July 5, 2022 that, “all mosquito spraying services will be suspended until you request they are resumed.”(See attachment).   On 8/17/22, ATPC sprayed my property for mosquitos with Bifenthrin, rendering all food sources toxic and inedible, as well as killing all the honeybees in the beekeeping station.  This is a clear violation of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s labeled use of Bifenthrin EPA Registration No. 53883-118 “Do not allow spray to contact food, foodstuff. Do not treat areas where food is exposed.” Further, it is a violation of Federal Law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.
In addition, ATPC had failed in July, 2022 to execute the quarterly Professional Pest Management service, separate from the mosquito spraying. As per their contract,  the allowed time to complete treatment was until the end of the scheduled month plus 15 days after; the contractually allowed time ATPC gave themselves ended 8/15/22.

Thank you so much for your help,

    Business Response

    Date: 09/21/2022

We have asked that Mrs. ******* provide proof of all of her claims which has still not been provided.  Yes, out of what we thought was good faith, we continued on with services since the customer was continuing to be charged.  After another complaint by Mrs. ******* was received, an email was sent again informing her that all services must be requested in writing moving forward.  As of today, no request was made for services so no services have been provided per Mrs. *******.

Attached is our email to her about requesting services on 8/18/22.

    Thank you.
