We went to r and M automotive back in Sept of 2023 for an oil change, in June of 2024 we went to Jiffy Lube when we got there we where told that they where unable to change the oil as the previous person when they put everything back on they stripped the screws and they where not even sitting prope.rly on there and we where leaking oil. So we left on Monday i called and the owner was out sick so i called him on tuesday and spoke with him he said no problem have your son bring the car over and i will look at it.. I said fine do not touch it without talking to me i want to know what is going on before you do anything to it as i feel like i should not pay for anything is what i told him. so my 17year old son who does not own the car. i received a call about 1 1/2 later and he told me he removed the plug that was wrong but it drained all the oil and so he went ahead (without my approval) and did an oil change and now i owed him 73 and change .. he had no approval from me to do this he had already done the work without callling me and getting my ok . All he was suppose to do was check it out and let me know what he saw and what was going on We want our money back for this

To whom it may concern hello this is ** ********** from R&M automotive in September 1923 we performed an oil change for ******* *****. In June 1924, she inquired to get another oil change at Jiffy Lube and was told that the plug was stripped and leaking. She had called us. I asked her to bring it in to check the vehicle out. She was not there. Her son was. I told him I would check the vehicle over. I did so upon checking it, there was no leak at the oil plug. The plug was very slightly worn. I replaced the plug for her at no charge and of course, when you release the plug, you will lose the oil hence her needing an oil change at Jiffy Lube to begin with the price of the oil change 7395 advised her son , and we perform the oil change. The oil plug can get slightly worn after many oil changes upon removing the plug and reinstalling. It had no issue removing the plug. Unfortunately, we are not responsible for her oil change we feel we are not at fault I can be reached at 302-598-3728 with any questions. Thank you.

Hello, this is Al from R&M automotive replying to my own email to you. I forgot to mention that her credit card company called me. She was trying to dispute the charge. I explained exactly what happened and they refused to refund her money. The info may be helpful. Thank you.

He was told by me during the phone call NOT to do anything until he talked to me this is not my sons car it is mine. In the past he has always called before he did anything so y now is it different If he was going to pull the plug why did he not call me first and say hey if i pull this plug all the oil will come out, no one authorized him to do an oil change my son had an oil filter in the back of the car which is what me and my son would have told him but he made no attempts to contact us until after he did the work without our approval or permission . my next step is to file with Consumer complaint office if he is refusing to give money back

I purchased a Groupon for R & M Automotive for a Synthetic Blend oil change, scheduled the appointment and thought I was set. When I showed up they told me they didn't have the Sythetic Blend needed for my Prius, one of the most popular vehicles on the road, and wanted me to pay over $30 more. This is a bait and switch scam if there ever was one. This company needs to be fined or shut down. Trying to scam an elderlty woman and they are still in business
